Pretty darn good for "not carpenters"...the fact that you came together as a family, setting these houses up for family, is really all that matters. God bless you
My brother has to clean out around 100 or so shooting houses where he works and the best method he has found is to make sure the doors and windows are closed as much as they can be and then wait for a good chilly morning where wasps won't be active. Open the door and set a fogger inside the house on something sturdy where it won't fall over. Lock the trigger down and close the door back. Usually within 30 minutes or so, close to 100% of the insects in there will be dead and you can sweep them out without fighting them with a can of spray. So much easier this way. We use Bonide Household Room foggers. They come in a 3 pack usually and have a purplish color on the can.
@@PanolaProductions thanks, will try the fogger. Closing the windows from the inside might prove problematic. They should be already closed but you know how that goes!
Sandy Barnett 😂 I understand! We try to leave ours closed after the season. The main reason you want the house sealed up well is for the fogger to work better and for wasps to not have as long to escape. But if you do it on a cool morning, it shouldn’t be as big of an issue. Good luck!
