Love your tower block archives!
Agreed!
Same here!
Me too!
Ooh more tower block videos with nice old lifts. Sweet.
I know, fun right? But sadly, these lifts were modded by the alliance. This was a nice tower block archive, but the lift company came and ruined the magic.
2:20 Nice to see they have been thoughtful enough to provide plenty of suicide windows
0:10 But that call button looks old! Unless it's just how the camera picked it up.
6:25 you should look into the Wireless carrier rooms, interesting fiber equipment lives there usually
It is very rare to be able to get into one. I have once found one unlocked when it was being replaced. I occasionally find them when it is a regular room in the service area. Sometimes these rooms have RF cables that are not shielded and are dangerous to enter.

Ah, I see :P
I remember seeing an old Express lift ages ago in Park House Hotel in Blackpool, but sadly now said lift seems to have been replaced in the hotel ☹
That mod seems expensive compared to the price of a new 6 person capacity 1 m/s basic Gen2 that has to serve 4 floors in a building project that I’m involved with as a structural engineer. Granted, it’s a glorified homelift that requires are minimal pit depth of 380mm but it is fully automatic with normal logic so it works as a normal lift. It is a model that can run on a 240V supply. That second motor room looks messy. It’s like they’ve got a bunch of network switches laying on the floor with a lot of messy wiring tied together.
Gravesend might be a chav town nowadays, but there have been at least 2 other significant people here apart from Pocahontas. The engineer Albert William Dumbrill was born here in 1879, and became the manager of a very successful bakery equipment business. Dumbrill dough mixers were once popular in British bakeries, and a few survive as clay mixers in potteries. In 1952, a tattooist opened his first shop here, having served in the Navy. He moved to Tilbury, then Wickford, and produced quality tattoos for 60 years or more. His name... Harry Potter.
Great Kone buttons!
Maybe the panel in the first block, with the "slide to reset alarm" slider is an alarm of some kind, maybe it was for the lift alarms?
sometimes lifts with rear doors need a longer (front to back) hoistway.
Could u explore the maunsell forts with ur boat?
I wanted to last year, but I didn't feel confident enough. This year I will visit them, either in my boat or a friends boat. Expect to see a lot of boat urbex on my channel in summer.
Have you ever stayed the night in the machine room I've been living in one for about 3 months now
wtf

That first mod was simply an absolute insult. An Otis subsidiary modernised 2000s Otis equipment and ripped them off on labour costs. Why would Otis do that to their own stuff? I also find that claim about the Otis logic being obsolete also a joke, since ELA is an Otis subsidiary, so should have easy access to this 2000s PCB.
Wow!
Blocked and loaded!
The otis lift looked interesting. It looked grottier.
Do you know what's good about this video...
E V E R Y T H I N G . . .
Can we give 'em likes can we do it?
I would have really liked to see those lifts original but they looked ok after the OTIS mod, that indicator on the inside was especially interesting. They now just look totally boring with crappy lester controls.
Look like the rough ones by Northfleet
Well I never been this early...
Androids footage is best!!
@@NCHLT I just looks like
@@NCHLT the autofokus is pulling and the flash in darker areas. Indeed it looks like a phone video
He has told us a couple of times that he has an Android phone.
hey austin this is guys
AHA! Gotcha you and our guys caught you in 2 minutes...
hey austin this is Otis lifts
so OTIS took over the evil owls lift company called express lift allience?
Just looking at the state of the first one I can tell how much it smells of piss
