Sad that articfigures turned out to be a scammer. Deleted all of his social media and won’t answer anyone back about their orders. Lucky you got yours.
It's a horrible situation and I just can't wrap my head around it. Never expected that out of him as he always seemed like a good dude.

That sucks. First time seeing this video then got my hopes crushed in the same moment. I wanted this so bad.
It wasn't luck. I've heard a lot of people received figures of lesser quality than what Andy got. Likely Artic was using him unwittingly as an advertising platform.

Believe it or not this is actually one of my favourite Godzilla designs, also about time there’s a fully articulated figure of the Tuna eating mutated iguana

It's not my favorite but I do love the design especially the animated version
The only problem for me is that it has no atomic breath. Just a small nitpick.

I knew Articfigures would kill at this figure and can't wait to pick one up. On the other hand, I'm still laughing at Toho for denying the world this kind of Godzilla figure and missing out on making some big bucks.
Fr, articefigures is expensive but I might pick up this one.
Here's hoping for SHMA and Hiya gives It to us.

For painting the taxi and Apache helicopter, I would suggest painting them using toothpicks.
As far as I'm concerned, anytime the creature is being referred to from the 1998 film (and superior animated series) specifically, it's Godzilla. Anything from Final Wars onward is Zilla.
So far this is artic figures best looking figure in my opinion. This is just an incredible fan service figure . Amazing paint job too , Mr Andy
It’d be even better if he responded to emails about missing or broken pieces, kinda shady.
He was recently outed as a notorious scammer and has now deleted anything to do with his “brand” so definitely a scam

What an awesome Godzilla! I remember seeing a toy in stores many years ago with the release of the movie, couldnt have it unfortunately and im sure this one is on another level beter than that one... not sure if ill ever own this one thought but its awesome! Well done on the paint job.

I love this figure! The only thing that’s stopping me is the price, which I totally understand, but I may have to consider the non assembled one.
I sadly have to agree. As much as I love this design, and want a articulated figure of it, I don’t think it’s worth 200+ for me :(

id love to get 2 of these. 1 thats painted based on the movie and the other painted based on the animated series, but id get the one based on the animated series painted as if it was a live action version of the animated series zilla
Reminder, if it's based on the 98 film it's legally still Godzilla. It didn’t become Zilla until Final Wars
This is true! Though the Zilla nickname has just stuck with me over the years. I've never looked at it as any kind of disrespect, just a nickname given to this particular version of Godzilla.

Hey i dont know if you have any kind of contact with artic figures can you please convince him not to scam us i dont know man im just so mad please if you can do anything or say anything to him please do so he wont respond to me and he took down his website.
I've been trying to contact him for a few weeks as well with no response. I'm not sure what happened. I know people were getting shipping notifications as recently as yesterday but I can't seem to contact him at all.

Oh No, it’s the Prototype. Well, it’s not in full color yet. But I still don’t know if I can get this one in full color like one of those other Figures you recently reviewed & I replied about in a good way. What can I say? I have good taste for the best & the brightest figures of Dinosaurs & Dragons that have ever been made. If I ever get one of them that is.

Hey Andy, since you couldn’t count how many pieces the tail of the figure has, I’ll help. The figure’s tail has 21 pieces, I figured out by closely watching your review on the figure.

You did amazing. Is the figure fragile at all? I know it’s resin and I’m not familiar with the feel of those figure but I’m worried it’ll just be a loose mess.

Actually this is godzilla 1998 not zilla. If it was zilla it would look like the Japanese version for the godzilla final wars movie. The thing I try to say is that godzilla 1998 and zilla are tow different characters

I dont hate Zilla at all bu hes not Godzilla though. Hes his own seperate Kaiju and not Godzilla his japanese cousin. Hes one of my faves though design wise.
You did super wonderful, and I have a nickname for Zilla, and it's "Iggyzilla" because Zilla's actually a giant mutated Green iguana and not a giant mutated Marine iguana and I know that because during the intro of the 1998 Godzilla film a Green iguana passed by the eggs and I realized that those were her eggs.

Unfortunately just last night, the person who was making it went rogue pretty much and disappeared. Right now people are thinking he ran off with a bunch of people's money and that's most likely what occurred Unfortunately. I'm hoping not but as of now it's not possible to buy this anymore.
I always hated Zilla, as it was not Godzilla to me. Absolutely hated it. But damn it if I'm not tempted to get this figure. Looks real nice, especially painted. 👍

Been debating getting one but im not sure my painting skills are good enough yet, i use Vallejo game colors which tend to be good quality, but painting scales and textures like that have never been my strong suit, you did a great job with yours tho, but how would you get them to paint it for you tho? How was the painting process? Did you have to take it apart? Also, how's the engineering? Do you need to worry about chaffing with the pieces rubbing up against each other? Also, could you tell us what paints you used?
The painting process was pretty easy on this one. Sometimes with other similar models it's been tricky but the movement was so smooth on this one it was pretty easy. I haven't had any chaffing so far as I used a sealer on it and none of the joints are stiff. I painted it while it was assembled because I think it helps the transitions on the model stay smoother and more natural. The paint I used is from Apple barrel. It's a company the Makes acrylic paints you can find for very cheap at Walmart. Colors used I believe we're territorial beige, pavement Grey, black, khaki, and a variation of blue but I can't recall which. Also some pinks, reds, browns and a satin white for the inside of the mouth and teeth. Eyes were golden sunset I think.

I was skeptical about the elastic engineering, but now I'm actually thinking about saving up and placing an order! What sealant did you use? I've been using Army Painter Matte Varnish, which is still on the glossy side for my taste (and frankly I have no clue if that's even a proper sealant 🫠 not very knowledgeable when it comes to paints)
@gojiraguy200 I use Allen's clear acrylic matte sealer. You can also find it at Walmart. Although I use it because it's has a very slight shine (depending on how much you use) so if you'd prefer no shine at all id recommend Testors Dullcote. It works great as well!
