A lot of the buildings in your towerblock archives have such a “Touch of Frost” feel to it. A lot of these estates are populair backdrops for detective series. Pretty much every episode of inspector Frost features 1960’s flats......
When you were in the Bennie motor room you mentioned “dc post ac” several times. What does that mean? I’ve heard you use that phrase in other videos and have always wondered what it means.
DC pulsed AC is where a direct fed AC motor is pulsed as if it was a DC motor. Pulsing is where a motor is turned off and on very fast to create a lower average voltage. Transistors are used to pulse the motor. This is many times better than simply using a resistor to lower the voltage due to the large amounts of power used, power dissipated at the point of resistance, using resistors on large machinery wastes electricity. The transistor is either on or off, it is never half way, so it is not the point of resistance. DC pulsed AC means the motor is being turned on and off which is not ideal for an AC motor as the method is designed for a DC motor. DC pulsed AC if the forerunner of AC PWM where transistors are used to pulse out artificial sine waves, which is how modern VF drives work.
Beno Lifts thanks for the reply. Part of my problem was misunderstanding your words in the video. But now that you’ve clarified, it makes much more sense. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the good work.

Touch of Frost filmed in Wakefield
My friends used to live on this estate, back in the day......good times
Yay original Bennie Lifts!
Awesome video
I love your video's. Like
what keys do you use
I’m not talking about the Bennie lift
How do u manged to get in all of thises flats
I wonder what those PAC readers in the lift actually grant access to?
Let’s prove that the lift is a Bennie lift

Because at kings cross the flat only had a generic lift that lift is crap
How come you talk so fast in the narrating parts?
I felt that I was talking slowly
Beno Lifts you do talk very fast but I can understand you perfectly ! :) love your content
