Awesome Vid, I have all of these lenses except for the 10-18mm. I look forward to getting that one. The scenery is gorgeous as well, kind of looks like Hoover Dam here in Columbus, OH.
This was very helpful. I'm debating the 24mm vs the 10-18mm for starting a RUclips channel (I'm on the kit lens with a t5i right now) so this was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Nice to see the comparison on lenses i have but due to the weather have not gotten out much. I use my Canon 10-18 for landscape shots.I go to alot of car shows and its great there as i can get close and get most of the car and not all the people around it. I also have the new Canon 35mm macro. Gives not only great close ups but also works great as a fixed 35mm. Got the Canon 24mm but have only been able to use it on indoor test shots. From watching your video i think i am going to really like that lens. Thanks again.
Cheers Aaron! I love your review style and format. I shoot an EOS LS2, 77D and I have the lenses you reviewed. This video was "real-world" for the new user or more experienced user that wants to get an idea of the performance and capabilities of Canon's APS-C offerings. Your video review style of the lenses gives more of an accurate, in-camera/unedited view of these lenses. I would also like to see a review on the EF 40mm 2.8...it is in-between the 50mm and the 24mm, and reasonably priced. Again, thanks for your reviews.
I originally planned on purchasing just the T7i body and a budget high zoom lens and maybe the 24mm for indoor video/photography. Then I came across a T7i bundle on Amazon that came with the 18-55mm (as they all do) but also the newer 55-250 STM and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm really, really enjoying the 250mm zoom (400mm ff equivalent) for wildlife photography. Just the camera and that particular lens would have cost me $1050 plus tax. I got the bundle for $50 less, saved an additional $50 or whatever on taxes, and got all the extras like 2 SD cards, decent quality camera bag, and maybe 1 or 2 other useful things. At this point, I just need to start borrowing lenses from my many photography friends before I settle on a third lens. That said, I really enjoy your many videos demonstrating the different lenses and letting that speak for itself but I also enjoy the commentary and agree mostly with your assessments. Look forward to future content.
Got the 18-55 with the camera, 50 as well and 24. They are all great. Next is 10-18 as we have a travel channel and that wide angle will be very useful. After that is the 55-250, but only when we hit 1000 subs 😂 as a form of celebration. Thank you for the video.
Good to see you back. These are the exact lens kit I have with the addition of 18-135mm. Great video. I also haven't found the usage for 10-18mm too except for it being a wide angle for blogging which I dont do. I really bought it for landscape but find it a bit too wide and not enough zoom. How much was your Sigma lens? Take care.
+hotbezee76 whats up! Good to be back on. So I got a really good deal on the Sigma with a sale and gift certificates, but it's regularly around $800. I'm starting to think it's worth every penny and more! But it took about 10 hours of calibration, no exaggeration there. Now it is amazing.
for the 24mm lens u said no image stabilization. However the Camera has built in IS. Did u try that? Great vid comparison. I like the 10-18 because I can make videos close to the camera and get great audio while not looking like Im to close.
Aaron, which lens do you recommend for an indoors tight area? I love the 50mm but in the shooting area if my house on my Canon 800D the subjects are too large for that lens. Thnx
I use the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 indoors. It's a little pricey, but it will and has outlasted my camera. I still have the T7i, but upgraded to the 90D. The 18-35mm is by far my favorite lens on a crop sensor camera.
@@FitsandFun Thanks Aaron, and congrats on your new 90D upgrade. I had thought that the 18-35 kit lens as not as good a lens as others. Are there variations in this model? So the pancake 24 would not be good for my tight inside space, (guess I just like the name). Yep, my budget can't handle expensive for the Sigma after just getting my camera and the 50 mm and the 55-200 mm zoom.
Sir i also own a t7i..... What you do is really helpful to people like me.... Thanks for all that...... Sir i had a question should i go with canon 40mm f2.8 or 50mm 1.8 for my t7i. Which is sharper in images.....
+Hasnain Mohiuddin I've never used the 40mm. But I hear it is really sharp. I'd recommend the 50mm to most people simply to learn the f1.8. Using the 50mm and how to utilize the f1.8 has taught me more about photography then anything else I've tried. It really is a different way to shoot, and offers so many options. So not sure if this helps, but the 50mm is amazing.
I really appreciate these videos man. Thank you so much
Cool video! I neeeed some more of these lenses ugh!

It's Hoover Allright, great place!
Aarons Practical Reviews Thats great! 😊👍

Andre Keuck the 10-18mm would be better for video.
24 got no image stabilisation (we just got it), but it is excellent in low light and the wide angle is pretty good.
Great video.. I like that ten to eighteen... I have the t7i also and its a really nice camera
+Tech Time The 10-18mm is by far the most interesting I think, I'm really looking forward to learning how to use it. Neat angles and perspectives.
Great video I need the 50mm
Bro... I have been watching your videos.... Really good all of them and super honest

Good Shoot out. I need that 10-18
+TutoElectro Thanks man, it is a fun lens. Looking forward to shooting with it in the spring.
your video made me go and buy a 24mm and 10-18mm :)
+Meek Acumen Two great options!
Couldn't decide between the 24mm and the 10-18mm, I think I made my decision after watching this video. THANKS A TON MATE! :D
Appreciate the videos! I have the T7i as well and I’m always curious what each lens would look like. This is pretty much my exact line up as well.

+Josh Barea Wow, that is a great deal. These things add up quickly. Glad you can stand my rambling, just having fun talking camera stuff.
24mm is my favourite paired with 55-250mm thats all i need and i have 50mm too but not much used.

I'm looking to get a 10-18 for my goal of real estate photography. I'm thinking about a 24 or 32mm for product photography.
I already have the 18-55mm lens ang planning to buy another one. What should I choose, the 10-18mm or 55-250mm?

Thanks! I do keep the digital IS on all the time, and it does help slightly on the 24mm. Without it the video is really bumpy.
Damn thanks for sharing Sigma rules !

The 24mm f2.8 is definitely better than the kit lens. It's not bad at all indoors. And it's about 1/5th the price of the Sigma 18-35mm.
@@FitsandFun Awesome, thnx!

Fits and Fun thanks alot sir. Is 50mm 1.8 stm sharp compared to 18-55 f4-5.6 kit lens.
+Hasnain Mohiuddin absolutely, it's not far behind the 40mm, the 50mm shot at around f7 is unbelievably sharp.
Would it be reasonable for one to own a 24mm and a 40mm?
Or all of these lenses lol
Sure, the more the merrier. The 24mm f2.8 was made specifically for crop sensors to mimic what the 40mm f2.8 looks like on a full frame.
24 mm is the best , just use a tripod then talk....done. Or use glidecam
