It's the Epliogue from Peer Gynt. It's used again later in the documentary and Schnittke speaks very eloquently about its meaning.

We recorded the BBC broadcast in 1990 on a VHS tape and digitalised it in 3 parts in 2013, but have now seen references to it having been directed by Donald Sturrock in 1983 - though he would have only been 22 at that time.
