I have extensive knowledge having built about 10 computers. This one had me stumped, though. It was for a computer that I built for my sister and she's been using it for 10 years now. First, the onboard video card went out and there was no display. I had to keep turning it off without shutting it down. This led to bigger problems. I took the hard drive out and hooked it to my PC with an external USB docking station. I used Low-level format tool. Then after that, I had to use disk management to create partitions. I always format drives with C as the boot drive and D as storage, so if Windows becomes corrupted you don't have to lose all of your files & documents. My mistake was making BOTH partitions as active. It would copy the setup files then go into Windows is starting, then freeze. I brought the hard drive home again tonight to change that second partition from being active. Hopefully, this fixes the problem. I actually still use Windows Vista on my main computer. I've never had a single issue with it in 15 years. Never crashed once. 🙏 Acer Aspire 6920. I bought it for the cool media pad on the left side of the keyboard, but in actuality, I rarely use it. This was a great video, though.
Windows failed to start , A recent hardware or software change might be the cause . To fix the problem: 1. Insert yor windows installation disc and restart your computer. 2. you hvnt told how to deal with the old hard drive if its not ok ... coz every one is not having sapre hard drives and other laptops in their homes like you ... so we need proper sloution of this problem not just a side issue resolver
Sometimes this can be caused by an unfinished reset as before I got the error because the laptop turned off while the recovery and the error occurred so I had to restart the recovery progress
for those of you who have tried everything...... its time to download a fresh iso of windows off of a usb and choose the "keep my files" option otherwise u cant do anything from what ive seen

Disconnect all the USB drives and ejects any inserted disks, so if that works

If you don’t know what MGR in BOOTMGR means it refers to Manager so BOOTMGR refers to Boot Manager

Press F2 than. I mean, just read what the pc tell you to click to go to BIOS.
If the internal hdd bad, I would of just swap it out with ssd and re-install windows, rather than installing windows to external hdd

Tapping on F10 did nothing but bring up BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart and if I had a Windows 7 disc it would be a no brainer.

i just launched a game through a different hard drive and it totaled my 7 installation :))

I made a mistake of deleting Ubuntu of Win 7 and now I am stuck on the Grub ,I have installation discs but it just boots into Grub.
you need to search your boot menu key then select your installation media
My bios asks password and this is old computer and i have no idea what it is
