Rest in peace, John. 66 is too young. And Kaya having just graduating HighSchool and this virus, its just a horrible time. My thoughts and sympathy are extended to Eva and Kaya at this horrible time.
The destruction of Edmund and Maria was the final straw for me and I stopped watching AMC permanently. I know the actors were divorcing but they left the show around the same time, fans desered to have them leave happily together. I also HATED aging Sam and Maddie 10 years over night, I loved the little kids who played them. But when soaps write crap that I find unacceptable, I reject the soap's crappy writing and write my own ending that I fully embrace.
I loved Maria and Edmund so much!! I remember watching this scene and being so happy that they finally found their way back to each other but then they had to go and kill him off!! :/
ok, when did wildwind go from being the ancestral home of dimitri and edmund to being the boarding house of alot of the young adults of PV to becoming the home of David Hayward?
@noworkinternational oh ok I didn't know that Eva and John were going through an ugly divorce in real life I still think that after Eva left to do CSI:Miami that they could've kept Edmund on the canvas...he was a terrific character...or they could've had him simply leave town--but to kill him off was so unnecessary
The best line from her rescuing Maddie: "Madeleine Flora Grey, you come to your mother right now!" (paraphrasing a little). THAT was more than enough to convince me Maria RETURNED and shed the heinous, shameful, hostile Maureen personality. Chalk that one up to an ugly Sybil misfortune.
@adheckle yeah Eva LaRue left to do CSI:Miami but that was still NO excuse for ruining Edmund and then needlessly killing him....it was completely ridiculous behavior for a wonderful character like Edmund who had been on-screen for years
This was around when I started watching - it was the ending to one of the very first episodes I watched. How long was Maria back as Maureen before she remembered Edmund and their life together? I just want an idea of how long fans were waiting for this scene. :)
