In India we have different types of halwa bro.. it is a really loved dish here. There is the Kesari Halva, Sooji Halwa, Badami Halwa etc etc etc.😍 Most of the persian sweets like Faloodah are also in India. The brst Faloodah is the Lakhnavi Faloodah from the city of Lucknow!! And that ice cream you mentioned, is called kulfi

Dear Amir, when i lived and studied in Iran i can tell you, that i absolutely loved all iranian desserts, sweets and cakes. A lot of the shops in tehran and other iranian cities were always full of different kinds of sweets, biscuits, cookies, cakes and chocolates. Particularly i loved traditional iranian cookies. I remember, how i was buying so many times in these shops. However, among all iranian sweets and desserts, i think, that i loved iranian ice cream (bastani) with folude. Yes, i know, that they produce folude in shiraz. Shiraz is the city in Iran, which is located close to the coast of persian gulf (southern part of Iran). I haven't been to shiraz, unfortunately, but i would love to. I absolutely loved most of all iranian yellow ice cream with safferon (bastani) and sometimes i wanted, that they add the folude to it as well. I bought this ice cream so many times and i absolutely loved it. Sometimes i really miss these days in Iran to be honest.

The rangeenak is really good cuz the dates are really sweet but then the flour on top kind on evens it out and then the walnuts make it like crinchy and its just sooo good

When my boyfriend came back to Australia from Iran I made him saffron ice cream and he brought back sohan and gaz with him. I loved the gaz so much we bought more from a Persian store over here.

Sohan is a type of halva. It is cooked with considerably more yummy fats than a typical halva, it is left to harden and it then resembles a form between toffee glass and brittle.
I still haven’t come across a Persian poem or story that liberates the inner gem of existence into ‘as a matter of fact’. I’m sure in Farsi my words surmise a fable or two.

I love the fact that in India we have a version of all of these. The names are also very similiar. Like Sohan is literally Sohan halwa. Must have been the result of sultanate and later mughal era cultural dissemination. They loved Iranian culture. Farsi was the court language of India for 700 years. Love Iran and its culture.

The texture is kind of like a kids silly putty when it gets dry or like hard marshmallows the type u would find in cereal but a bit more fluffy :::YUM:::
