Note: A LEGAL ultralight is limited to 1 seat and requires no pilot certificate to fly. A 2-seat "ultralight" is, in fact, a Light Sport Airplane and requires a pilot certificate to fly. There is no such thing as a "legal 2-seat ultralight."

Sometimes it's impossible to see wires. Adjust your flying accordingly so you can live to fly again!
Thanks for sharing
Keep an eye out for the telephone poles. You will see them long before you will see the wires.
Hi Courtney , My name is Jan , Marty Jeason is my husband , this is a great and necessary video , thank you for putting it out there , When Marty teaches someone to fly he starts with the demo flight and warns prospective new students about the hazards of power lines and airplanes hitting them . If this saves even one person your labors to produce are well worth it , Thank you for your time spent to keep pilots and passengers safe ..
You're welcome and best wishes to you and your husband.
As a sport parachutist, I always said look for the poles they are easier to see. You can bet there are wires between them
You are correct.
Here in the UK, there is a 500ft separation from people, vehicles and buildings rule that is illegal to breach - so logically staying minimum 500 ft above the ground level is the best way to avoid breaking the law - Bonus 1 - no wires likely to be above 500ft! Bonus 2 - the RAF low level flying is all conducted UNDER 500ft - so if we stay above that, we don't risk a close encounter with a low flying jet!!
I fly over 1,000 feet most of the time for all kinds of reasons!
It is very important to fly high and with speed.
Agree
So bad & pathetic situation 😢
Agree.
you will never see the lines, look for power poles, then assume lines are near them
Agree!
Look for poles not wires, Even 500 kv lines can be hard to see.
Agreed
Que terrible
