I got actual chills from this trailer. World of Goo was my favorite WiiWare game of all time and it's awesome to see it come back with the amazing music and everything.
I was all over the first one when it released when I was a teenager. Not just because of what it was, but also because of what it meant for the future of video games. The idea that it was possible to make games outside the circuit of established developers, free to let your imagination run wild in directions never seen before was very powerful for me at the time. Thank you for being a source of inspiration for a generation of indie developers. Can't wait to play the sequel !

One of my earliest memories is playing this game with my mom at 2 years old and getting the OCD for the level leap hole. it's been 13 years since then and i never stopped playing this game. i remember scrawling ideas for worlds and ball types in my notebooks as a kid, i've explored every nook and cranny of every level, i've practiced for hours into the night to get a couple more balls on levels where it shouldn't be possible to, and today i was lurking on the goofans forums and randomly found someone say there was a world of goo 2 trailer and link it. i thought it was going to be a meme or something but... i don't even know what to say. i am actually in shock. you're making dreams come true, kyle.
*YES!* I’ve played World of Goo for years, and I never thought that a sequel would happen in my lifetime. But now… I am ECSTATIC for this game and WILL BE BUYING IT even if it costs my entire life savings! Thank you, Tomorrow Corporation and 2D Boy, for reinventing my childhood and breathing new life into one of my favorite games of all time.
despite all the brilliant games that came out over the course of my 30 years' gaming experience, world of goo is the most emotionally impactful game I have ever played, and to this day just thinking about the soundtrack makes me tear up. this announcement is indescribable. THANK YOU, Kyle Gabler, 2D boy, and everyone who made this new installment a reality. you've touched the lives of millions, 15 years ago and today ❤

I missed this, and all news around it, a friend told me yesterday and I somehow remembered how you (Kyle) was very kind in an email exchange a long time back, this was during my school years, today I'm working at Mojang and having a blast, World of Goo 1 still holds a dear place in my heart, I love the music in so many of your games! Thanks for making me get chills from seeing the trailer with the nostalgic music!
Oh, how I've been waiting for this moment! World of Goo 2, here it is, the return to the world that captured my heart many years ago. I remember spending countless hours, stacking my little balls into magnificent structures, overcoming obstacles, and solving puzzles. It was something magical - the music, the atmosphere, the story... Everything in World of Goo was so unique and beautiful. And now, World of Goo 2 emerges! My inner child is jumping with joy, reminiscing about those unforgettable moments when I tried to save every little ball creature. I can't wait to dive back into this world of physics-based puzzles and exploration. I'm confident that the developers will continue to amaze us with their talent and attention to detail. World of Goo has become a true classic, and I'm grateful to the development team for not forgetting about their fans. This trailer has already filled my soul with nostalgia and memories, and I'm ready to embark on new adventures awaiting me in World of Goo 2. It will be a true return to a world where anything is possible as long as there is belief and a strong desire to move forward. I'm eagerly looking forward to it!
LET'S GOO!!! Adore the first one, was probably the first indie game i ever played. As i got older, i appreciated everything about the game's world and story more and more, and realized just what a treasure the original was. Now, a sequel? A DIRECT sequel? I'm over the moon. How will you amuse, yet terrify us? What bangers will be on the soundtrack this time? Will there be a Sign Painter? Cant wait!
I think you mean the telescope operator! Speaking of, I wonder how MOM’s doing… Really, all the classic characters.. World of goo corporation (or whatever’s left of it). The beautiful living electric generator. The regurgitation pumping station (we did steal its eyes after all). F/Misty. The 99 cent store guy. The original sign painter.
No kidding this game meant so much to young me I wrote a fanfiction of a hero exploring every single level and journaling it. Can't say it was the next Odyssey, but it was from pure love! Couldn't be more excited!
We, the community of this beautiful game, from wherever you come from, goofans, og players and people who had the opportunity to play World Of Goo, we all are here, watching how this masterpiece returns with the most epic sequel ever . I LOVE YOU 2D BOY AND TOMORROW CORPORATION❤❤❤
Words cannot describe the rush of nostalgia and excitement in the moment where I realized what this was. I was very half-mindedly glancing at the game awards while setting up for a D&D session, and the second my eyes glanced over and saw a goo ball, my heart was so indescribably happy. Seeing 2D Boy pop up, hearing a remix of a song from my young childhood. My little brother has autism and had a hyperfixation on World of Goo for like 2 full years when we were in elementary school, and lemme tell you my excitement was nothing compared to the look on his face. It felt like being a kid again, thank you 2D Boy
Same, I made so many Gooballs out of clay sculptures as a child, iconic great designs but incredibly simple to recreate, perfect fit for little kid me when I was doing my art projects!

This game kept me company during my first divorce back in 2009. The art style, music, game mechanics all come together to make one of the most macabre and beautiful game experiences ever. I'm so excited for part 2.
One of absolute pioneers of indie gaming way back then, World of Goo is still one of very best games ever made. It's basically perfect in its own rights and I never thought there would be a sequel. Seems that there's much more to do with the goo, so being ironically true to the original game's premise... its time to milk them for all their worth and I'll love it every second of it all over again!
World of Goo 1 was a childhood game for me. Alongside others like Mario Galaxy and Wii Sports, it is a game I remember fondly from growing up with the Wii. Ever sence then, I've wanted a sequel but had accepted that we probably won't and World of Goo will remain a classic with no sequel. But now it does. I still remember getting the Steam version and modding the heck out of it because I wanted something new. Heck, I made levels for it that are now unfortunately lost to time. Maybe getting so nostalgic and emotional like this is stupid, but I don't care. I am so bloody excited.
It is the best event of that dirty year. I've been waiting it for all my conscious life... I have tears in my eyes. This game is one of the brightest memories of my childhood. Without emotions, it was one of the most important ptojects in indie industry. Thank you, 2D Boys!

Didn't expect this! I don't know if I'm ready for more emotional goo story but I'm definitely going to buy this instantly. Even if I am absolutely terrible at solving these puzzles.
I'm so hyped for this, one of the best puzzle games of all time is finally getting a sequel lets go!!! Hope they give us a level editor with this one cause community made puzzles would be a lot of fun.
I was 5 when I first watched my father playing WOG on our first PC. I'm so happy to see this game would have a continuation, I hoped it would all those years. Thank you for your work, Kyle!
No way, is one of my favorite childhood games of all time getting a *SEQUEL?!* This has to be the most warranted continuation to a game, _of all time._ I am beyond happy, beyond hyped and beyond excited. I'm sure it's not going to disappoint! All the new mechanics that this trailer features and many more that *could* make it in and get added, and the potential of them all seems LIMITLESS! The flowing goo and the cannons that were showcased here ESPECIALLY are looking to be absolutely amazing, and all the environments and creatures are fabulous as well! Will definitely pick this up once it's out. This is something I never really expected to happen but something I definitely unbelievably glad got a chance to actually exist. I genuinely indeed CAN'T believe it's been 15 years!
I was a kid when i first played the first one and i never thought i will play some more of this masterpiece and now here we are! I am in tears that i am so happy. Looking forward to release!

Oh my god. I audibly gasped and went "WHAT!?" when I saw this. World of Goo is literally one of my favorite games of all time; I have spent so much time obsessing over the game, its story, and of course, its soundtrack. In the unlikely event that you see this, thank you, Mr. Gabler, for making one of the greatest games ever.
After this played the game awards was all down from there. They were still some interisting and cool anouncements, but nothing topped this. Thank you for making this. All the best to all of you.
I cannot believe it! It has the same feeling as in the first game. The description makes it clear that will work on Linux. And I hope it will be available on Steam.

100%
I got actual chills from this trailer. World of Goo was my favorite WiiWare game of all time and it's awesome to see it come back with the amazing music and everything.
I was all over the first one when it released when I was a teenager. Not just because of what it was, but also because of what it meant for the future of video games. The idea that it was possible to make games outside the circuit of established developers, free to let your imagination run wild in directions never seen before was very powerful for me at the time.
Thank you for being a source of inspiration for a generation of indie developers. Can't wait to play the sequel !
This is no exaggeration. They're one of the first people who shaped the indie gaming world that we have today. The fucking legends.
yes, the importance of this game and its brother, super meat boy, cannot be understated. They were the beginning of the indie scene.
I don't have the words to describe how amazing it is that this is happening. This just made my entire year. Seriously. Thank you 2D Boy and Tomorrow Corporation.
SAME. This trailer changed my life
I LOVE world of goo. The atmosphere, the art, the music…thank you SO much for making a sequel.
kyle, with all my heart, thank you for coming back to world of goo.
The first part of World of Goo is one of my favorite indie games I've ever played. I still listen to the soundtrack from the first part and consider it one of the best. The announcement of the second part just shocked me. I will be buying the game as soon as it comes out.
Never Expected this game to have a sequel
BUT HOOO MAN
I'll play this day 1
Thank You to all the Development Team
More hype than any AAA game
This title seemed as impossible as breathing underwater, yet here it is! I’ve always adored the first game, from The interesting mechanics, the awe inspiring soundtracks, the unique art style, everything in this game makes me so happy, and I’m so happy to see this world again. Seeing this trailer made me grin ear to ear, my deepest thanks to 2D BOY and Tomorrow corporation, for making the stuff of my dreams.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE!!! AFTER 15 YEARS, WORLD OF GOO 2!!!!!!!!!
HOLY SHIT ITS FINALLY HAPPENING?????
This was my favorite game on the Wii as a kid, I cannot express how excited I am that you guys are making a second one that looks absolutely amazing.
The Wiiware world of goo days🥹
It's a miracle, moments like these bring a sincere smile to my face. This is what makes life worth living.
Cant wait!
In one of the clips, we actually see a sign. Maybe The Sign Painter returns
I think you mean the telescope operator!
Speaking of, I wonder how MOM’s doing…
Really, all the classic characters.. World of goo corporation (or whatever’s left of it). The beautiful living electric generator. The regurgitation pumping station (we did steal its eyes after all). F/Misty. The 99 cent store guy. The original sign painter.
This game played a huge part in people even knowing what an indie game was.
Legit the video game that got me into video games. Loving the new updates to physics. The gameplay possibilities would certainly be endless!
WE’RE ALL IN IT TOGETHER
Words cannot describe my happiness upon hearing this announcement
me too!!!
I finally thought that the game died but it revived 😢
He said it, he writes the original posters: they are sensible
"World of goo 2" was a google search I hadn't typed in years ...
Imagine my surprise and just pure hype !
I will be buying this.
10 days
When I was a child I was OBSESSED with the original game to the point of drawing dozens of pieces of fan art, I’m so excited for the sequel!
Same, I made so many Gooballs out of clay sculptures as a child, iconic great designs but incredibly simple to recreate, perfect fit for little kid me when I was doing my art projects!
I’m a talentless artist, but even then I’d draw my little goo structures as a kid. I was so obsessed with this game 😂
MY GOD I NEVER EXPECTED THERE WOULD BE A SEQUEL, I'VE BEEN PLAYING WORLD OF GOO SINCE 2009
I never thought there would be a sequel after all these years!! WOOOOOOOO!
I was 8 years old when I first played World Of Goo, now I'm 22 years old now that this sequel is coming!!
@Kyle Gabler I've been playing your game and listening to your music since I was 15. I am now turning 30. Definitely buying your new game!
This game kept me company during my first divorce back in 2009. The art style, music, game mechanics all come together to make one of the most macabre and beautiful game experiences ever. I'm so excited for part 2.
It was my first indie game, and one of the best for me today !
I am so unimaginably happy right now, I can die knowing that I’ve played the sequel to the best goo related game ever conceived
I've heard of TommorowCorp,but not 2DBoy. . .
@@BrunoMaricFromZagreb they are literally the authors of original World Of Goo (0:30)
btw, Нrvati-pozdrav iz Rusijе!!💪🇭🇷💪🇷🇺
this game and soundtrack have changed my entire perception of things in life forever
Ive never been more excited in my life. My dad and I used to play the original for hours together!
Our lost childhood game is finally (and literally) returning from the ashes...
This was the game that made me realize how much missing potential there was between flash games and full sized video games.
Beautiful words
It is the best event of that dirty year. I've been waiting it for all my conscious life... I have tears in my eyes. This game is one of the brightest memories of my childhood. Without emotions, it was one of the most important ptojects in indie industry. Thank you, 2D Boys!
I was literally crying watching this trailer. After all those years we got WoG2... Finally
The music, unforgettable, it's incredible, I love it

"One of the three dimensions may have been lost due to a catastrophic rounding error."
I see the old game's sense of humour hasn't faded with time!
It's like visiting a VERY old friend after such a long time.
I genuinely can't believe this, it's the best thing ever.
Can remember playing the first world of goo on my iPad when I was just a kid this brings me back
Didn't expect this! I don't know if I'm ready for more emotional goo story but I'm definitely going to buy this instantly. Even if I am absolutely terrible at solving these puzzles.
KYLE YOU MADE MY DECADE
I'm so hyped for this, one of the best puzzle games of all time is finally getting a sequel lets go!!! Hope they give us a level editor with this one cause community made puzzles would be a lot of fun.
Decided to take a look at this game on Netflix and Wii. It's better than I expected
world of goo is one of my top 10 favorite games to this day. this is now my most anticipated game of 2024.
I’m shocked. I don’t believe my eyes, this game of my childhood and I’m so happy, Thank all of you guys. Kyle, 2D BOYS and tomorrow corporation. I’m cry
Oh my god. I audibly gasped and went "WHAT!?" when I saw this. World of Goo is literally one of my favorite games of all time; I have spent so much time obsessing over the game, its story, and of course, its soundtrack. Hell, I've even spent loads of time thinking about what I would make in a sequel. I never thought this would actually happen. This is the most exciting news I've received in a while.
In the unlikely event that you see this, thank you, Mr. Gabler, for making one of the greatest games ever.
I am crying right now, so many good memories from the past. I can't wait for this game to be released after all of those years.
I was literally freaking out when i saw this! I honestly thought they weren't gonna make a sequel.
GTA 6 announcement left me cold as a stone.
Now this... THIS is a sequel announcement that fills my hearth with joy. I think only a Half Life 3 announcement could have topped that.
