I was going to correct the spelling of Louis Rossmann's name, but then decided it wasn't important. Then I saw your name, and had to tell you it made me smile. You're a legend.
Man it's great to see you again Paul. ! Last time if I remember you were giving two thumbs up through the window that used to be in the front of the shop Draw the short straw anytime It's a pleasure to watch you work and quietly explain your insights. Thank you !
"How much flux should I use?" Paul: Exactly what's needed to cover your immediate work area. Louis: What Paul said, but I count the entire board as my work area.
Yay, Paul! It's really enjoyable seeing how the other guys in the shop approach both the repair itself, and talking to the camera. And everyone hates using someone else's tools. Such a universal experience. Lol
Great one Paul. Suggest you tell the team to speak about NYC, Vehicles and right to repair in the first 30 seconds, that will get most of the people on a happy path. Then hit what you do so well. So, at the shop, instead of saying, “may the force be with you “, you people say “may the flux be with you”. My OCD is happy when I see this type of work, same with Louis.
I still can't believe, that the repair shop repairing MAC laptops is ran purely by people who HATE apple products. First Louis rambling about it, now his asistant.
So good seeing Paul S on camera at work again - but this time in the new shop. Makes things feel like a fairly even, calm, state of equilibrium after so much turbulence.
I think it’s not about having “too much flux” I think it’s about the same as “your either ON time or your NOT, no such thing as early” and KISS “Keep It Simple Stupid”. Well done btw! Thank you for the different perspective.
As someone that does PCB assembly for military grade equipment (Class 3) we are required to clean ALL flux residue off connectors and boards. Use enough flux to get the job done. The less flux used means less time spent cleaning the board.
Hey Paul! I'm glad that I finally got to see you on this when another video u always in the background, or just walking, or just simply mentioned by Louis
Here's what I don't understand. Nintendo makes handheld/portable devices that can withstand being on Mt. Everest, going into space, or a literal nuclear bomb & all at a reasonable price. Apple can't make a laptop or smart phone that doesn't die from a few drops of water, yet it still costs upwards of $1000's or more.
BOOOOOOO WHERE'S LOUIS BOOOOOooooo.... Oh wait... Paul is fun! And eco-friendly since he uses the Paul amount of flux. And he explains! DOWN WITH CELEBRITY REALTOR-ACTIVIST-OREO PETTER LOUIS!!! ON WITH PAUL!!!!
We need more videos with you and Paul! Paul seems a great presenter and would definitely be a good fit if you wanted to focus 100% on RTR legislation. Love the videos (even the board repairs ones)
Poor Louis. He's had to undergo reconstruction surgery twice to hide from the anti right to repair guys. Previously, he reconstructed himself as a young hippie. Now, he's disguised as a balding middle aged man. Stay safe Louis.
I think he might do these repairs better than Louis. I like this. Humor needs work. Louis is just so sharp with his humor, especially Apple bashing that we all love.
Waaaaaaaaait a second... this "Paul" character isn't new, I've seen him before, during the real estate arc! They just put a mask on him and pretended he's a different hero!
Louis, thanks for the great content. General question: what are the two mics you are using, the one on the boom at home and the one that you wear on your head while you repair?
I'm here only for Paul and his jokes. I am not interested in learning repair and never will. I'm a programmer. I normally don't watch any of these but this one has Paul in it.
My 2017 MacBook Air got milk damage and even after cleaning and drying with archaeology the logic board doesn’t accept power from the battery anymore (the battery isn’t affected). I have to use it plugged in.
"It deserves to be fixed properly, even if it's a Mac"
💀💀💀 I love you guys
Any job worth doing, is worth doing well.
@@bertblankenstein3738 it absolutely is. Words I live by.
I want to know where they get their jumper wires from
@@Dtr146 They refer to it as "battery wire" often.
I like how you go into the "why" things are happening. Astute, attention to detail. Unbelievably, or not, its a rareity amongst a lot of shows.
Congrats to our new shortest draw winner🎉
WTF this has nothing to do with NYC real estate.
Or buying stocks!
@@d00dEEE Or right to repair
Or cats!
😂
Or a ranting bike ride through NYC?
I am finally back to real Louis videos... And I start off seeing Paul... ❤️ This feels like the good old days.
And Paul, if you see this, THANK YOU for being the one to teach me to heat the board from the other side for connectors. Total game changer for me.
Louis pre-cleans the board by soaking it in flux.
If it works
Louis always uses the right amount of flux any other amount is wrong.
Too much doesn't exist.
In good quality genuine AM Tech Tacky Flux.. nothing better than that stuff after the soak good ultrasound jacuzzi treatment...
Just like with lubricant, can never have too much lube. :D
Hey its one of those videos that he says we dont watch. Cool =)
Louis has good staff. I think I'm going to enjoy learning from them

Nice contrast between Paul's "classical" style board repairs and Louis's "heavy metal" approach. I like it! Thanks!
"1 Paul amount of flux" - by definition, any amount of flux Paul uses is 1 Paul of flux
I want Paul to do this more often, it is very soothing.
So finally we learn that Louis had been prefluxing the donor boards so Paul didn't have to.
"How much flux should I use?"
Paul: Exactly what's needed to cover your immediate work area.
Louis: What Paul said, but I count the entire board as my work area.
Wait, when's the part where he installs Tik Tok?
They only do that on Charlie Brown's phone.
Yay, Paul! It's really enjoyable seeing how the other guys in the shop approach both the repair itself, and talking to the camera.

I still can't believe, that the repair shop repairing MAC laptops is ran purely by people who HATE apple products. First Louis rambling about it, now his asistant.
Apple makes bad products, from a reliability standpoint.
I don't repair Apple products, but I know every single flaw of the products I repair, which makes me a very pertinent critique of these products.
Glad to see Paul is still a habitual q-tipper.
I'm here to see bikes being rode through traffic. Refund me please.
…while driving by questionable 'outside' real estate ! :-)
So good seeing Paul S on camera at work again - but this time in the new shop. Makes things feel like a fairly even, calm, state of equilibrium after so much turbulence.
This guy rocks! Please keep showing up.
Holy shit idk why but I thought this was Louis and he just shaved his head and got really pale.

Great job Paul! Glad to start seeing you in these videos! Cheers!
Seems like it's been awhile. Nice to see Paul fixing things again !

Louis is working on his drivers license.
It is admirable that no matter who loses the straw, we get a good board repair. 7/10 due to lack on nyc real state analisis though 😢👌

Great video, keep it up legend. You, Louis and the team are awesome.
20:02 Shots fired at Louis for using too much flux. HAHA!
Another one draws the short straw... welcome! 😁
Is that Louis pushing flux in the background?
Great video. I would really recommend getting side light for removing microscope glare
I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who fights with a noisy breathing when recording repairs
Nice job. Neat soldering.
We missed you, Paul!
Great video Paul! I am always amazed how many boards have liquid damage. What do people do when they are using their macbook!
Probably drinking at starbucks
Thanks for taking up the board repair stream challenge. Great work. And just the right amount of flux :-)
All hail Paul, programming prestidigitator, scintillating solderer, and fair fluxer! 🤣🤣🤣

You guys has best cam setup
Noone messes with Paul! 🎉
Paul doesn't need an introduction, he's been there for years 😛
Awesome video, Paul!
Good speech and job, Paul. Hope to see you more often.
3:50 if that's a paul amount of flux then why is the RUclips thumbnail at least for me that board swimming in flux
Louis I want Paul Daniels
Louis: We have Paul Daniels at home
Paul Daniels at home:
More Paul please...great video.
Great work and interesting video. ✔️
Thanks! 👏
It's amazing to watch PC's being created
Nice repair. Thanks!
looks like louis has aged considerably after all those repair rights, nyc real estate and hedge funds bullshit
Also got significantly better at soldering.
Has the unit of measure "Paul", as related to a volume of Flux, been added to the relevant CRC manual?
Paul. Louis and others, you guys are awesome....
We need more videos of him and Anel
I think he might do these repairs better than Louis. I like this. Humor needs work. Louis is just so sharp with his humor, especially Apple bashing that we all love.
Now I understand why Louis used to say "one micro-Paul of flux" when he'd put his big ol' glob of flux on the board
I love the paul repairs. Especially when they are hard ones. Maybe louis can help me set a needle.
Waaaaaaaaait a second... this "Paul" character isn't new, I've seen him before, during the real estate arc! They just put a mask on him and pretended he's a different hero!
Your videos educate me!
What was that ending phrase again? ah yes "hope you learned something"
Paul has a crazy cool screwdriver
Okay, using reclaimed flux from Louis's donor board is pretty great 🤣
Man it's like looking 20 years into the future
Gotta have those puffy little pillows

YAY PAUL IS MAKING VIDEOS! Everyone knows Paul secretly runs that place! :)
Louis: "...and here's how to heart a comment, Paul"
I believe the word you are looking for is PMU "use only one PMU of flux" - one Paul mass unit
Oh hey a wow stick. Ive got one of those. Got it as a gift. Love the thing.
Thanks for the good video, what's that little battery driver? I've seen wiha ones before for about $450 and viewed them as a gimmick
That is the Wowstick 1F. It's been great, been using it for about a year now.
you are the best louis
Interesting! So The Paul is an inverse SI unit?
1 milliPaul being 1000 times more than 1 Paul? :O
Is Louis OK ?
Louis has changed a lot i mean a lot
24:00 Paul straight gangsta here.
When apple makes cars paul can fix them too
wow louis has really changed over this lockdown
What happened to Louis?
A tactically precise amount of flux, and that background info explains why.
you should run for mayor Louis there is no one more competent. New York will need your skills in coming years
My 2017 MacBook Air got milk damage and even after cleaning and drying with archaeology the logic board doesn’t accept power from the battery anymore (the battery isn’t affected). I have to use it plugged in.
Puffy Pillows is so satisfying to say
What is UC? ^^
Paul it is sow calm .
The content i signed up for
As a "Visual ASMR" appreciator, all I can say is that Paul quantities of flux do not provide sufficient melting/flowing satisfaction.
