Great video dude. Hikaru can be nice to fans and stuff, but I actually like all the belittling things he’s said to his competitors lol. He’s no saint, far from it, and I think other top players are well within reason to dislike him, but as a fan I honestly like him for it
@@mortalchess haha he’s a big jobava London guy so I like his chess. Don’t like taking sides though, I mean he definitely beat Magnus, so the irony of Hikaru wrongly accusing Hans only to have Kramnik have his own mental breakdown about cheating just makes it all funny. & now I can’t wait for Jospem vs Kramnik in otb blitz 🫢
@@mortalchess The guys from ChessDojo also said this. They think that its actually that Hikaru is the greater pull for Magnus to return to the world championships than Alireza.
@mortalchess Hikaru as champion might legitimately be the only thing that could motivate Magnus to get back into the grind. Let's be honest. Magnus is the favorite in any tournament he enters, because he's Magnus.
Love Nakamura nonetheless. Yes he has problems. No one is perfect. I know people who met him they all said he was always nice. And pretty sure most GM's respect him regardless of his behaviour. He worked his ass off to get to where he is and now he is successful and enjoying life. Now the candidates is ahead I wish him the best of lucks.
this is interesting to me, I only started paying attention to the chess world at about 2020, I didn't know hikaru was disliked by other GMs and considered toxic, and then him saying that "feeling it was me against the world fueled me", makes think of the current Hans Niemann situation
Tons of people say this. John Bartholomew, David Howell, Eric Hansen, everyone has a story about Hikaru being unsportsmanlike. I dunno, I think it makes chess more entertaining. I’m an adult, don’t need a role model lol, I’m here to be entertained, others’ feelings be damned 😮
I think he's a great person but like he said in his lex Fridman podcast, having his life solely dependent on OTB chess really made him toxic. Having his source of income diversified over the years made him care less and ironically even better.
I REALLY enjoyed making this one....Leave a like👍
hii can you make one for Nepo?

lol thanks man, that's an interesting point of view. I take it you're a hans niemann fan as well.

@@mannylokzzzLmaooo that would be funny. Josepm would f*** old kramnik up and kramnik, who is mentally unstable, would accuse him of cheating
@@Blinkers2007GameDev it’s actually happening in Madrid in June. Hosted by Gotham and pepe Cuenca. A bunch of OTB and computer blitz games
@@mannylokzzz Lessgo he won
This video is already so good and will become 100× better if he becomes world champion.
Yeah fr!!! Lmao
That’s quite unlikely
@@Ryu53898 yeah now I don't even want him to
i love this man whatever world says
Sick edit, Hikaru is definitely experiencing a career resurgence since his return otb in 2022, compared to him falling off in 2019
Him winning the world championship would be amazing for chess
@@mortalchess Yes! I agree
Thank god we have magnus to humble this man.
#ToxicHikaruIsTheBestHikaru
3:25 If we didnt have Magnus, would Hikaru be as he is today? I'm not so sure...
imagine, hikaru goes on to win the world championship and then Magnus decides to play the next candidates an challenges him🤩🤩🤩😍

It's okay Naka-chan. My whole life is a blunder.
lol, mine too
Mine too kind of, but lets keep thriving
Don't worry bro we love u
What a beautiful story. I wish he had won the candidates. Hope he does it next year
Nice edit, the coolest edit of chess I’ve seen
wow thanks man, comments like yours keep me going!
Absolutely great edit brooo✨✨
thanks man
Damn this rlly makes me pumped for him in the candidates literally doesn’t care and gunna win it
i'm glad you liked it man, Candidates 2024. ive got a different feeling about this one

I hope he wins too, chess needs characters like his. we may even see a hikaru vs magnus world championship match if he wins
My point exactly!

yah his story is an interesting one, imagine going from most hated GM in the world to now most loved GM in the world
Great video loved it ❤
Thanks man, I'm thinking of making more of this type video. Maybe one on magnus next.
loosing to vidit moments ago was cruel .I hope he bounces back
My two favorite chess players are Hikaru and Hans
lol controversial... I like
Love the man
One thing i really like about this guy is how dubious his openings are. Bro picks the most provocative openings and turns into an engine to prove it
when you are 1000 elo higher than your opponent lol
We live in a world where hans is more toxic then hikaru right now lmao what a redemption for hikaru.
This is a awesome video!!!
thanks man, im glad you liked it
0:30 who is getting thrown into the cabinet?
Is this a secret gotham account?
lol, if gotham was from Zimbabwe
You calling me toxic boi?
lol, nice profile pic
Great video
thank you, I'm glad you liked it
And he would have won the candidates too if it wasn't for Gukesh deciding that he was going to get the world championship% glitchless world record 😂
You should make one for hans
great vid
thanks man
Skip this video,he is a streamer
No one hated, name is hikaru
For me he's a world champion
let's hope he wins the candidates, and faces Ding for the world championship
@@mortalchess Ding won't play
What’s happening at 0:29?
and he literally doesn't care
lol, I wanted to put that in the thumbnail.
is hikaru really bad as a person?
I hope not man, but you know what they say, never meet your heroes.

Michael Jordan was a prick too. Winners have haters
Erick is such a cry baby
lol
he made sure he would rack up money making a video slandering Hans Niemann, i love GMHikaru for his brilliant games but bro he really is toxic
got slapped with a lawsuit as a result lol
Lol get a job dude.. creating a full documentation over a hate for someone u have..
lol, try watching the whole video. dude
It pains me you could not tell by the music and the title that you thought this was a complete Hikaru roast video.
