Another great video, i really think your videos have huge potential for a bigger audience. Pleasant voice and fluid commentary, accessible explanations mixed with authentic humor. Keep it up !
I really appreciate the guide but I need my trains! I don't care if pipes are more efficient, seeing trails haul oil from the derrick site is a wonderful experience. How dare you tell me not to! Jokes aside, this guide is absolutely amazing. I'm in love with your sense of humor, pacing, and uncut style of gameplay. You've inspired my playthrough so much that my development speed has soared through the roof, and I'm only 4 episodes in. Loving every second of this so far.
Glad I could help! I also love trains too in Factorio, I think they are one of the best features, watching 50 trains going around doing their thing... So awesome!
Dude I'm so glad I found you! You've become my favorite go-to guy for all things Factorio! You take such complex concepts and break them down into perfect bite size pieces, and your humor style isn't forced; very natural and relatable.
That will never happen cuz console people of which they're billions could never understand why this is the best game ever made....this and satisfactory and Dyson sphere program😍
@@randylahey1232 Considering it just launched on Nintendo Switch recently, I'm sure it could come to Xbox at some point. I'm just waiting for PC parts to come down in price so I can play the game as it was made originally.
Just got into Factorio and I was searching for channels to help me, this was the first channel that popped up and I’ve been watching your videos for every stage of progress!
Your videos have been Incredibly useful. The explanation of oil plumbing especially so. You took this game from an overwhelming mountain and made a manageable mound out of it.
Dude. Your videos are usually the most helpful. To the chase and explanations that drop to my noob level without wasting time telling me how to think. I love the way you explain stuff. I’m just new to Factorio but I can see being in this game for a very very long time. Launch a Rocket ? Now MEGABASE !!! The possibilities never end
shared this series with my friends and we're all mind blowed by efficiency of your factory - it seems so easy when you do it and yet when we were doing it, it was hell of a mess
I made my first oil/plastic/red circuit setup without any help. It was brutal. You make this game look easy. I hope to one day have over 4000 hours logged so I can make it look easy as well.
Something I really like about your guides is what you’ve already mentioned, the fact you give us lots of useful tips and tricks without taking away from the fun of trying things out ourselves is something I really appreciate, there are dozens of things I’ve picked up from you that I’ve tried out for myself and had a lot of fun playing around with, you’re very underrated in my opinion, keep it up my man
Thanks! Its a fine line between showing how its best done...and showing you how it can be done, I try to walk that line carefully! But glad I could help! I am pretty sure no videos in my series will ever show you the "Most optimized way" but, give you lots of ideas on how to do stuff! The factory must grow! Except steam turbines, cause... thats annoying if its not working properly :D
Yeah, what I am doing with this series right now, I play on the same seed, and I keep the rough placement and numbers, but fiddle with them slightly to suit my requirements and tastes. For example, I made the oil pipeline on the west side of that starting area lake, rather than the east, to skip all the ugly piping on that tiny peninsula. Another thing, I've set up a small smelting facility, separate from the main factory, to produce iron plates for my handcrafting needs.
I've recently got this game and It's very intimidating. I have a hard time setting up things in an efficient manner and I have to keep moving things. Your videos are fairly helpful.
Fantastic tutorial series, thanks very much! Very minor point, but could you add some lights next time you do similar? During the night it’s quite hard to see what’s going on at times
@@YamaKara Haha, doesn't affect the tutorials too much though, dude. Thanks very much again for such a brilliant series. New subscriber here from England :)
Subscribing to this, a friend of my wife's got me into playing this and I'm not happy with how sloppy my set ups look at the time, and being told Bluescience and oil being a kind of make or break point for people I wanted to look into how it's set up. Seeing your production lines and your assembler set up's is gonna have me cleaning up my factory on my days off.
i thought it was a bit long (since i was just lookin for oil explanation) but holy moley thanks- well worth it- went through like...a decent amount of tutorials b4 finding this one which just told me what i needed to know as a beginner

Feels like watching those "factorio for noobs in 10 minutes" videos are just waste of time. I watched a bunch of them, but there were so many holes in my knowledge that as soon as I started playing it I didn't know what to do. These videos are actually making the game playable lol
Thanks a million for this series! Extremely glad I came across your channel. I saw you did a Banished video forever ago - did you ever get into the Colonial Charter overhaul? I can't play without out now (but obviously, I'm stuck in Factario now).
Ahh Banished! I loved that game, no I never played any mods for that game, I didnt even realize there was a modding community for that! (That video for banished was..... uhh.... I was learning :) these series should be much more refined :D But thanks for checking out the videos, and I will look into this Colonial Charter overhaul!
oh thank god they simplified oil. blue circuits was the farthest I got before back in 0.14 and I couldnt figure out oil. I wound up just having a huge field of tanks to store a bunch of the excess that i would have to keep deonstructing and remaking XD
The ship is..a new item that got released into the game with version 1.0.. feels like such a shame to just... trash it! Once it's gone you can never put it back, so I keep it around
@19:50 lol *Looks at current second play through and how for oils everything is every where with lots of undergrounds surrounded by railway loop, realising before playing this vid that needed more space *
Amazing tips, I just started to play on the Switch, and almost 9h later I'm on this oil part haha. Btw, why do you keep the destroyed ship hanging around? I mined it, was it a mistake?
i used to play the poo out of this game tell i mastered oil.... that mastery of the fine art of oil refinery burned me out and i quite playing. Getting back into the game now and i think i will have a better experience lmao used to have to plan the base around oil before you had the oil or you spent so much time re routing everything..... well me and my 2 brain cells anyways.....
Players often limit chests for build items like labs, efficiency modules, furnaces, etc since you don't ever need 10,000 of them for example. And if your chest has a limit of 300 chances are it'd enough for you to use until it's able to replenish. Also limiting belts is often done, as it eats far too much iron and you don't need 3000 belts immediately, so you let some science build when it can. But you definitely do not have to limit if your not into that... Why this game is good, more than one way to skin a cat
before watching your guide i sucked at factorio and now i still suck but now i know why i suck

Congrats! Oil is a big milestone! Now on to the rocket!
Hey man, nice vid but I just wanna ask, is the basic oil processing different now? In my game it only needed crude oil and no water.

@19:50 lol *Looks at current second play through and how for oils everything is every where with lots of undergrounds surrounded by railway loop, realising before playing this vid that needed more space *
Oil can be a massive mess. But. This is the gold standard, trying to... Make your life easier. 🤷
did you kill the biters nest? because there aren't any on your mini map
Thanks For The Helpful Video!
Bro the way you made space simply by adding underground stuff is like wow
I love your videos bro

No mistake. Some people just like to keep it for sentimental reasons.
I thought it was a new video! 😢
RUclips did me dirty.. hahaha
How's family? will you be able to get back to Factorio or anything on the channel?
"Who's in charge here..." LOL!!!!
😅
HOW DO YOU PICK UP STUFF OFF THE BELTS? How did you copy the one set up? I need help Please
Ctrl+c ctrl+v for copy paste.
And z to grab stuff off the ground or belt I believe off the top of my head!
its holding F while walking down a belt to collect the stuff of the belts

Do youe ver build another base enar your first?
For How long is a 1 wide bus viable?
Steam message sound made me look. I don't have steam installed on my work computer :P
Lol 😆
My factory always starts out great but ends up being a spaghetti mess.

It makes 0 sense to ever limit your chests. I don’t get the strategy behind it
