@schulz2868 I have frameless glasses and I don't have pressure on them. I would suspect it would depend on how thick they are. My glasses have thin arms so easy to slide in.

I do have a video installation so check that out.
Really appreciate this review - looking at this exact helmet - can you comment on noise levels and any water ingress (it’s rains sometimes in Ireland) 😂
Hi Rob, water ingress has never been a problem for me. Just make sure your vents are closed. Even with some vents open as I have forgotten to close them it's been fine. It is a loud helmet as most adventure helmets are. Decent level of wind noise. I use a good set of quality ear plugs for long rides in the saddle which I've used on my older road helmet anyway. I just installed a Bluetooth headset on this one too and a video is available. Headsets are almost impossible to fit to adventure helmets. Thanks for the comment
Nice review. Is the main visor spherical? Seems to be slightly, if at all. Does it have annoying reflections? How is the wind noise above 130Km/h? How is the fit compared to the same size of an ARAI (if you had one)? I have a flat, narrow head and ARAIs fit me perfectly.
Thank you. Haven't noticed any reflections on the visor. as with most adventure helmets they are load. If I am riding for a consistent period of time I generally use ear plugs. The helmet is fairly airy. The wind noise does pick up when moving at higher speeds hence the ear plugs. Haven't had an Arai helmet before. I have a large head and that fits me perfectly. I don't let the wind noise get to me so despite this I like it. The material used to make it is excellent. It's comfortable and light when compared to my previous helmet.

@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure The LS2 Explorer Carbon was actually one of the quietest helmets tested by the guys on the Champion Helmets youtube channel. Check 1.34 in the time line. I did mention various safety features of the helmet. Thanks for dropping in the ECE certified. 👍🏻
You didn't mention that the visor has no stepped opening. It's either open or closed no?
Something I had not considered whwn compared to my old helmet which also has no step opening. Not something I have had an issue with.
It stays wherever you put the visor.
Very informative ❤️
Thank you
Hey Ben, Nice video, very informative!!! How is the wind noise without the earbuds or with the earbuds? Thanks
@@buddy_info yeah wind noise isn't great. Like most adventure helmets there isn't much sound dampening. Excellent air flow and comfort. I use earplugs for long tours. Consider subscribing if you haven't already. There is a good library of videos available to you. Thanks for your view time.
Did you check the pinlock? I just opened mine, and it's yellow. It ominously says "daytime use only". So I won't be installing that one, then.
Mine is still in the packet. Not something I have used ever.
Excellent vid mate! thankyou
Pleasure. Thank you Mike. You looking at an adventure helmet?
Where can i buy this helmet size 2xl im from Philippines

Hey... intercom???
Hello there, I have another video available for connection of a intercom system. Check that out.
I quite like riding with visor up two clicks for ventilation but still have eye protection. From what I can see the LS2 has no positions at all apart from up and down? Can you have it half way or 3/4 ?
Hi Orange, the visor is still so you can leave the visor half way or even a little. I do this and have had no issues. It may not have preset for positions but it works.
Awesome, thanks!

@@orange42 congrats. Glad you managed to try it on.
Do you have problems with prescription glasses in that helmet?
No issues. I wear glasses very comfortably in this helmet
@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure thanks
I didn't hear you mention it, but I may have missed it... do you wear your glasses when you ride? And if so, how did you find it to be when you put on your glasses?
I'm finding it hard to find ADV helmets at the low-mid price range that have good fitment with glasses.
Hi there. I do indeed wear glasses. They are easy to put on thankfully. A bit tight through the gap but no problem otherwise.
@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure Thanks so much for the quick reply! Glad to hear it, so many I've tried are awful for that.
Sounds like I've found my next helmet then for a price the wife won't have me sleeping on the sofa for. 😄
Do these helmets work well with your glasses underneath?
Yeah no issues. I wear glasses without any problems.
Thx 4 the vid! Sorry, I didn't understand: does it have a quick lock, or a double ring for the strap? I have a motocross LS2 helmet, and it feels super high quality. I Will probably get one Like yours 4 touring. Regarding the earphones: does it have spacings already, or will I have to cut some foam out? Thanks!
It has a metal quick lock. I've been happy with it. They also do a carbon version.
It does have space in the helmet to put speakers in however mounting the external module is difficult.
Thanks!!!

@@techtoth1 pleasure. I do try to respond to all my viewers as quickly as possible. Appreciate your viewership.
I have been using the MX700 Subverter Evo for enduro riding and now bought my first adventure bike which got me to check our adventure helmets. MX701 Carbon has been an option but I see you seem to be very happy with the non carbon version. Have you considered getting the carbon version?
Hi there, thanks for the comment. I had considered it but the price put me off and I had a budget to stick too. Delighted with this helmet
top vents are real or just fake as on Nexx WRL? how about puting ear speakers inside, is there cuttouts for them, as i hear theres no cuttouts and instaling comm system is problematic
Hi there, the top vents do wokr on this one. There is space for speaker as I had a old sena unit on however the issue is mounting it externally.
How does it feel in highway speeds? Noise level etc?
Hi Sten. Like with all adventure helmet they are loader than your sport helmet. I've had it for over a year now and it doesn't bother me. For those long rides for hours I use a good set of ear plugs.
@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure The LS2 Explorer Carbon was actually one of the quietest helmets tested by the guys on the Champion Helmets youtube channel. This is actually what has attracted me to this helmet, although the Explorer version of the helmet has a different shell (fiberglass instead of carbon fiber) but the overall design looks identical, so maybe this helmet is or is not quiet IDK. I will keep researching but I will just go for the carbon version if I can't find the difference.
@@Bordpie Thank you for your comment. My experience in Adventure helmets is limited but i know compared to a sport helmet its louder. not sure when compared to other adventure helmets.
i want to use this helmet for riding a jetski in cold weather, so I actually want to avoid wind circulation and the inside getting wet.
Do you think this helmet is effective at retaining heat and keeping water out if the vents are all closed and the shield is locked down?
The wind circulation is limited. It has the chin guard to reduce wind noise. Shouldn't be a problem with keeping water out. In regards to heat I haven't had a chance to wear it properly in winter. I haven't noted a problem during the early winter period and autumn.
@@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure Thanks! I ordered one so I'll see how it is on a jetski. I just couldn't get away from its design- it looks amazing
Noise??
Adventure helmets are noisy in my opinion. What noise are you referring too?
@EireRider.motorcycle.adventure Iv never owned one but looking to purchase one now. Are they all noisy? Because im already going def from my race ones
@@herculeez_fadipe i had a full face helmet previously and this one is definitely loader. I use ear plugs for long journeys however I used to use them in my other helmet.
How noisy is it on speeds over 120kmph
@@drchandu10ch it's an adventure helmet... It's noisy
At £260 compared to Klims £660. I'm all in for it.
I would agree that the price is something to consider.
It's a better helmet then the klim
@@jarrod1687 thanks Jarod
Damn - it's more expensive than I was hoping.

How’s the helmet wearing glasses?
No issue. I wear glasses 👍🏻. Thanks for the comment

HPFC - high performance fibre composite. They do make a carbon one too.

Good, but not the best helmet
Loud and the chin curtain wears out qiuck....(have mine for 9000km )
I have had it since May 2022. Not much wear on it however if I was using it as a daily i would probably see a change.
Pity the foggy face mask doesn't fit it and the foggy x is no longer available , the only downside it your breath fogging up your glasses.
Yup. I have that issue. The defog piece is in the kit but I've never used one.
Hardly the best! After three years of use the sun shade mechanism broke down. And it has ben used sparsely as I mostly use goggles. Crappy mechanism!
@@Robbilebobb 3 years is pretty good. Although you said hardly used. What is hardly used to you? I only ask as others have a different ratio. The only time I had an issue is when I used the sun visor it loosened the bolt for the main visor. Had to screw it back into place. Hasn't happened since.
