  • Cone Denim, in business since 1891, has partnered up to make Jaxx Sacs with denim covers. Watch this video to see a history of the Cone Denim manufacturing process. It is like a step back in time and is super to view to understand the history of denim in the United States.

I bought a Levi jeans 504 made from white oak cone denim many years ago and I still have that jeans and wear it sometimes. Man that jeans is so good the colour of the jeans didnt change neither through the years after washing and washing over maybe 300 times at least. I paid a lot for the jeans but it was it worth. So comfortly even when the weather is hot its still good to wear

Too bad you didn't have any footage of the opening room and the cards. When I was a teenager I worked at White Oak and was amazed by the entire process. It is now just a good memory.

I live at the old Cone Mill plant (now Revolution Mill)!! Super cool building, they have some of the old machinery on display & a museum of the place inside. Free to the public!

The movement of the wooden floor boards underneath the shuttle looms is what made it special. Japan tried to replicate but couldn't. True story.

      No. IT'S lie.
      その話は、日本人がWhiteoakDenimを売り込みたかったために言い出した、promotionです。
      それこそtrue story。

Five years later White Oak Mill in Greensboro, NC was torn down. At one time it was the largest denim mill in the world.

Are there any videos that show how the warp beam is loaded into the machine and how each thread is fed into it?

The company shut down its last factory because not enough Americans were willing to pay a premium for jeans made from Cone Mills denim, and too many companies imported cheaper denim from other countries after protectionist policies disappeared.

I was the "head technician" in the weave room at Cone Mills in Cliffside NC for 22 years. We were all one big family that took pride in the quality of the denim. The plant was going strong for over 100 years until NAFTA was passed and bought by Wilbur Ross (Trumps commerce secretary) which he shut most of the textile plants down and moved them to China. Levi plants in ( Murphy NC and Knoxville TN) closed and went to China. A few years later Cone Mills moved there also shutting down and leaving thousands out of a job. If you bought a pair of 501 jeans it was made from virgin cotton to finished product at Cone Cliffside plant.

Vidalia Mills bought all their machines and moved them to Louisiana, they hired most of Cone mills employees that were willing to move as well.
