I was swimming in a fairly desolate area of Oregon with my girlfriend when a warden popped out of the bushes like some kind of maniac. Started yelling at us to come ashore and produce our fishing licences. We looked at each other puzzled because fishing was the last thing on our mind right about that time. Even though we informed him we were not there to fish he didn't believe us and him and another warden who showed up spent the next hour looking for "our " fishing rods. He also wanted to check our car parked about 1/2 mile away . The whole interaction should have been quick and easy, but this guy was hell bent on finding something to pin on us. My opinion on the wardens in Oregon is not so great.
also I am a law-abiding citizen I spend several hundred or more dollars every year to hunt and fish in Oregon been here my hole 63 years of life and really do support law enforcement even grew up with law enforcement in my family, but this was really uncalled for. I was just Backpacking and fishing in some of God's country legally.

Backcountry rescue is free unless express negligence is proven. Which is rarely the case. They don’t want you to die out there unnecessarily because you didn’t want to pay. It’s not like an ambulance

The only issue with this is that it costs more to the ranch owner, however it is beneficial to the deer. Also, it’s important to make sure that the wires are tight, deer are more likely to “bounce,” off a taught line then lose line. Where I grew up, our deer were much smaller than the deer on this program. Most of our deer were about the size of a large goat, we have lots of them. Stay safe out there everyone !!!
Hey Montana Game Warden's, Elk and Deer do not have Horn's.... to educate the young hunter's they are called Antler's. There is a big difference between a Horn's vs Antler's.

We where canoeing and 2 of the guys in other canoes with us were drinking beer and putting the empty cans in the water and sinking them to the bottom they had pictures of them $250 fine one of the guys wife was sooo mad because they had a trash bag in the canoe
I’m lost on all of this stuff but continue to listen and try to understand it all. It would be nice to get a decent private phone with a built in nice thermal camera option for backwoods survival hunting camping and such

Wyoming might look into this. Right now the landowner gets paid for grass being eaten off of their land. Where does the money come from to pay the Wyoming landowner?

With over 50 years hunting and fishing had a Montana Kalispell Indian Game warden make bogus citations with his rodeo buddies. Stole the Summer Sausage from the processing. He ended up changing jobs due to other people having a problem with him. Did write the Governor but it was over his head, Federal. Sad when you follow the law.
This shows exactly why cops need better training when you make up illegal ticket and drive away from the area instead of getting the supervisor to make sure you're correct

😂 officials are quick to put a animal out of its misery "which is fine"but if you do it you get fined among other things. Kind of like a motorcycle cop giving tickets for going 28 in a 25 but then when the leave to go to another area they take off doing 35 to 40.
Depending on what they are using It may have to be temperature stabilized or refrigerated. Would also need a separate dart rifle. Just depends on the state
Elk over objective populations and ranchers complaining about damage. Hunters pay for that restitution, yet the ranchers want to charge an arm, a leg, and a left nut, for hunters to hunt elk they (residents) already "own". Here's a thought, everyone, let people hunt your property, without fee, and EVERYONE benefits, just like it used to be. There should be no restitution for ranchers who charge to hunt or "trespass". Wildlife agencies are complicit with outfitters and landowners driving up costs way out of reach for average hunters, so I don't want to hear any of you pissandmoan that things aren't going well. Rich man's sport now.
Why make people buy fishing licenses? It's not for funding-it's for control and fining only! Nobody should have to purchase a License to enjoy a constitutional freedom! It's ALL about control!
