I am glad someone else caught those issues as well. I can just see an elderly person or young kids tumbling down or over the side of the stairs since there is nothing to hold on to. Also Greece does get earthquakes, and with nothing to hold on to during one….oh well, sh-t happens!

How do people reach this house. If on foot then ok. If by car though, where do they park. Under the crazy hot sun of southern Greece, you definitely need a shaded parking garage or else your car will die very young !

In the case of earthquakes, being excavated into rocks makes it safer than a house on columns. There is little humidity since it is a coastal region that tends to be drier, with relatively low precipitation and sparse vegetation.
A concrete ceiling? very complex, by the looks though there is so much going on construction wise. They must have dug deep first and lay dirt overtop to blend it all in. Using nearby stones? makes it look so cool an ancient too but so modern. music is a bit loud.
This is what I would call an introvert home, I'm an introvert and would absolutely live here. Penthouses, townhomes, big houses built for entertaining are extrovert homes, they're nice but I wouldn't live in them. Give me a condo, on a low floor, or a small place that most people would consider claustrophobic, a cottage overlooking the ocean or a forest, the less people in my neighbourhood the better too. If I didn't have cats I'd consider living on a schooner or catamaran away from the land for weeks at a time.

Seems like a lot of money to spend only to end up with such a narrow view, like in a hotel room. Especially odd as it doesn't look like nearby neighbors are much of a problem. Other than its view, the interior of the guest bedroom gives me prison cell vibes - not that I've ever been in one! Just overall a very claustrophobic feel, I would have utilized some above ground space. But I live for a view and always want to maximize it, this owner probably values privacy much more.
