Tarja's voice brought me into reading fantasy and legends when I was a kid, basically I would've been different person if my Dad didn't buy me a cd with songs from oceanborn and some others like Elvenpath
The odyssey; it's a reference to the sirens odysseus must sail around. He tied himself to the wheel of the boat because he needed his hearing to watch out for a trap that can doom his men, but the sirens also existed on the other side of the strait to lure men in. So his men not needing to hear, stuffed their ears with bees wax to block out the noise. What I said is not 100% accurate, but it is something to that tune.

Tarja,Marco and Floor are all amazing, often people say that Tarja can sing only opera but its sooo stupid :D I have studied singing and solfege and I can say that if you can sing opera...then you can sing EVERYTHING its just that Tarja chose not to sing in other styles because Tuomas wrote these songs especially for her classical style of singing and it worked out! and how it worked out...Tarja made Nightwish sooo famous because at that time classical style of singing was something very new. for metal bands..she made Nightwishs sound special... Floor saved it, her Ghost Love Score is totally another level ( it was her favorite song as well and she freestyled in the end) but other famous songs for example "Nemo",,"Sleeping sun""Walking on the air" "I wish I had an angel" and "Panthom of the opera"belong to Tarja ,, her opera style of singing makes those songs sooo special and my god they were amazing together, saw Marco and Tarja on stage together couple of years ago and crowd was in tears...Tarja and Marco together are perfect! They duets are always amazing , now that Marco is gone from the band as well...it makes me sooo sad, I hope that we see them dueting in the future as well and actually Nightwish was supposed to be acoustic band but when they heard Tarjas amazing and strong voice then they decided to do metal music, to support her powerful voice...thats why I think many people were upset that they replaced Tarja with someone like Anette who clearly cant sing Tarjas older songs ...lets be honest now...really Anette had too little vocal range and she didnt have the power in her voice that Floor and Tarja have...she also didnt fit with the band, and her live performances are not comperable with Floor or Tarjas Live performances
