    He was fast and quick. And he did what he did and then just hands the ball to the official. I definitely think he was the goat.

    Saw Barry live here in Detroit. Met him too. Trust me, seeing Barry play in person is a life changing experience. He was a god out there. GOAT and it's not close. No one else could do this.

    The crazy part is he probably had 30 or 40 different 1- yard runs that could have been on this list.

    The #9 spot... Is the MOST ELUSIVE, UP THE MIDDLE RUN... I'VE EVER WITNESSED. HE WAS ABSOLUTELY UNTOUCHED AND WEAVED HIS WAY THROUGH THAT LINE. WOW!!!

    Hey AB, just think, Barry got most of his yards on his own, imagine if he played for the Cowboys in the early 90’s with their offensive line. Barry would have flooded every team with his miraculous orange juice, the Cowboys could have won 3-4 Super Bowl’s in a row with Barry and Emmitt rotating in and out easily. 🔥🔥🔥🍊🍊🍊

      @987654321wormy 3 месяца назад +5

      I'm a Cowboys fan and I'll say if he played for them in the 90s, he would have had multiple 2,000 yard seasons. He and Walter Payton are my favorite backs.

    • @mulbane
      @mulbane 2 месяца назад +2

      I love the idea, but there’s no way they would have had both backs rotating lol. I still think Barry could play behind the current lions OL and be effective.
      But this isn’t college ball, there was no chance Emmitt were going to be on the same team.

    • @987654321wormy
      @987654321wormy 2 месяца назад +1

      @@mulbane agreed. Barry got drafted the season before Emmitt came out. If the Cowboys had gotten Barry first, there would have been no need for Emmitt.

    Barry's full speed was amazing, but ive always thought it was his ability to get to full speed from 0 that was exceptional

    Play no. 20 - Barry did NOT run out of gas. He ran out of his shoe and couldn't cut. Earlier in the play, a Tampa defender tried to tackle him, and Barry left him holding his shoe.

  • @cbebrad
    @cbebrad 2 месяца назад

    What makes this even more amazing is that the Lions didn't have much of a passing game, so most of the time Barry was having to run against defenses looking for a run and having their best run defenders on the field. Had Barry had a quarterback who opponents had to fear, Barry would have had even greater success. I think he would have had five or six 2000 yd seasons. He sometimes didn't get the ball much in the second half of games because the Lions were usually way behind on the scoreboard. So his career numbers could have been even more amazing.

    "He pulled his hamstring." So many players did that chasing Barry, either for real or as an excuse for not catching him. 😂😂

    3 of those long TDs vs Minnesota were in the same game. They were down 3 scores in the 4th like 5 min to go. 3 Barry runs and game over.

    Never seen 11 Cowboys on the rug... 51 just got he humility knocked out of him and Tony Cassius is still trying to find Barry. Emmit Smith on that play: "he made them look like straight up fools"

    5 steps from a dead stop to full speed. He wasn't the fastest, but he was the best at acceleration and deceleration in every dimension. I consider him the most elusive running back to ever live. edit: Rod Woodson blew out a knee on a Barry stutter step.

    Barry at 45 yards out is hard to stop but anything longer than that they can catch him most of the time.

    Highlight #20 Barry had lost a shoe thats why he got caught. One of the opposing linemen had pulled his shoe off trying to catch him.

    Barry's top speed wasn't the fastest in the league but his acceleration was better than anyone's. he went from 0-100 in no time flat and he could catch
