As a marine corps veteran that struggles with PTSD I don't sleep much I love all 3 versions of this song the cranberries bad wolf and yours are all amazing when I wake up in the middle of the night having relived those bad experiences this song helps sooth the hurt and servivors guilt we are all Zombies the guys that died in combat the guys that survived combat and lost the struggle later and the rest of us still fighting struggling to live our best lives not just for ourself but for those that gave all so we could still be here

I may be a senior Headbanger from the beginning of heavy metal, but I live in a college town where I share Dan’s music with everybody young and old. My six-year-old granddaughter likes to hear him sing as well. Not surprising, her dad and her uncle are metal heads as well.
Not only is your voice sublime, and your delivery breathtaking, your diction is exquisite. You sing the very last letter of each word clearly. Just like my singing teacher in theatre school taught me. No swallowing of words and leaving off the last letter, lazily. You are a phenomenal performer.

The Troubles were horrible for both sides. What Brits did was not right. What IRA did was not right. I hope people are healing now. Also Dolores was one of the best female singer ever.

Hello...I am a 68 year old woman living in the UK. I have been listening to your music for a while now and I have been loving it as it's the music/songs that I've been listening to since my 20's. I would love to hear your voice on any song from one of Uriah Heap's album's. They have been my favourite band since the 70's. Mind you I have a few other solo artists/groups that I was partial to. Thank you for allowing me to enjoy the music from my early years.

Why did this song move me because believe it or not My exhusband came from the Catholic side of Ireland and my family heritage consist of Kings and Queens. My Great Grandmothers family moved to Ireland during King Henry's rule and became spokes people for the Catholic faith. They were the Blakes of Belmont. This song represents a huge hole in my heart for the Irish.

I wasn’t sure about Dan doing this one. Delores’ voice is so haunting in her delivery. I did enjoy Dan’s version immensely because of the power he put behind it. This song breaks my heart every time I hear it. This version gives it a new depth and still echoes relevance today.

Mr. Vasc, I don't even know if you will see my comment but, sometimes I get on RUclips to amuse myself with the Karen video's and also, I enjoy watching the Kings Guard. Now that being said I saw a recommended video of a (Heavy Metal Artist ??) singing Amazing Grace, which is my favorite hymn. My curiosity got the better of me and I am so thankful because your voice is AMAZING and I had to listen to even more of your music!!! In Sound of Silence you DEFINITLY give the Disturbed version, (which I love) a run. When you sing, the PASSION you feel is evident on your face and in your voice!!!!!!! I have been 67 years on this earth but listening to your music makes me feel like I'm in my 20's. God bless you and I will continue to listen. I have been passing this over for a few years; so glad I finally watched it. I wish I could give it a thousand thumbs up ; still wouldn't be what it deserves. I heard him say something about not doing songs with emotion other than positive ones. He is so completely fit for these kinda of over coming real human emotion video and songs. He enables us to face the negative in life and realize we are OK , our thought are not odd and we shouldn't hide and put our feelings in some secret vacuum and whirl it out into space to rid our crazy selves of them only to have them come back like a boomerang and blind side us with the horror of realizing those feelings are part of our "self". He seems to take on the emotions so real and deep, maybe they are part of him too; letting us see and hear that, if A and B ,then C makes sense and these feelings are ok, they are part of the human condition and we, the ones who feel them and are also affected by Music on a very deep level, are just like Dan, who we admire. Music is a place we retreat to to think, reason, and validate our sanity when our personal environmental preasures spins us into crazy chaos. Affirmation and resolution of these feelings enables us to get up and come out fighting. We are by no means weak people, quite the opposite in fact. " If" we fall, we always rise up and pull others with us. This strength, in part, we get from music; a space where we can retreat in safety for a few moments, where we can pull everything together. We have the hearts and the strength of Warriors. I hope he, and other exceptional artists, never stop showing their true being and never let the music die so we can all more easily realize each time that we are indeed alright; we are not victims, and we share a deep kinship with others. We are, after all... just human.

I haven’t heard you sing anything yet that I didn’t enjoy. I would love to hear you sing The Old Rugged Cross. It’s an old gospel song originally sung by Jimmy Swaggart . It was my Dads favorite song and he died when I was 16 and I really loved listening to you singing Amazing Grace, my Dad was a Pentecostal Preacher so I grew up listening to gospel music.

The love of this song has so many reasons. I really loved The Cranberries and this is the first rock song I can remember my son and I singing and bonding together over. We bonded over music and a love of comic books. Plus, it sings to our Irish souls.

A song that moved me is "here without you" which my husband used as a musical attachment to a birthday video he sent me while he was doing a regional assistance mission in the Solomon Islands and could not be home for my 40th birthday. It always tugs at my heartstrings.

The first time I heard the Bad Wolves cover of this was the day my daughter was born, and it was shown to me by her mom’s boyfriend, her stepdad. Unfortunately he passed away Valentines Day a year later, now every time I hear this song I think of him and our daughter. R.I.P. Matt Heineman. Beautiful cover Dan!

I remember hearing the song from the Cranberries way back in the day when i was a kid and I had chills and goosebumps from it. Then I heard Bad Wolves version and the same thing happened all those years later. Now I just listened to your version a few years after the bad wolves version and the same thing happened! I discovered Dan through FNT, now I absolutely love his music. His voice is amazing and I love his covers. My 6 month old son will always bob along to his music. Plus if I ever put Dan's music on while I was pregnant with him. He would kick the crap out of me so he has loved him since he was in the womb lol 😆❤
