- Anakin/Padme and Han/Leia were doomed from the beginning. Can Rey and Ben rewrite the stars and change their doomed fate?
So i originally heard this song on RobertaJully's video. It's amazing, please go check it out. And then when I watched the greatest showman the other night, i thought wow this song is so reylo. The parallels between reylo, anidala, and hanleia are insane. There are so many more than what's in this video but I couldn't fit them in. This is the longest vid I have made in a while.

I love the parallels between the three generations , I hope Ben/Kylo will be redeemed in episode 9: he will choose his love for Rey over power unlike Anakin

Wow, this video is really great! When I first heard this song at the cinema, I knew that this is a Reylo-Song. And your video nearly made me cry. There are so many parallels between these ships and I hope Reylo will rewrite Anidalas destiny, so that they will end up together.

I hope so too. They both deserve happiness and the only way Ben can find that, is with Rey. She's the ONLY person he has left. I'm praying that they get some sort of happy ending.

Omg same!!! When i was watching i was like this song is the perfect reylo song! Every line fits them so well. Another great reylo vid with rewrite the stars as the song is the one by Slayer Air. It's one of my fave reylo edits ever.

It's my biggest fear. However, I have faith in JJ. After all, he wrote these two as something more than enemies in TFA; he created something wonderful, that Rian turned into something beautiful. JJ also produced TLJ so he obviously had a say in the directions of the characters. So I hope he does these two justice in IX. Fingers crossed.

So we've had an "I love you/You love me?" And an "I love you/I know." I think when Ben and Rey say it, all I want is a good old-fashioned "I love you/I love you, too." I think it would showcase the readiness they have to be in a healthy, grown-up relationship (as I expect/hope them to be at that point).
And since the ladies have always said it first, I can imagine Adam Driver knocking "I love you, too" out of the park...like no one's ever said that before in the history of the galaxy. On the other hand, as the Skywalker, it would also make sense for Ben to say it first. Daisy Ridley would ALSO knock "I love you, too" out of the park. And I think Rey deserves to HEAR it more, instead of just having it said back to her, however sincerely.
All in all, great video. Thanks for making me realize we can safely expect an "I love you"... And probably a "hold me" as well. I'm really trying SO HARD not to speculate on 9, but that was a nice little realization. Watching these parallel videos really makes me realize what we haven't seen...yet.

Reylo is a perfect parallel to padme and anakin. But reylo reminds me of kovu and Kiara from the lion king 2

I like Reylo but considering everytime they met they wanted to kill each other I don't think the song suits them! but it's perfect for anakin and padme
I see where you are coming from. I'm not trying to to change your mind but i wanna explain my train of thought.
"rewriting the stars' pretty much means to change reality/the norm/your fate. Reylo are unfortunately doomed no matter how you look at it. They're meant to be enemies. But they aren't. They are meant to end up killing/destroying the other but we all know that they never will. They have so many parallels with Hanleia/Anidala and both these ships were doomed from the beginning- Ani's inevitable fall to the dark side, and hanleia having a pretty explosive relationship.
"Because we're able to be just you and me,
Within these walls But when we go outside,
You're gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all"
---> to me this is the most Reylo line in the song. When it's just the two of them together, they're beautiful, everything fits. (the hut scene). But once they go outside they remember there is a war going on and they are meant to hate each other. Neither side is going to approve of their bond. They are pulled apart because of their different loyalties./views
"Say that the world can be ours"--> ben offered her the galaxy.
"You know I want you. It's not a secret I try to hide. So who can stop me if I decide. That you're my destiny?" Ben is not very subtle about wanting Rey. "But not to me." "Join me. Please." He cried as she left him. They are literally each other's destinies, they are bound together. They are each other's other half. As he rises in power, so does she because they are linked in every way. and to quote the novel "He sensed his destiny and Rey's were somehow intertwined."
Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to explain why I chose it because to me it's very Reylo. It's a song about two people not being able to be together because of the world around them pulling them apart. I 100% agree w/ you that this song is very Anidala. But if you look at it, perhaps that's because Reylo and Anidala are very similar couples with so many parallels. (pretty much the inverse of each other). Sorry that you had to read this xoxo
