even a walk across the Neiborhood helps with mental health, being isolated and no-sun 24/7 is really dangerous for mental health. Stay safe girl

You're vids are always so relatable! Getting hit with random waves of sadness sucks but channeling that energy into something creative lets us cope better with feelings we cant do anything else with. Being in northern Canada it usually hits me Mid January and doesnt let up till March, but this year ive noticed how early the sun set for some reason more.

Great sketch Alisa. I’ve dealt with depression/ anxiety a long time and I found a Light tharapy screen-lamp on Amazon last year. I use it sometimes when drawing, I set it to the side and it helps a little on the really bad days.

How to combat seasonal depression (SD):
Plan A: Watch (or listen to) Alisa's videos.
Plan B: There are lamps that allow you to adjust brightness and color temperature that can help you overcome SD, the downside being a slightly higher electric bill.
Also, doctors have recommended vitamin D3. Talk to your doctor first to ensure you take the correct dosage.

Wow. I'm also recently eating Vitamins D, double dosage. Art is your release your expression. It can alot of senses. Listen to songs, I literally listened hip-hop to classical to pop to Chinese pop to hymns ... I create my own music and silly songs 😂😂. Guess what, yesterday I got my drawing mood again. Then I saw Jisoo shorts, I copy her idea LoL. In my heart, I wanted to keep drawing mecha robots, ninja. Now, I'm trying to get an immersive movie watching on my 32" TCL TV. My cheap SGD 200+ wewatch projector, just watch abit of The Avengers Endgame my favourite, projected about 80". Trying to figure out why I can't get inside of my small TV into my head. Seasonal depression is common, especially me.

The winter season can offer opportunities to connect with the inner-world and and its highest stream of infos.
You have untapped power and energy levels to overcome this winter effects and you should also realize part of your psyche could be drain by element in your environment
(many unconscious factors that need to be revealed, some are artificially generated constantly like the EM fields of cellphone towers),
If you choose to reclaim your health life can bring you some clues on how to get there step by step.
For me music, arts and comedy and good food helped me a lot but I need to be very picky on my selection because we have saturation of depressing and harmful stuff on the web.
The pitch black of the nights bring some level of peace from the uber stimulations of the outside world, if you walk in forests or near rivers when the sun is down notice how calming the night feels but if you get scared in that moment identify what triggers bring the fears.

Heres what I do, about depression which seems to help a lot:
Take 0.25grams of melatoning when I want to go to sleep. I don't naturally get that Sleepy feeling until I've been awake to a point where im completely exhausted without it.
Force myself to go out and do something slightly out of my comfort zone every week just once. Since im pretty anti social that mostly means going out and visiting new places and talking to people.
Reading a book on cognitive theory called "feeling good the new mood therapy" helps with intrusive negative thoughts.
And working out regularly, even if its just a little bit when I really don't feel like it.
I think most of what helps with depression is just getting the feeling that you are at least trying to combat whatever you feel is bad in your life.
