When taveling in my RV's, I used to fry up a couple pounds of bacon pieces before leaving home and store them in a plastic container. I hated getting the RV full of frying grease smells and the mess. I could just fry the eggs with the flavory bacon grease and bits. Pre -dicing such things as onions and green peppers also saved much time and mess in the RV.

The Sandhill Crane migration at the Wilcox Playa was the most magical thing I’ve ever seen. We were there in Feb. as I remember a year past.

They had a live band on the patio when I was there. The place rocked and was packed. Everyone cleared out by 10 closing time. It was a wonderful event. I am glad you are doing these travel AZ videos. Gives me more ideas! Thanks.

In watching your video on comparing Class B's 11 months ago you are the reason we purchased our 2023 Coachman Nova 20C. We were looking at the Thor but with all the issues you were having we decided at the last minute to go with a Coachman.

We ourselves have only had the pleasure of three stays on harvest host sites, one was very basic and a bit of a let down. The second was above average and our lat one was even better, but I must admit this one seems even better. See the bathroom issue is solved w/Hillary holding her breath and I don’t know umm an air freshener 😅. For us though we care a five sided gazelle easy up tent which during our day is a sun escape and bug escape and if needed the privacy panels install in less than 1min and now you have a large private restroom 😉
On a last tidbit for you guys, look into beddys all in one bedding sheets. Your bed is so easy to make after each night and its so comfy, so yeah if your covers come apart nightly as you all sleep and continuously making it twice a day to keep it looking good while not in use take a look at them…

BTW, regarding the bathroom aroma, have you considered upfitting Mr. Lemon with a small vent fan? The VENTLINE/DEX VP543 6" 12V Powered Round Vent on Amazon is what WBGO puts in it Travato bathrooms and it works quite well. No idea what's involved in drilling a hole through an interior and exterior wall without running into electricity or plumbing (or, conversely, finding electricity to tie into), but maybe Bob's up for it.

@@Vancaskeys Don't know if you see replies to your replies, but the thing that makes that one attractive over a generic bathroom vent is that you don't have to wire in a switch somewhere on the wall wall. If you look at the picture of that vent, you'll see a little red button, and that's the power button. So you can just activate it directly from the vent. Works quite well. I used the one in the Travato all the time but now that we have a Pocket, we don't have a bathroom. However, if we jump up to a midsize Solis P with a bathroom similar to yours, I would want to put one of those in. It's one of the things they stripped out when they created the Solis line which is a budget line.
Another thing I looked for, but I can't find any evidence that they exist would be a solar powered fan with a small onboard battery for nighttime use. We have them in the solar tubes in our house and there's enough juice in them to act like a nightlight. If you had a solar powered vent, you wouldn't have to worry about tapping into the van's wiring, which seems scary to me. So if you ever see the existence of a solar vent w/ battery, please let me know!

I wouldn’t think of Southern Arizona as wine country, looks like a fun destination. We have one winery in Las Vegas, two in Pahrump but they use mostly California grapes.

Happy Birthday yesterday, Hilary! Is your son in the US military in Japan, a student or teaching English? What an adventure for him! Nice looking HH but only mid-May and already 100+? Ugg…I am such a weeny when it comes to heat. Can you use your air conditioner off grid? I’m still trying decide what “right now” I’d like to gave and can afford.
Thank you! Our youngest son (21 years old) is there for a month with his friend. His friend just graduated college and this is how they wanted to celebrate that huge milestone. The cool thing is they are live steaming some of it so we get to experience it with them. We soil use of a/c but if would kill our battery pretty fast.
Good, bad, or ugly. We are process buying very similar van to yours. We have been looking 2 years we joined face book to see complaints. Expect hiccups. We are awaiting inspection We understand earthquake on wheels. It’s retirement on wheels expectations Now or never. Excited to explore the US
