last episode: "I hate having to climb this mountain for the fourth time -I already know it inside and out" this episode: "I dont remember this place too terribly well..." .... w-who are you and what have you done to chugga in between episodes?!
I think what he means is that while he knows the route up and down the mountain like the back of his hand, he has trouble remembering THIS version of it (all the walls and watchtowers and forced stealth make the layout much different)
If the changes to the area are big enough that he's not familiar with this version of it, doesn't that kind of weaken the criticism about having to climb the exact same mountain for the 4th time?
Last time I checked, getting the Big Net is entirely optional. I haven't done it myself, but I'm almost positive that you can play the entire game without getting the Bug Net.
I always wondered what Fi would be thinking if she was separated from Link in a situation like this. One of the few things I enjoy about this sequence in the game. Brings in those "what if" moments.
Blazing Fire *sigh* In BoTW, the Master Sword, which houses our favorite little blue robot, has been sleeping for 100 years, thereby seperated from Link.
I happen to like Eldin...He's got a certain regal air about him, but he's still a nice guy underneath all that, and certainly more personable as a dragon than Faron... ...Plus, he tells cool stories, should you choose to revisit him later.
I personally really like the third revisit to Eldin Volcano. I like when games take away all the items you've acquired such that you have to get them back in a different order, which then has you using everything you've gotten on your journey to get through it all. I wish more games had something like it. Then couple it with the atmosphere of the volcano and the fact that it reminded me so much of Wind Walter when I first played this; so awesome! Although, I wish the Fire Dragon was met prior to all this.
They took everything but the harp and sailcloth... why wouldn't they take those!? EDIT: seems like they didn't take the earrings either... and I have no way of knowing if they took the Dragon Scale...
Mushroom Kingdom Puffle If I remember correctly, the harp doesn't appear on the status screen either. Which is very inconsistent with what items you actually keep.
Considering the harp is sacred, I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't touch it, as for the cloth and earrings, they didn't take anything that couldn't help Link escape, they don't care about the items, just keeping their prisoner from escaping.
I can just imagine Link using his Sailcloth to go up to Skyloft, get his old Iron Shield, the Training Sword, his leftover small bomb bags, slingshot bags (he could just throw them, and they have other uses), and quivers (again, many ways to use them, like throwing them), and then storming the mountain yelling "IMPROVISE! *ADAPT!! **_OVERCOME!!!"_*
I really enjoyed this part of the game. It was a well made stealth mission that put a lot of your acquired items to good use. It played out like an interesting twist on a typical puzzled based mini-dungeon, but with multiple items incorporated into it instead of just a couple. The environment was so different this time around that technically being the same area matters very little if you ask me. Apparently you think so too, since you said you don't remember the details of this part very well.
Eldin is my favorite dragon since he himself is the one who give me the least shit of the 3, and yes, his actions caused us grief but it wasnt intentional and he also apologized
Personally, I've always been a fan of these types of stealth missions. At least a stripping of your equipment section because I just love feeling that "Oh shit, I really was awesome!" And testing my skill as I get the items I depended on. Plus, I remember how much I appreciated Fi's company afterwards. When you're tossed into a cell and your only partner through the journey is just gone, makes you feel a bit lonely. So yes, I love this part of the game. It was the third revisit that made me get angry.
I love how all of Link's items are in chests, but only the Master Sword is out in the open because the enemies can't touch it. Great attention to detail.
I remember in the earlier videos of this Lets Play series, Chugga was sticking up for Skyward Sword like a true fan, only had a couple issues he didn't like about the game. But now it's like "I hate this, I hate that. And also that!" Having to progress the Eldin Volcano for a 4th time really changes a person XD
I think Emile's statement in this episode pretty much sums up the other main complaint people have with Skyward Sword: "You don't have to put much thought into it". Honestly, I think I kind of agree with this.
As usual, one of us has to put "No views, blah blah blah comments. Go home RUclips, you're drunk. Or alcohol is bad for you..." There I said it. Now watch the video and stop looking at the comments. Chugga worked hard making this vid. >~
You know what confuses me? The Master Sword in most Zelda entities usually is considered the most powerful artifact in the realm of Hyrule (besides the Triforce, of course), and no evil creature can even so much as wield it, let alone steal it from the legendary hero. Yet, for this segment, with how the sword seemingly escapes from his grasp, as it were just some parchment stolen by the winds. #nintendologic
I love how the music in Breath of the Wild draws on a handful of older titles. I just realized the Dragon theme in BOTW is a remix of the Dragon theme (or at least Eldin's theme).
i will say that it would have been nice if this dragon had had a chance to be more developed as a character. him giving you a mission to do for him would have been better than a scavenger hunt ex machina, even if his mission for you was to perform a task without your items
"No creative ways to deal with the guards" Using the Slingshot to stun them. Yes, that can be done to some regular enemies, but as you said earlier, the sword can typically deal with just about anything, making items obsolete. Since you're stripped of your equipment and forced to get it back, with the sword being last, you're forced to use your formerly useless items, which may result in you finding more use for them. For example, if you didn't already know about the Slingshot's useful stun, you'd find it out here, and you might be more inclined to use it later in the game or in the 2nd playthrough. You might even be more inclined to experiment more with the other items and find out useful stuff about them after this section where you have no choice but to use them. This is the type of level that makes you value your gear, with the sword being more or less all-powerful, resulting in you being all but defenseless without it, and your other items being extremely useful in certain situations, but are ignored due to the versatility and ease of use the sword has.
Anyone else actually LIKE the music and stealth sequence here? I feel like I'm the only one.... I know some others like it, but this is interesting and different. It looks pretty hot, too. You're not alone. In fact, I actually like the Faron section, though that part is mildly annoying. And Lanayru is Lanayru, the region that never lets you down.

*Water Dragon:* Makes you get healing water and collect a, bunch of fish that were intentionally scattered in order to prove you are the chosen hero *Lava Dragon:* Oi m8 that's a nice symbol you got there here is the song
Bruddahs and sisters it is once again time to pray in thanks for the wonderful bounty of entertainment our pun lord and savior chuggaconroy has provided for us today Sorry I'm late I was busy being angry at the fact that peta once kidnaped a mans chiwawa and then murdered it and apologized with a fruit basket purely because they were court ordered to do so
I still don't think you're being entirely fair on this portion of the game. Yes it's predetermined and yes it's the same area, but the way you are traversing it is completely different from your previous visits. You are not just climbing straight up the volcano like you did before.
Water dragon: I still don't believe you're the hero so I'm gonna make you gather the song. Fire dragon: You have that thing on you hand so I'll just give you the song. He may just be a re-colour but he's not like "do this and you can have it" unlike a certain dragon
It still REALLY bothers me that Emile's let's play, a let's play that's supposed to make people like Skyward Sword, is SUPER negative on the BEST parts of the game! You've got a collection quest at a cool looking flooded forest and a stealth segment where you have to reclaim your items and use them to get your other items back. They're such cool, unique parts of the game and I hate to see them hated on so much. Also, what's up with all of the complaints about the stealth segment and the rest of this game being linear. First of all, aren't pretty much all stealth segments in games linear? Also, I really like the linear nature of the game. It makes for better story-telling, which is the best part of the Zelda franchise. If you make the game too open, you end up with a game like Breath of the Wild, where there's very little story-telling and you spend most of your time doing boring stuff like wandering around. Long story short, Emile's negativity on these recent episodes is almost as bad as when his said that at one point he disliked the greatest moment in Mario history, the heartwarming ending of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.
Terminian Hero Just because you like this section doesn't make it objectively good. You can like something and still point out things that you think are bad about it.
I am with you, I thought he was going to get people to reconsider people's opinion of this game, but I think this let's play has been very negative, I liked Impa, he rants about Impa, I liked the gust bellows, he rants about the gust bellows, I liked this stealth section, he says it's a bad stealth section, I really feel he could a least try to sound more positive also I have commented this on other videos, the redundant explanation counter adds extra negativity to every episode, are you even trying to get people to like this game?
Having a balanced opinion about something does not equal disliking it. He's been singing praises for this game in a lot of other areas and counteracting some of the more common criticisms about this game pretty much the rest of the time. This section is just kind of pointless and the majority agree for a reason.
While I remember enjoying this part when I played it (something about getting my revenge on the bokoblins after all the nonsense they'd put me through really appealed to me) I must say I agree completely with you on the fire dragon. I actually completely forgot what he was even like and...yeah. He's pretty forgettable. Such a shame since they really could've done something unique but oh well.
Bifflin i managed to get one abt a month later, and even then i was really fuckin lucky bc it was only one of five they got shipped in, its ridiculous hiw bad nintendo is at making their systems available
I didn't even attempt to get one, imo not worth it currently. Only game I find worth right now is BOTW, which I have on Wii U. I'm waiting till other games like arms, splatoon 2, super Mario odyssey, and pikmin 4 come out.
Dear God, Emile... It's not often that you have a negative outlook on something during your Let's Plays, but when you do, I feel like you go WAY overboard. I honestly feel like this entire video was you complaining about the exact same two things over and over again, and almost word for word to boot, plus a few snarky remarks thrown into the mix to keep everything fluid. ("Thank you for putting me out of my misery") Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on you. But considering how you always try to keep a balanced opinion on things to please most viewers, I'm honestly pretty shocked at just how much you felt the need to criticize these two dragon hunts for a combined total of *_over an HOUR._* I don't know about others, but for me, it made watching these two videos a rather... uncomfortable experience. And I hate saying that, because you're up there in my list of favorite RUclipsrs...
Agreed, honestly. Even if he hates these parts of the game he could have brought up positive points like, for example, how pretty the lighting was during that whole stealth sequence (it's the first time we sort of see night on the surface, too).
ShycoWar We all have our limits. And Emile is just a human. He's bound to have some games even HE just can't pretend to like, or at the very least, parts of it he can't pretend to enjoy.
That wasn't my point at all. He indeed has every right in the world to not like these sections of the game. What I found bothersome was the extent of that dislike he decided to show us. I just think it was too much, and that his reasons should only have been explained at the beginning, and not throughout the entire length of _three_ videos.
Eh. I find it refreshing to see his honest side. I personally find Skyward Sword WAY worse than things like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and I just dislike it. As a result, I find it great that Chugga is not praising this game 24/7. Especially with horrible shoehorned levels like the stealth and water levels. Also, he brings up the backtracking and how it was here where it got on Chugga's nerves. For me, it was the 2nd time and especially the revisit to the 1st temple that solidified my hate of this game's backtracking.
ShycoWar I agree, he was unusually cruel to the segment. I mean, I know it's not the best part of the game, but I think it has its merits. I've always loved this style of level (maybe that's why I love Event Tide Island in BoW) and I was shocked Chugga was so rash considering how he defends all of the actually bad things with the game. One of his points was that it made you think it was open ended when it's really just linear and it makes you feel helpless. The entire game is linear like that but he doesn't mind and the helplessness is the point of the damn quest! To strip you of what you depended on and go at it with your head. Idk, if I had to say, this was the biggest disappointment I've ever received from Chugga and I don't like to say that.
Something that I noticed, it seems that Eldin is a lot more reasonable than Faron. He takes one look at Link, sees the Triforce and is like "oh shit, you're the Hero. Here, you need this more than me" and just gives you the song.
Faron and Eldin totally wear the same outfit as the Basara class from FE Fates. And now, you can never unsee it...hopefully. That outfit is awesome looking!
Meanwhile in an alternate timeline... Eldin: "Hmm... I don't think you're worthy enough to learn my part of the song, I think a test is in order! So here's what you must do, climb up the volcano a 5th time and collect Tadtones too!" Link and Emile: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
Water Dragon: Go do this task for me. THEN i'll do my job. Fire Dragon: oh Hey, an elf-min, Oh your the hero. I gotcha fam, here's my chunk of the melody.
He's not a retexture, Chugga! His long tendrils are a mustache, hers is hair, and he has fire on his head. Plus their faces are different, and their robes are different.
I wish either two things happened: Link was chocking the lives outta the bokoblins solid snake style without Fi or going to get Fi where you see her Hyrule Warrior-ing the place up with enemies and apologizing for being late on the rescue.
I LAVA this video! Emile I am enjoying this series so much! I have enough time to watch this, after then I get to watch something else, after I'm done, a new one is out! PERFECT!
last episode: "I hate having to climb this mountain for the fourth time -I already know it inside and out"
this episode: "I dont remember this place too terribly well..."

I think what he means is that while he knows the route up and down the mountain like the back of his hand, he has trouble remembering THIS version of it (all the walls and watchtowers and forced stealth make the layout much different)
Zorua, quit pretending to be Chugga.
You can't be Ash either.

So, the volcano erupted because he had to stroke his ego...and possibly something else. #Implying.
Are you saying the eruption was in fact and erection? And that that erection led to an ejaculation?
How long has he had to sit there waiting for Link to show up? He had to do something to pass the time.
I just thought it was explosive diarrhea
Talk about being "backed up".
Well he IS the dragon who is named after the god associated with the triforce of POWER.
Man! The Bug Net isn't in its own chest! I was so looking forward to "Look at this Net, that I just found."

You can if you can do without upgraded potions and don't plan to take on Beedle's side quest.

Bruddahs and sisters it is once again time to pray in thanks for the wonderful bounty of entertainment our pun lord and savior chuggaconroy has provided for us today
Sorry I'm late I was busy being angry at the fact that peta once kidnaped a mans chiwawa and then murdered it and apologized with a fruit basket purely because they were court ordered to do so
The Italian Goomba Good evening
The Italian Goomba it's actually spelled Chihuahua. It derives from a word from the language of the Aztecs. Idk what that word means though.
The Italian Goomba stop beating a dead horse, the joke has gotten stale. Get over it, your few episodes of fame are over.

Tj Ross wow.. this comment really had a... chain effect going on.
This is the earliest I've ever been... Thanks for all you do, Chuggaa!
I still don't think you're being entirely fair on this portion of the game. Yes it's predetermined and yes it's the same area, but the way you are traversing it is completely different from your previous visits. You are not just climbing straight up the volcano like you did before.
Jameson Jones still boring
I am with you, I thought he was going to get people to reconsider people's opinion of this game, but I think this let's play has been very negative, I liked Impa, he rants about Impa, I liked the gust bellows, he rants about the gust bellows, I liked this stealth section, he says it's a bad stealth section, I really feel he could a least try to sound more positive
also I have commented this on other videos, the redundant explanation counter adds extra negativity to every episode, are you even trying to get people to like this game?
Terminian Hero nah boi worst part of game by far
Having a balanced opinion about something does not equal disliking it. He's been singing praises for this game in a lot of other areas and counteracting some of the more common criticisms about this game pretty much the rest of the time. This section is just kind of pointless and the majority agree for a reason.
Bo Bunn exactly
While I remember enjoying this part when I played it (something about getting my revenge on the bokoblins after all the nonsense they'd put me through really appealed to me) I must say I agree completely with you on the fire dragon. I actually completely forgot what he was even like and...yeah. He's pretty forgettable. Such a shame since they really could've done something unique but oh well.

I find it weird how...unsettling the dragons look and sound when they sing, yet Link seems...relaxed listening to it somehow.
Who else doesn't have a switch but honestly couldn't care less at the moment?
It's literally been sold out since it was released. Nintendo sucks at keeping the shelves stocked.
So does this mean that I'm not the only one who thinks MK8 deluxe isn't worth it?
you get your sword, but you get fi. I guess it was kind of a
double-edged sword
Dear God, Emile... It's not often that you have a negative outlook on something during your Let's Plays, but when you do, I feel like you go WAY overboard. I honestly feel like this entire video was you complaining about the exact same two things over and over again, and almost word for word to boot, plus a few snarky remarks thrown into the mix to keep everything fluid. ("Thank you for putting me out of my misery")
Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on you.
I'm glad Dinraal doesn't look as hideous as Eldin. Dinraal is awesome. He doesn't mind being shot. In fact, he rewards you. Good on you, Dinraal!
This comment is now a meme.
Mah boi
Oh s***, it's dat boi!
THIS PEACE IS WHAT ALL TRUE WARRIORS STRIVE FOR!
So here's what you must do, climb up the volcano a 5th time and collect Tadtones too!"
Link and Emile: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
14:54 when you see your fifth unexpected child for the first time
More like RECLAIMING Stolen Steel, STEALING implies ownership. | 9:15 - Well...Link's f * * * * d.

Chuga:FEEL MY WRATH- OOH BOKOBLIN TOENAIL!
I can't WAIT for him to get to the dragon in Lanaryu Desert. I LOVE THAT GUY.
"Like idk push a rock onto the enemy from above" COUGH COUGH BREATH OF THE WILD STEALTH MISSION
That awkward moment when you come early, but you are behind so you have to go re-watch the last episode
"Hey everybody its Chuggaconroy! And welcome back to more, The Legend of Zelda: Metal Gear Solid!"
Bokkoblins just were like "SHE SO ANNOYING!!!" *slam* into the ground. they just couldn't bear her xD
2:22 chuggaa didn't like his gust bellows and decided a bokoblin head was better. Actually, it was better than the whip and clawshots too.
14:55 That moment when the coffee kicks in
"Hey let's go visit the fire dragon for once, it'll be fun!" Said no Skyward Sword player ever.
I LAVA this video!
Emile I am enjoying this series so much!
I have enough time to watch this, after then I get to watch something else, after I'm done, a new one is out!
PERFECT!
Link listening to the Song of the Hero looks like a guy who just peed in a public pool.
6:26 Emile's having a blast now that he has his bombs back
