This is so cool (and right to the point which is appreciated). One thing that will make this much easier is applying an expression to the X rotation. I wanted to increment by 20 degrees so I have 18 layers. Simply applying index * 20 as an expression to the X rotation will handle the rotation of each object without having to do it manually. I've only run through half of your video so far so I apologize if this is addressed later in the tutorial.

Nicely explained. How did you get the reflections on the squares?
For the squares the specular shininess is increased all the way to 100%. The rest of the set up is the exact same as in the tutorial!
