    Helpful cheers.
    Did mine to stop a leak on my 2009 face lift touran.
    It was that middle foot with its rubbish foam gasket that was the problem. Typical bad vw waterproofing.
    I've chosen to replace the foam with some I cut from 2 layers of bike inner tube. Also sealed with some home roof sealent on all feet.
    I couldn't seem to get the sun visors right off but it didn't matter.
    Reassembly was awkward but OK.
    Need to dry carpet out now :/

      Where was the leak coming into the car? I've got wet around the front door seal and looks like it's coming inside from there (damp in passenger footwell). Not sure how it's reaching there and wondered if it's somehow coming in high and making its way there. Can't see how to get the trim off that runs the length of the door next to the seal (on the car body, not the door).

    Thankyou so much.This is the only video in youtube that helps me with Touran roofrails, do you also needed to remove the headliner?or just the pillars?

      No you don't need to remove the roofliner 👍

      Where do you purchase the rubberseals for this roof rail?
      Wonder if it is same as those for a Sharan.

    Hi mate, thanks so much for showing this, I need to have a go at this, I think one of my roof bar slots is leaking as my roof lining gets soaked when it rains, do these have like rubber washers or something on them?

    • @ModelsInTheAttic
      @ModelsInTheAttic  5 лет назад +2

      Yes there is rubber washers on the roof bars that is why I removed mine as well plus I think they look good off

      @@ModelsInTheAttic thanks for your reply, and yes I do agree with you, but I really dont think this is something I could do, just need to replace the washers lol

      Yea even to replace the washers you will still need to drop the headliner down as the nuts will need held from the bottom

    How long did the job take pal. I'm a novice at all this. Is there anything (wires/airbags mainly) that can be messed up

    • @ModelsInTheAttic
      @ModelsInTheAttic  6 лет назад +2

      All together took me roughly 2 hours but I took my time to make sure I didn't mess anything up. No you don't need to disconnect any aitlrbags ect
