For advanced android phones like the Samsung galaxy S series, you can try long pressing the photo button beside the mic button. Seems they've moved the feature to that button
You saved my life, I updated my xiaomi phone with Hyper OS and this feature disappeared even in the settings. Thanks to you I realise that its with the photo button now
Hey guys, Time for a new update. Now you can send instant video message by holding few seconds the camera 📸 button, it's no longer switch from 🎤 microphone button. This updates sucks, took me couple days to find out, since it's not more in the settings. Cheers 🥂
Yes for real and also it did work at some point, I remember being able to use this functions and now it’s almost like they completely removed the feature
@@Ace-zu2stso i had the same problem as yours. Now there is a new option in settings -> chats you can find the section instant video messages. It was turned off for me 😊
Hey guys, go in your settings, my option has been deactivated in chat options you have to activate the switch manually

Just hold the camera icon, it will start recording the video chat, you may need to update the whatsapp
