Honestly the only negative to me of that key fob is that it doesn’t have the backup physical key inside of it especially since it has to constantly be charged but it’s good that even after the battery dies, the comfort unlock will still work for almost a year.

Yes, with ac on and windows down. Or heater on... also an option to program if you have a cutout exhaust with an electric switch.

I was so excited to upgrade my n54 335 to a cool fob but bought an X3M this summer instead and I’m excited for just the wrist band access. Lol

Planning on getting a bmw as a first car and to build on my channel. Any suggestions?
Any n54 car will provide a ton of content due to it always needing things fixed and maintenance alone will provide content for a few videos. I'd stay away from it as a first car though because it's a lot of power for someone without experience with rwd, a 128i will provide an amazing driving experience though because it's a fairly powerful naturally aspirated inline six in the last analog chassis bmw ever made, and once you max it out you can move onto a 135i.
Wow $55 for this exact same product on aliexpress including the obd proximity sensor. This is a ripoff, not a niche product.

He paid $275 for a $40 Chinese remote, the company orders them from china and up charge customer to transfer their stock key internal to the remote! Smh

Very cool stuff, but the one thing that perplexes me is - why in the world is the PANIC button a 2 to 3 step process to get to? It's the PANIC button for pete's sake!! It should be a quick, easy to access, physical button that does not require scrolling through menus to get to. Hopefully a firmware upgrade will enable the ability to maybe long-press the trunk button to invoke PANIC functionality??? My F30 key has the PANIC button and there's been occasion where I've actually used it (in an actual panic) so I don't want to lose that quick physical functionality. Fix that and I'm in. It's a very cool device otherwise!

This is like inventing the wheel but square, we all have keyless entry and start why would anyone that has this feature need this key as you never use the key anyways? And the proximity is stupid because if I park my car in my drive way and I go to my living room the car will never close or when you walk by the car it will keep closing and opening

I’ll buy it if they give me a setting to have the proximity thing only work on locking. I’ll use comfort access to unlock because there is 0 effort and this proximity to lock when I walk away. I don’t want this stupid thing to beep my car every time I walk past it. I have multiple cars next to each other.

An OBD splitter/converter would work. I'm currently using one for my Jb4 and aftermarket steering wheel.
Why have the BMW logo using so much screen space. I would have preferred more icons on each screen. And needs a faster responding screen.
Damn my E90 doesn't have comfort access. I just need a key fob to lock and unlock as my factory one has taken a crap and I have to use the physical key. Thankfully I can still use it in the ignition. Any suggestions?
Simply purchase a new key fob (same as you have now) and a local lock smith or person that codes/programs can set it up with your vehicle.

you can code the trunk to close it with the remote, that was the first thing i did with my F10!
How do you code it? I have a G02 and the remote does not close it. Heard its a north america thing.
@@oluwaseyimafi6779 i’m not sure about any of the X series models, my mothers F15 doesn’t have the option to close with the remote last i checked. I checked out some videos and forums for F10 coding possibilities and I used Bimmercode to do it
The animations are pretty laggy IMO. If this is 275 to make it worth it maybe put 4 gm more ram for 10 bucks or slitely better chip/oled to make the screen look better and animation more smooth.

Hard to compare a mass produced product from a multi billion dollar company with this niche item.
@@VehicleVirals thats fair, but you can also look at the android smart watches which I know is also a multi billion dollar company. These key fobs are android tech and still way slower than the android watches. I think it’s just outdated tech with a high price tag.

Do you really have to plug in the OBD adapter? I have my JB4 plugged into that port.
You don't have to unless you want to use the proximity feature.

Video is a year old however it's an absolute waster for the newer BMWs since digital key is right on your phone or wallet.

This is a ripoff. They basically just buy an already made keyfob from ebay, put a M sticker on it and give you a braided charger and a custom box.
The one on ebay is $70.
What if…. If you do have an e9x without comfort access…. you get ONE of those keys and use the other OEM one to start the car? I know I know, it removes the purpose of having an upgraded key fob but hey, it looks pretty right? Lmao
