Your amma is a very intelligent human being, she is a fast learner! Benne , thuppa both look good. I don't get Turmeric leaves but I add organic Turmeric pd, clove, curry leaves, pepper and Cinnamon. Bajane was good :)
I buy grass fed Cow's butter (comes from Ireland) here which costs more but worth the money and make Thuppa at home. Never liked store bought ghee. I make Benne at home too but only small amount.
