How about Laf is texting a group chat with Herc John and Alex, but all of them part from Laffy are dead (John and Alex got shot, Herc of pneumonia I think). And he's just talking about memories that they had, how regretted not being by there side while they died (hey that rhymed 😂) and stuff that will make us cry. I'm pretty sure Herc dies after Laf but I personally think it would be better if we saw it from Laf's point of view
I used braces for 2 years and I can't actually remember if it was that hard to talk. But I do know that, with the removable braces the dentist gives you to use at night, it isn't that hard to say the s's. Maybe a little, and it is a bit uncomfortable, but not that bad (This is my experience with braces and stuff, maybe it worked out differently for you than it did for me)
