As a gamekeeper myself I have lots of tipping related stories, which I won't bore you with. I enjoyed this video, thank you. When I am lucky enough to shoot elsewhere, especially if I know the poor 'keeper who is running the day, I always like to have a folded $1000 note, from a monopoly game. It isn't usually too long before he notices, no matter how polite his may be. Then you can thank him properly!
I love how he looks like he's sitting on an invisible seat! Lol.
In NewZeland we hunt quite differently. We all love to acquire private blocks from land owners to hunt. It is the private landowners who we tip but not in the normal sense. Normally an exchange of seafood or something the farmer can not produce themselves like 1 x doz beers. The term is known as, 'Pissing in their pocket'.
I've only been in the position where I needed to tip a keeper once, but have made contributions to syndicate holiday party funds. To be fair, I think it much more rude to give back a small tip, and embarrass a gun, than to just accept it and realize that not every gun has the means to add a big tip on to the cost of a a day. It's an expression of gratitude after a day that may have been the product of lots of OT, and sacrifice. The gun may have been well aware that his tip was smaller than others, but made the gesture anyway. I certainly hope a keeper presented with a smaller tip has made a good study of the offending gun, and considers whether the gun is actually just a bit lean in the wallet, or being cheap before being ungrateful. For what it's worth, I tipped £20 for a couple hours of duck flighting. And it was not thrown back in my face.
In my experience too often guns tip way below par and some not at all on lower bag shoots.just shows a total lack of etiquette and thought to how much goes into putting on a good atmosphere shooting day. Many have no idea regarding weather conditions etc just want their moneys worth at all costs.Usually these ''guns'' are not too choosey with regard to a sporting bird or not as the case may be.Often they can well afford it but retain a Dickensian attitude even when their shot to kill ratio is abysmal. For me a shoot day is not a numbers game but unfortunately for some it is paramount.I could go on but rest my case.

I was told of a certain tv personality who gave a tip of a bunch of rolled up notes, when he drove up the lane and the Ghillie had a look at his tip it was about £30 of £5 notes.
Do tell - we won't say anything!!
Fieldsports Channel really I cannot tell, maybe you could ask the audience?
Very interesting

Thanks
Very interesting 👍
0830?!?? You make me laugh sir. Thank you for the videos
Ok, I learned something in this one, but what about the beaters, and pickers up? Would one have interaction with them after a shoot at all, or could/should you request the keeper pass along a tip to them? No different there Im sure, but this is how we pass a tip or payment in other situations here. A Pastor (Vicker) at a wedding for instance.
+Patrick B You don't need to. Keepers have their own relationships with beaters and pickers-up. / Charlie
I usually only visit the same shoot once ,and an old trick of mine which I can recommend, is to wrap
a tenner around a wad of monopoly money don't enter into lengthy conversation and slip off quietly!!!...it works a treat!.
you sound like a prick.. tight people are going to burn in hell so change your ways and worship God not money arsehole
Here's your tip...

That’s how I have tipped in hotels all around the world for thirty years it’s not unique to shooting!!!,!
I was born and raised on a farm. I am also a shooter. But I have never heard of anyone tipping a farmer for to thank them for getting up at 5 o'clock every day 7 days a week to provide for the nation.
