A few months ago I also bought this keyboard, thanks to your video. I was really happy with the purchase. After a while, when I'm happy with it, I'll change the switches, stabilizers, and also lube them, again with the help of your videos! Last week I bought and custom white coiled cabble. I cant wait to arrived to my country! Thank for everythink.
I love these modding videos and I’m always so excited when I see one in my subscriptions area. And just from watching your videos I put Akko radiant reds in my tecware phantom 87 with ymdk keycaps and it’s sounds amazing. Congrats on 100k
Niceee, a new video on rk68. I will be modding it heavily in the coming day as well. Got the pro milky yellow, Rudy pbt keycaps, new stabilizer and gonna be adding weight inside as well
bro congrats on 100k i was at the live stream and was exciting you should try putting silicone o rings onm the outer standoffs and on the plate and pcb to make it more bouncy and have a way better sound
@@ConsumerTechReview I think our should get some Sione o rings sized at 4mm 1mm by 1.5 they look like the perfect fit and you can get them off Amazon or pretty cheap
Hi, im a beginner and honestly, i got hooked into keyboard mods because of your vdos.. hehe. Can you consider doing a mod on Mcgegee MK Box Plus. The available vdos online arent detail like yours. Thank you. Merry xmas and happy new yr! Btw, such an awesome vdo and informative. Keep up the great postings
For your next modding video, can you o - ring gasket mount the board? It is where you put a large gummy o ring between the pcb and plate and cut the standoffs off the board so then it makes the board gasket mount
i cannot fit it anymore when i tried modding with masking tape and dampener. the screw cant reach the bottom and the hole for my cord dont align so i have to remove both huhu. i have rk71 any suggestions :))
Any other way than putting three O-rings on the middle stem of the spacebar to not make it klack like crazy? I did the tape and grease mod. Still waiting on the foam for the PCB. Would buying other keycaps help? I want the thock without o-rings.
I recently got an RK100 Pro (I need the numpad due to my job). It's my first mechanical keyboard. Just 2 days ago I lubed the switches and I can't believe the difference it makes. I guessed it would make it sound better, but I was surprised at how big the difference was. My fingers still hurt a little (for opening 100 switches) but it was worth it. Edit: BTW why do you say silicone like that?
Just wondering if I could just change the switches and keycaps for this keyboard since I’m on a budget? I was thinking about using the Akko CS Jelly Black Linear switch. :)
If performing the holee mod I would not prefer thicker lube like xhbtz or dielectric grease stick with 205g0 but you can put as much as you want and it should over the wire until you can’t see much of the wire Also for the stabs: There is something called ticking, it’s a small sound created when barely touching each side of the keycap To remove this you can perform the holee mod but also a new mod called the Mason mod. This mod is to put a bandage under the stabiliser wire (make sure it covers the area where the wire is) For space bar do the same thing but on each side you can make the bandage as long as you want
It's not necessarily what's the best, but what sound you want. Each material will change the acoustics, however, for me I've found I like really thick sound so silicone or butyl rubber, anything that is very very dense. But it's all up to personal preference!
To maximize productivity, is it better to use the red switches than the brown switches in consideration of the silentness of these swithches? I also saw from other yt videos that Gateron offers a more silent red switches. I would like to make sure that I'm getting the right parts before i buy them.
Question does the rk68 have north facing pc or soutch facing pcb because im buying rk68 with akko cs rose red and cherry profile akko macaw keycaps so plss help me it would really mean alot thanks
pin this if you love your fans
so cringe
ratio
would be pretty cool if you changed your prof pic for 100k?
lol so cringe
lmao you though that he would not pin you
This is so well filmed. The shots and camera angles make it super easy to follow
THIS IS SO CRAZY I LITERALLY HAVE THE EXACT SAME KEYBOARD AND AND AM STARTING TO MOD IT RIGHT NOW WTH
That’s a good feeling.
did u tape mod?
Very well paced tutorial, should help lots of people improve their boards.

@@ConsumerTechReview oMG YOUR MY FAVORITE RUclipsR
Pretty snazy build! Love the mods done on it. Can't wait for the pt2 vid with lubed switches 👏
I have been waiting for this for so long! Thanks for this mod tutorial!
I would like to see you do an intermediate to advanced mod of the Redragon K630. Congratulations on 100k subscribers and keep up the quality work!
Congrats for 100k subs 🥳🥳
I got this keyboard yesterday and was looking to mod it (this is my first time hehe). Thanks a lot!

This is a perfect video of modding a keyboard.
Beautiful job doing the mod and the video itself.

Congrats on 100k!
i love this mod. i have this keyboard right now but I haven't done anything with it except for putting the keycaps on it.
Niceee, a new video on rk68. I will be modding it heavily in the coming day as well. Got the pro milky yellow, Rudy pbt keycaps, new stabilizer and gonna be adding weight inside as well
what stabilizers did you get? I'm trying to figure out if durock plate mount stabs will work.
Gotta say, those keycaps look really nice!
Congrats on 100k🥳
congrats on 100k!
Excellent video. Concise, easy-to-follow, good content.
bro congrats on 100k i was at the live stream and was exciting you should try putting silicone o rings onm the outer standoffs and on the plate and pcb to make it more bouncy and have a way better sound
Thank you! And yes, I've been meaning to do that actually! Do you know a good size for the o rings?
@@ConsumerTechReview I think our should get some Sione o rings sized at 4mm 1mm by 1.5 they look like the perfect fit and you can get them off Amazon or pretty cheap
@@JeetFN sweet! Thanks for the info, I'll definitely make sure to include that in the next modding video!

Great Tutorial! Thanks for sharing with our YUNZII Milk Keycap Set!
Theses moding videos ore really fun to watch keep up the good work
i have several friends do the stabs mod as your video shows and they can't put it back together now , good game lol
What can you advice? Should I just skip on that mod?
@@ibzmav you can try as well , it's not hard to do it , if you encounter the problem just remove the mod

DUDE JUST HIT A HUNDRED THOUSAND SUBS LETS GOOOOO
bro is legit what i need
Thanks, how do I replace the batteries, does anyone know? My RK68 can't hold a charge longer than a day 😕
Congrats for 100k
All I wish for christmas is a modding tutorial for rk100
For your next modding video, can you o - ring gasket mount the board? It is where you put a large gummy o ring between the pcb and plate and cut the standoffs off the board so then it makes the board gasket mount
can we use automotive or multipurpose grease to lube the metal part of the stabilizers?
Make a tutorial for the RK71 please 😁
How come there's no interference with the key caps? Would cherry profile key caps interfere with the stock switches on this key board?
i cannot fit it anymore when i tried modding with masking tape and dampener. the screw cant reach the bottom and the hole for my cord dont align so i have to remove both huhu. i have rk71 any suggestions :))
In any case, you know what is c39 in the pcb layout of this keyboard?
Is this a one press arrow keys keyboard? Like no need to hold the FN to use the arrow keys? Just one press like on 100% keyboards?
Would vaseline work as a lube substitute if I don't have actual lube?
Can I use high temp grease ? It's for motorcycle parts😊
Can you do the tm680 pls
Did I did something wrong with the stabilizers if after the whole holee mod, there was not much sound pressing the keys with stabilizers?
About how much silicone did you use. I found a 7 ounce pair?
Is there any reason you don't do a typing test instead of randomly smacking keys?
Any other way than putting three O-rings on the middle stem of the spacebar to not make it klack like crazy? I did the tape and grease mod. Still waiting on the foam for the PCB. Would buying other keycaps help? I want the thock without o-rings.

My switches don’t come out.. I got the keyboard about a year and half ago. Anyone know why it may not be working?
Could you please do a review on the rk61 pro. Kind of like the rk84 vs the 84pro
plz
if you dont have silicone mix you can but silicone baking sheets that are cuttable theyre cheaper and easier to find
hi consumer tech ! do you know if you need to lube your stabs to makeyour keyboard sound good or can it be done with just tape/foam modding?
how do i change the color for the keyboard its stuck at blue
I'm upgrading my rk68, but idk if durock v2 stabs fit? How much should I get?
Is this keyboard the same to the Royal Kludge G68??
can someone pls help me, i hae the same keyboard and some keys just dont work like they dont hae electricity
This guy is so good
Just wondering if I could just change the switches and keycaps for this keyboard since I’m on a budget? I was thinking about using the Akko CS Jelly Black Linear switch. :)
Hello! Can you do a review on the ACR61 AKKO?
Is it okay if we went a little further for the wire with the holee mod?
How much silicone do you use?
Can u put any switches in this keyboard?
About how much silicone did you use. Will 7oz be enough?
Can u review the akko acr 61? I am thinking of getting it or maybe u got some better recommendation?
Can I bandaid mod the plate on the gk61?
Could you mod the Yunzii KC84 Pro?
keep in mind those keycaps are cherry profile, which will interfere with north facing switch configuration on r3
Can u review and mod the havit 60% keyboard ( mouse might be included but keyboard is the main attraction )
I actually liked the sound before the mod, but it looks nice
Is mine used or why is foam in there? And why you have no battery in there?
Hey quick question, can I use krytox 205g0 for the stabilizers as well?
Yes, but thicker lube is preferred for the wires
Yeah you can just put generous amount on the wire
I would say krytox is better for stabilizers if you add a generous amount
If performing the holee mod I would not prefer thicker lube like xhbtz or dielectric grease stick with 205g0 but you can put as much as you want and it should over the wire until you can’t see much of the wire

Yes and some people say it’s better
Hi does the pcb of RK68 fits the tofu65 acrylic case?
Could you do orc nimbleback next
Hey was wondering if you can do another tecware phantom 87 modding video, and congrats pm hitting 100k subs
is this the non-battery version? I'm wondering if it's safe to do silicone fill with the battery one. Great video!
How do you remove the battery that comes with it?
Bro for me can you make a vid for the best hot swapable keybourd that is comparable for ps4, or every keybourd u reviue you say if it works with ps4
Bro all you need is a keyboard using usb-c cable and connect it to the ps4
Lmao
How can I do the silicone mod if I bought the wireless one, since it has a battery. Can I even do it?
Just skip it
were do you get the cable
He got it from asceny
Just got my Glorious model O
Can u pls make a review about the apex 3 tkl??
Hey bro question, why does my keys with stabs like the shift, enter and backspace key so quiet and not poppy nor clicky, it feels like sticky
you overlubed
Please do a Feker IK75 review/build video :D
do you buy the dampener made for the 60 key layout for this keyboard?
From your experience, what case dampening material is the best?
It's not necessarily what's the best, but what sound you want. Each material will change the acoustics, however, for me I've found I like really thick sound so silicone or butyl rubber, anything that is very very dense. But it's all up to personal preference!
You should try the feker ik75 its basically like a plastic gmmk pro
You don't do tempest or tape mod in the past vids? why
To maximize productivity, is it better to use the red switches than the brown switches in consideration of the silentness of these swithches? I also saw from other yt videos that Gateron offers a more silent red switches. I would like to make sure that I'm getting the right parts before i buy them.
reds are the quietest and fall into the linear grouping, so get reds and in the future hot swap to another linear switch like gateron milky yellows
Question does the rk68 have north facing pc or soutch facing pcb because im buying rk68 with akko cs rose red and cherry profile akko macaw keycaps so plss help me it would really mean alot thanks
North
I sometimes wonder if someone has ever done every possible case dampening material and how it would sound like, maybe i'd try it for myself
nearLucid has some comparisons about PE foam vs EVA foam vs PE+EVA and he has other great content about keyboards as well
Would u recommend a razer huntsman mini or a modded a RK68
Is there anyway for me to contact u so i could pay u to do it for me
cool video this will help me
Can you do a video on ciy tester 68 because that board actually really cheap and sound really good
how about redragon lakshmi k606r mod?
