I believe at one time the grounds were magnificent, but the house was really neat too, with the hidden closets, and the strange design, I loved the piano and Ed (the piano man) amazing!😂 You guys are by far, the best urban explorers that I have ever watched! No joke.
I pray🙏🏽 for your recovery Maria and wish you all the best for the future I hope you manage to fight this illness and live a very long successful happy life😔 Good luck with your utube channel… If you don’t mind what’s the name of your channel? When I was 12 my best friend was diagnosed with leukaemia she past 4yrs later but in those 4yrs she lived life to the fullest and even managed to go to Disneyland with the “make a wish foundation” (New Zealand) this was back in 1989… I still have here hair to this day and a bracelet we made together in a nice box… Her name was Karen Brown/Beasley
Could be a beautiful house. Dana Zeera doesn't seem to have looked after it or cared about it. 😢 I hope it gets restored and not pulled down. GB has lost so many lovely buildings. Thank you for the tour. Enjoyed the video very much 💖💖
You are always welcome! Glad you enjoyed the tour, such a cool house. I wouldn't say no! I hope nothing bad came of Dana, but the house is now being restored.
As always, such a great explore! In America, we would call that home design a split level or home with "a walk out basement". It's good that it will be salvaged as it is a beautiful home.
I agree, I live in Utah, not very many homes like it. In fact, it's a rarity. However, UNDERGROUND homes, there used to be many, with the top 4 or 5 feet of the roof sticking out at most, like the one my mom grew up in (WITH 6BROTHERS AND 1 SISTER! HOLY CRAP,) its gone now, whew, it's neat to see the difference in the countries.
See the Spring has arrived and some lovely flowers will blossom soon. The mansion is very shy and modest but the grounds...impressive. You guys did the splendid tour. Thank you so very much and cheers to you from Toronto,eh? !
Hi Alex, Ned & Ed, for a big house it was a crap use of space, that grand piano was beautiful, hopefully no vandals get in there because that will get broken to pieces unfortunately. That slide by the window was probably once a coal chute. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx 🥰
I always look forward to Sunday. Magnificent explore. What a beautiful piece of property. You always find some great places. Can’t wait for the next upload 😊 Have a great week 😊
Thanks as always for the kind words. Yeah I actually really liked this property, put a Normal roof on it and that'd stop the leaks. Have a good week too 😁👍👍
Sadly this large property caught fire In 1941, being thatched, a spark from the chimney with a lack of water supply ,the fire took hold and destroyed. The furniture was saved but that only narrowly escaped when one of the large chimneys fell. It was indeed a beautiful house and of an era when in 1936 it was still design fashionable to thatch such a large house. During the war years the property was left and from the burnt shell they created a house from the basement and ground floor with a flat roof. So sad for from the photographs it was a magnificent home . Thank you Alex and the guys !(It has planning permission to be replaced , so I presume that is why it has been left to decay !!! Hope they save the piano and reclaim the front door which survived the fire !)
Hey guys, this was a great tour, thanx. Your urban experience is versatile and entertaining. I'm so glad I found your channel. This former home seems quite unique, but beautiful. What's left on the walls was decorated by a professional. Amazing find. Thank you for this wonderful video.
You never disappoint!! I was happy to see Ed, too. Wow!! That house has everything… tennis courts and all. I got to see my crush.. you!!! Thank you for a great time going through this house!!
I found you guys just yesterday, and i like your content so i subscribed, and Mr cameraman, you have a very calming voice. This house appears just a tad art deco, subtle touches on the outside. The inside is a propper mish mash of eras.
I really enjoy your channel! The places you find are amazing time capsules full of great architecture and sometimes some really interesting things! Thanks so much and keep up the adventures!
Myself and my mate worked on a horse and cart back in the 80s in Dublin. We did this kind of work for a living. We collected old metal fireplaces, antiques anything really. We came across some great finds worth big buck's. One of our best finds was a solid pine carousel with ten horse's 🤫☘️
Really great explore. I wonder what happened to Dana - I hope she is well. Explores like this raise many questions and offer a glimpse into a past life. There is often something melancholy, but with hope for the future that someone will restore these great buildings to their former glory.
Stunning property I'd be happy to live in there. And the piano needs to be rescued such a beautiful piece. The craftsmanship inside the piano is beautiful aswell 👍 Great find. My concern would be the piano as I love instruments but not left astray like this gem. Why would anybody leave it behind 🤔 There is specialists out there who know how to handle pianos for bringing in to homes etc and out again. A lot involved taking care of pianos. I'd be quite happy playing this 🎹🎹🎹🎹
So many little rooms on the lower level. Maybe that was where the caretaker lived at one stage. Those lifted floor boards were weird. Hopefully the oak floor boards will be salvaged along with the piano.
Hahah I ALLWAYS PLAY EASTENDERS ON THE PIANO ITS THE ONLY THING I CAN PLAY HAHAH LE4ND IT AT MIDDLE SCHOOL HAH😂😂😂 STUNNING PIANO THO, JUST FOUND YR CHANNEL, ITS BRILLIANT EXPLORE SO AV SUBSCRIBED HOPE TO SEE MORE STUFF FROM U ALL VERY SOON, THANKS FOR SHARING GUYS 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
It's the "a few good years" syndrome. People in various professions and have a few great years, spend a lot of money on houses, then can't afford to keep them.
Theres an article from Harpers Bazaar 2017 featuring photos of Dana Zeera out on the front lawn of that house. I imagine these houses can be incredibly expensive in upkeep, could be why she left. I don't get why she left that Piano and all the music equipment behind.🤔
I'd love to live in a house like that , beautiful windows , nice sized rooms . Such a shame the mold got hold of it and made it uninhabitable . Stuart in Canada ..
I love your explores. The pristine ones with everything left are my favourite, but i do love the dilapidated ones, and the quirky ones, too. This one gave me such awful vibes thoughm even with repairs, cleaning and redecorating i couldn't live there, somwthing not right about that place! 😧
Sometimes you wish the owner is watching and realises how much work is needed to repair their place and they need to get a move on before it is totally wrecked because of neglect. Just don’t get the person who installed those pipes on the wall.
@@VacantHaven you know, a backdrop to pose in front of to get your photo taken! The infinity part comes when you can't see where the top or the bottom. You would kinda look like you're suspended in the image!!
@@MsMesem It's pre-cavity walls so no quick/cheap insulation fix there. A lot of roofage/walls to somehow fix up some "aftermarket" internal additional insulation. A lot of heat losses to ground, I'd think, unless the ground/base could be ripped out/replaced by better insulating material. Cheaper in the long run to knock it all down & start afresh with modern building standards
If a property developer wants the land then they may neglect to maintain the roof so the house will be come dangerously unstable and have to be pulled down if it doesn’t fall down and that gets around a listed building status, or so I was told
The grounds are beautiful, I'm guessing the original mansion was replaced with this 30s 40s build ? and then they slowly ran out of money so they rented it out.
I find it depressing to see such neglect ,but that's just me. I came across a four story wooden watermill once, someone had started a fire on the upper floor, kids most likely. If the see it's uncared for it's open season to trash it.

i worked on the granny flat here in 2006, very sad to see it decaying, i hope it gets restored its a lovely place 👍
Hello Alex! What a great place! I really liked this strange home. Right up my alley as they say. Thank you for sharing this explore with me! 😊❤

That grand piano is a Bechstien which is around Sterling 100,000 ! Thanks for closing it.
Wow what a great house it was, hopefully it will go back to it glory because it has cool designs inside. Great video ❤
I want it, would be quite safe in the walk out basement.

What an awesome house. Unusual but very interesting layout. Would have been a real beauty in its heyday. Great video guys 👍
Thanks Bill 👍
That is a beautiful house. Hope the piano is saved it was gorgeous. You all do a great job exploring and I watch quite a few of these kind of videos.
Thank you Clara, from what I gathered, the piano is safe and sound.
Hope it's been Tuned, or was thar Edds playing 🤣
The piano has weathered well as none of the notes were stuck. Interior looked perfect.

Thought it was about a 1950 build.
I missed the premier, dang it, I'm never home when you guys go live!😭 I'm going to watch now!
The above lamp in the hallway is a Seguso Murano lamp made in Italy. Expensive and vintage. It's the one that has a patterned metal frame around it

Some of the places you show us, I think would be lovely to renovate and live in, but this one gave me the creeps. Still fascinating to see, thanks.

I love these videos. I never understand why these places don’t get loot for fixtures or anything that could be repurposed.

They're difficult and expensive to move, so it might have been more cost effective for her to just buy a new one.
@@bekah7876 That piano is worth a lot more than removals. I wouldn't leave it there that's suicide.
The design and materials make it a real problem, im guessing not just damp but very cold, you would need a lot of money to heat the place.
Interesting place .I looked the singer up on the internet which was informative. Thanks for the video .Hi 🇨🇦

Love this one . Would be nice to see when its finished.
Looks like the singer who owned is still working with band. Checked there website had released new material in 2022

It was a weird old house this but actually very nice!
