Dolphins fall in love quite easily appearently, and when what they perceive as their Partner just vanishes they get depressed and can actually take their own lives.
Intercourse would obviously establish that kind of relationship for a dolphin but appearently it can also happen when they´re treated more or less like a pet, by handlers or trainers.
Dolphins hold their breath for a long time while under the water so they should be able to easily hold their breath for the duration it takes an average session of copulation. And to be fair, there's enough humans with a fetish for choking and oxygen deprivation that I wouldn't be surprised some of them got a kick out of that as well - after all, as the video pointed out, Dolphins are at the primate/humanoid level when it comes to perversion.. or sexual recreational creativity if you prefer.
Awesome video keep up the good work!
"I didn't know octopus could be that colour"
Uhmm...octopi can be any colour, and they can change their colour whenever they want.
They're called octopuses, not octopi, lol. It's not a Latin word, so it doesn't use Latin grammar.
@@VelkanAngels According to most sources: both 'octopuses' and 'octopi' are acceptable words for the plural form of 'octopus'. Hell, there's even a third word for it that is far less commonly used, that being 'octopodes'.
Honestly, this video is one of those things that make us realize why theres an actual serious debate over if dolphins are sapient or not(not sentient, sapient, human level intelligence, and we don't know)
With how retarded some people are, that's not as high of a bar as most people think
Yeah. "Sentient" just means having senses. *Worms* are sentient. Hell, most *plants* are sentient.
Every animal is sentient
Love you guys
Ah, well it was worth a shot
