Ha ! At last someone who delivers a review to a level I can fully identify with. Not only that, we look similar, we probably support the same football club and both have an LE postcode. I've been considering these speakers for a while. I currently have a pair of Pacific Evo 30 which I have only recently been hearing them properly having replaced my old Technics amp with a Cambridge AX61. Its left me wanting more now. Do you think they would be a good alternative? Cheers
I can not speak for the 4.4. I have the 4.2. With the 4.2, they are very revealing and brutal on poor recordings, poor mastering ( especially brickwall EQ'd masterings, or any EQing that jacks up the treble, and high frequencies to ridiculous levels). However, on high quality recordings, well balanced mixes and rational EQing: they are simply beautiful and musically engaging. Maybe Fatpigeon can provide some insight on the 4.4.
Hi. Thank you for that presentation. I do understand the difference between resistance and impedance. Out of curiosity I checked what result will I get if I connect a multimeter to the back of Focal Chorus 714s rated as 8 ohm / 90 watt. The DC resistance came back as 4 ohm . Speakers are all fine and work really well , given the fact there is a crossover in the equation and i dont want to open the box so i could check the very speakers inside separately - would you say this difference between rating 8 ohm and dc resistance showing 4 ohm is normal? Thank you.
Yes 8ohm will measure 4-6ohm on DMM. Its not an accurate impedance reading, just a guide. Vast majority of modern speakers go 4ohm or below at certain frequencies.
Here you go okay here you go an EMT no matter the speaker model Northern maker all the same size they're not a big Tweeter there just an efficient Twitter with a different look a different built.. don't be swoon by this enormous sales pitch that makes them sound as though God himself brought them to us.. go audition them for yourself and decide that is the only way to buy.. so honestly the price is about right for the Evo 4.4 though they will need a subwoofer if you're going to play similar to Pink Floyd or BPO or Emerson lake and Palmer.. these speakers were made for classical music listening not for the
Looooved your introduction, lots of energy. Got me excited about hearing these speakers.
I have the 4.3. As stated here, really well built. In black they look a bit more subtle as the surrounds blend in.
Are they warm?
yes@@marcusaurelius2988
For the money they are great speakers these Wharfedales EVO.4.4. In Britain we are lucky we do get them cheaper.
How much?
Another exciting review looking forward to the next video 😃. What a fabulous looking speaker and a great price tag. Happy listening 🎧😀👍
A bit too good salesman.... we will finished to beleive that this speakers are the best on earth!

I've got a pair hooked up to a CXA81, they sound great.
How are they for listening to metal? I mostly listen to rock and metal from Bon Jovi to AC/DC and Metallica. But I also need them for home theater 🙂

Evo 4.4 vs fyne f501?
Can you compare that to fyne f501sp ?
Hi, great review
Will they perform well with an avr such as medium/high tier denon/marantz , or do they require am external power amp ?
thanks
They would be absolutely fine running on an avr amplifier , especially the likes of denon or marantz
Thanks for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it
They also do a dedicated center speaker for just that
I'm after something like these as an upgrade from my Mission 761i which I've had for years 😂 will these pair well with my Rega Brio ?
Gear
Turn off the sound, and watch!!!
Looks like a fake "fight master" ,😂😂😂😂😂
How would you compare these to the kef q950
