Strange decision. She had him in a dominant position the entire time, with several attempts at kimura submissions. I'd love to hear the refs justification for the decision...
She had the boy in her closed guard the entire time. If you knew anything about bjj, you'd know that the boy was in an inferior position the entire match. She just couldn't finish. But he made no serious attempts at sweeps or escapes. The final decision was... weird.
Why does nobody teach that to break a body scissors hold, you pry the knees down to gain leverage even if you're opponent grabs your head towards them, it still will work, because once you push their knees down your body will slide out from your opponent's legs, thus giving you the chance to make your counter attack. Like I don't get it, your only helping your opponent by going for their arms if they have your torso in a scissor hold. It's so easy to pry their knees downwards, but you have to be quick and especially to avoid them trapping your arms along with your torso, if that happens then your screwed
Hahaha. Yeah, that doesn't always work. If you try to push my daughter's (age 9) knees down to get out of her closed guard (it's not called "body scissors hold", btw), she will sweep you and get front mount in a second. She's done it to numerous opponents. Also, her legs are crazy strong making it anything BUT "so easy to pry their knees downwards". In fact, it's damn near impossible.
@evrose maybe near impossible, but that's the beauty of bjj, there's a counter for every hold/lock. I've been in leg holds around my neck&waist, yeah like you say your daughter will instantly sweep and try to trap again, I've been in that scenario lol, but I never find it difficult to pry out. Pushing or pulling the knees/lower thighs. Now if I'm in a Kimura of any kind its tough to get out, I usually tap always, they are very painful. But if my arms are free, and it's my head or waist, I can get out. May not be totally Scott free, but the escape from the legs can be done. Anyone can do it, it just takes effort.
Nice position.We are all like❤️❤️❤️❤️
This goes to show you that you can be trapped in someone's impassable guard for the entire match and still win 👍👊
Won by decision he didn't really beat her so depends on what rules they follow, some tournaments would call it a tie.
Some tournaments if no submission in regular time, then first take down wins unless submitted by opponent in overtime.
GOOODDD 😍🤩😍😘
