Yes think your right,I’m not a drifter but believe they put as much castor as possible, that makes steering want to spin back to centre nice and fast so helps with transition from lock to lock, plus 2or 3 degrees camber helps, loving watching your builds and your progress driving 👍👍
A little taller rear tire will give you some more bite and also mellow that power a little but yes the front could use more adjustment. You 2 did a really good try and you were actually getting better at the end staying in the turns.
From this drift-uneducated guy, that second day seemed a massive improvement! Keep up the great work guys, and we wish you a Happy Christmas from all the petrol heads here in Ireland!
Its absolutely worth getting lessons from a pro. I paid for a double Mercedes experience day at the Mercedes museum near Chobham on the M25. Did 4 hours and my teacher was a young lady about your age. But man could she drive !. I can now drift a C63S pretty much forever around a track.
Well guys you know what that say "work hard and play hard" and it looks like you played hard and had a lot of fun doing it. Learning to drift is much harder than people think well done cya soon. Truck is nearly ready :)
I love the Volvo build, it is good to see something different out there. Drifting is one of those things which is harder than it looks, you were making really good progress and you improved massively towards the end!
Well , plenty power indeed . You definitely stood out amongst the E36 and E46´s . I didn´t expect the Volvo to have any engine problems but I was expecting to see some overheating BMW´s . You might be right about adjusting the camber but I guess you need to modify the shock to get as much as you want but overall , for the first time out , it looked pretty solid . Enjoy the fruits of your labour .
That was fantastic! You have achieved so much so quickly. Inexperience at the sport and an untested car are two huge hurdles - but you are obviously making great strides with both. Well done indeed. I hope we will get to see plenty more video footage as you progress.
That just looked stupid fun! I suddenly have the urge to go drifting! Well done for a "first" take. A little trial and error with fittings and soon you'll be giving Ken Block a run for his money, haha. Keep it up!
Have been drifting a while and while I’m no expert have drifted a Volvo before the lock on the them is terrible, really easy to run out of lock making you spin so you did a great job especially for your first times 👏
That drift track surface looks too grippy and concrete have you played around with tyre pressure and tyres yet ? .you'd be better going round roundabouts an industrial estate .Great progress .watch a few noriyaro you tube videos for some drift track action
Did You measure ackerman angle after making steering adapter? It looks like front wheels are braking You in drift. Nice movie, nice volvo. Great fab skills by Beth.
You tried poly bushes on the axle? I have strong flex ones, so much less flapping. I drive a welded diff 740 daily and have no real issues apart from the exhaust falling off every now and again.
Great vids. Speak to retroturbo. They make and do all the mods needed. U can look at there stuff and prob make your own. Good info on there for u? Drifting is awsome.
It looks so nice with white rollcage in a red car, and in far better condition than the other cars there! Have you shoved the making of those wheels? If so must have missed that one. From what car?
There is better springs and shocks dwveloped for thoose cars in the budget racing and rally series in sweden. Volvo Original Cup VOC.. With thoose Ive outrunned M3s on curvy bumpy roads.. And almost all 2wd cars on the icecurcuits gets beaten by the volvos..
Hi, if you ever need some spare parts that are hard to find i the UK, just msg me i live in sweden and would be willing to help you guys out with finding parts in sweden for your volvo and then ship them to you. i got to support fellow brick drifter ;)
Excellent! you could tell Dad's mechanical sympathy kicking in from too many years fixing cars then it was give-it-the-beans-Beth's turn, no mercy!!
👌Without a doubt, your car was the most beautiful. 👍👍👍
Looked fun. Volvo looked great.
Emily Shields will be jealous! Well done for the performance and making Volvos 👍🏼 great.
Good job, the first drift days and you see the progression.
Looks like you had fun, the Volvo did you pretty proud by the look of it!
Looks like you were both having a lot of fun out there and getting the car dialled in is half the fun.👍
Great job. Something nice about a volvo sitting sideways. The random smiles during the video tells me you both enjoyed it as much as us 👍
That looks a massive amount of fun!
That is a really nice 940! Love the stock look and steelies!
Well done both, great achievement, it looked like a proper giggle too 👍
That was getting round there well it was good to see a different car out there. Well done 👍

Great little sessions, practice makes perfect! Stay safe and keep wrenching 🤙
awesome fun! tx for sharing :D

It was so cool to see both of you gain huge improvements in balance over the sessions. That looked like a lot of fun!

So excited to get my hands on a Volvo 240 and do almost exactly what you guys have done! Once I find one... Heck yeah turbo bricks

Inspirational, love it.

It is harder than it looks Nige
That was awesome!!!

Awesome to watch, you could see how it clicked for both of ya on the second day, more to the point though, heavy car to drift, both done good 👍
Nice progress! Maybe consider something to visually differentiate who is driving?...
Yes editing this vid was fun

I really enjoy your videos, great effort; keep it up.
This made me mega happy also, what a team:)
A good Chanel for information and drifting parts is FDR race shop.
Nice one, dont forget rear toe :)

It wasn't too bad but we found harder pressures worked better
Some pretty nice drifts in there. Can see the improvement as u go on. What track is that btw?
Did You measure ackerman angle after making steering adapter? It looks like front wheels are braking You in drift. Nice movie, nice volvo. Great fab skills by Beth.
We measured the ackerman on our turn plates and its about zero in 10 degrees of turn which is pretty much what the bmw's run at with drift suspension
You tried poly bushes on the axle?
I have strong flex ones, so much less flapping. I drive a welded diff 740 daily and have no real issues apart from the exhaust falling off every now and again.
We might poly Bush the suspension 🤔

Who won?
😍🙄👍😳
What event was this ? At what track? Thanks
Adrian flux arena in Norfolk

Don’t you when you are drifting you just feather the throttle round the bends ..?
Just keep the revs up to keep the wheels spinning and steer on the throttle
