Been 5 weeks since my last normal video, my apologies. I’ve just been pushing out shorts so much I haven’t had much time over. but hey they’re back now! I have maybe 3 - 4 more full length videos I want to release before I finish the second part of the History of House on NCS video so stay tuned for that!
Also, I started this project before Tobu’s songs were removed which is why they’re still included. I didn’t really bother replacing them since that would take too much time, hence the slightly outdated view count.

It’s so unbelievable how NCS turned from a channel that has a high chance of great iconic musics with popularity to a complete dead music label receiving really meh musics other than iconic and also respect for the Artist it isn’t meant to send hate on them, It’s just the musics feeling kinda boring even popular Artists didn’t populate the label

I would actually like to extend a genuine thanks for creating and uploading this.
An hour ago at the time of writing this, there's been a new NCS release which just isn't for me. In general, I enjoy very few new releases nowadays. This was just the nostalgia trip I needed to remind myself of the kind of vibes NCS songs *used* to have. Which is all the more reason I'm happy Tobu's old songs just barely managed to make it in this video. To me, once an NCS release; *always* an NCS release. 👍 Great job.

You should check out NomiaTunes if you like the older style of NCS songs, it’s a label founded by Elektronomia (the guy who made Sky High). I discovered it a month ago and was very happy that this style of music is still being made.

Ncs no a entrado en decadencia, de hecho apenas se están expandiendo para nuevos proyectos, la cosa está en que las visitas son menores porque son mas nuevos
Más bien dicho pérdida de popularidad, eso inició en mediados de 2017. Quizás porque simplemente paso su momento y ya. A partir de 2018 se noto bastante la baja de vistas exceptuando canciones como Cradles o Light It Up, así que podemos decir que su decadencia inicio en eso de 2018 hasta ahora. Es un poco triste ver que artistas que hicieron conocido a NCS se fueron (o vuelven muy de vez en cuando) y que la mayoría de canciones ahora no alcanza el millón de vistas.

Tobu has broke the contract with NCS sadly and that is all because of Dan who is now managing NCS. It is technically his fault because he wants to get rid of all old NCS artists so Jim Yosef, Electro-Light, Lensko and Spektrem could disappear from NCS too.
Tobu didn't break any contract, he just didn't want to renew the contract for his old songs. I have no idea where you got the idea that dan wants to get rid of old ncs artists.
It means every artist that has appeared from 2011-2015 will be gone
Don’t start jumping into wild conclusions claiming Dan wants to get rid of old NCS artists. This is what starts misconceptions and rumors that ruin the label’s reputation. I’m not sure what makes you think Dan is getting rid of the old NCS artists, when he accepted songs from most of the artists you mentioned in 2022 and 2023 (Jim Yosef, Tobu, Electro-Light). I think it makes more sense to question the way Billy signed contracts and handled the songs from these old artists back in the day, instead of Dan. Dan’s team are just trying to manage the label the way Billy left it to them with possible issues. Possible issues like these, which happened when the label was under Billy, has ended up being Dan’s job to solve.
@@yaska7399 Dan wants to modernize the label which means he has to get rid of the old songs. When Billy was managing NCS, he never did that, even if it was about modernization. Dan's idea is to make NCS almost similar to any other modern music label's standards such as Monstercat, Spinnin' Records... etc, which is annoying because the old NCS fans will keep disappearing. What do you think why for many new NCS songs there are less views? Simply, because people are coming for old nostalgia. And if that old nostalgia gets removed then fans cannot enjoy the music that they want to hear. There are also many artists that doesn't release on NCS anymore or they just simply move to another label. It is because NCS doesn't provide anything special that artists want. NCS mostly cares about their reputation, not about the artists. For example, Monstercat on the other hand cares about their artists and artists are getting payed very well there. Always analyze the positive and negative reasons more deeply.

You didn’t even know that Dan leads NCS now until someone said it on the comment sections of the reuploads of Tobu’s NCS songs, so I doubt you have the knowledge as to why NCS is doing what they’re doing. How can you assume what NCS is doing when you didn’t even know Billy doesn’t work for the label anymore? Your very first sentence is just wrong; ”Dan wants to modernize the label so he wants to get rid of old songs“ If you simply think logically, why would modernizing the label mean older songs need to be taken down? I don’t see any correlation with that. That just doesn’t make sense, that is simply your own assumption. *NCS takes down older songs when the artist doesn’t renew their contract for their older songs. Otherwise, all the old songs with valid contracts are still on the label, and won’t be taken down.* Ridiculous statement on your part, not based on any facts or logic. Please use common sense and logic instead of thinking with your emotion and feelings.
The thing is, you can’t deliver the “nostalgia“ forever. The label needs to change, evolve, grow and acquire new audiences and dimensions. If it stays the same forever it keeps getting stale and repetetive. Besides, NCS needs to release music that is popular in this day and age. The ”nostalgia“ music isn’t really the trend of this decade anymore, and other music styles have taken over, which is why NCS feels compelled to focus on these newer styles. They can’t generate enough revenue by releasing old EDM styles anymore, as NCS is a business first and foremost, and they need to make money. What you’re saying about what Dan is doing is WILD assumptions. There is LITERALLY NO REASON why he would be compelled to remove older songs, unless their contracts expired, like it did in Tobu’s case. They keep the songs that still have their contracts from the older days. Why do you think some songs from 2013 still exist and haven’t been taken down? Shouldn’t the 2013 songs be taken down first before the later 2014-2015 songs, like Tobu’s songs? Your statement that NCS are actively taking down older songs to modernize the label is simply an assumption backed up only by emotion and no logic. So please I suggest kindly to stop assuming so much simply because your all-time favourie artist’s songs got taken down (which was the Tobu’s own decision by the way), and now you’re sad that Dan will take down the rest of the nostalgia of NCS, which is a wild assumption which doesn’t make sense to me. Granted, NCS could do some things better to run their label and communicate with their artists, but they are not actively trying to remove the nostalgia. You’re wrong in that sense. They are only forced to remove older songs once their contracts expire and the artists don’t renew them. Why would the label be forever stuck in the past? Everything in this world changes and evolves as time goes on, and so does the music industry. NCS unfortunately just needs to comply with these changes. ”Nostalgia” music was the trend back in the 2010s; now it isn’t. Other styles of music are trendy now. So they focus on those. You just have to accept this. The definition of nostalgia is literally tied with the past. Why would the past be eternally here in the present?
I do enjoy Tobu’s style to this day, and I still do enjoy many old nostalgic EDM styles nowadays. You don’t have to restrict yourself to NCS. You can branch out and listen to the type of music you truly enjoy from other labels and artists and platforms. Unfortunately labels like NCS and Monstercat have to comply with changing trends, which is why certain eras of music get overshadowed and forgotten. Some simply may sound outdated in this day and age. It’s a factor of times changing and music evolving. You don’t necessarily need to evolve your taste with the music industry evolving, but it’s good to be aware of why things are changing the way they are in the music industry instead of simply yearning for things to be back to how they were.
