Hey Brandon, another great video.
You really need to stop second guessing yourself. When you go to do something it's obvious that you put a lot of thought into everything you do and it shows in your work. All the items you purchased from Amazon worked great so no need to say you should have done something or purchased something different. You're a master of your craft, own it.
Outstanding!
Thank you so much for your kind words and positive attitude. I appreciate you man! 👍
I agree….can really tell he cares about his work…sometimes it could be taken as such…but seems to shines as a conscious person.
Bro. Brandon,
I love the content of your posts.
I primarily sign on to hear your take on welding, but I really love the fact that the "rounding" projects truly bring together your vision to fulfillment.
You are a clever and gifted man of God. Don't let anyone or any negative commentary dissuade you from your mission or vision.
Your twin brother of a different mother, Tim from the lower deserts of Arizona.
PS. Your vision was well thought out; may I suggest that Harbor Freight have grommet kits. Sleeved wires wear through by the constant friction of our rough desert roads. A rubber grommet will ensure longer wire/sleeve life during travel and make the initial harness pull so much smoother. Just saying.
Thank you so much Tim 🙏 the grommets will be going in for sure. Have a great weekend buddy!
The hinge side location for your switches was a better choice, nicely done Brandon 👍😁
I think so too!
Thanks for the 'Tapping' tip on the screws. I've seen YT vids with guys just cranking on the tap and NEVER backing it up to break off the cut thread chips.
Also you did a nice change moving the switch from the outside of the door to the hinge side. Much better.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Exactly! There is never a time to save money on a project than doing it correctly the first time! 👍😁
Absolutely!
Great Job Brandon-
For a grommet - you can use a piece of rubber fuel line to insulate the wires from the sharp Aluminium when you drill the holes and the rubber fuel line can be held in place with a dap of super glue.
That's a great idea! Thanks!
Pretty sweet! Those welds look real nice when you see the close ups! The week is complete now!
Thanks 👍
Yes sir, the more lights the better. I would have to put a light on every door especially the main entrance. I have a cheap solar powered motion light on the outside of my storage shed that is invaluable, and 2 - 2’ squared very bright led lights on the ceiling. When i go in there, i can see!
Spot on brother! Never too much light!
This is looking awesome, Brandon! I love the lighting!
Thanks man!
Dang right man!!!! Excellent!!!!! I can count on you showing me something new I need every Friday. Nothing more aggravating than having to deal with lighting troubles. You shouldn’t have any issues at all right here. Awesome job as always. Have a great weekend.
Thank you so much!!
What a neat feature to have with your lighting. If you need to use any butt splice connectors on the exterior, they have a marine type of heat shrink that has a compound inside which melts and seals the ends off creating a water/air tight seal. This keeps the elements from causing corrosion. You can get a kit at Harbor Freight for 5 or 10 bucks. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks for the info! I will be looking for that kit. I like stuff like that. Thanks for sharing.
I’m gonna hold out for a mig welder….
🤭
Looks nice and professional, good job done. It's getting nicer, most people will be jealous when th trailer is ready, greets.
Thanks man. I'm all about convenience. Get in, get it done, and get out out of there. I try to make it easy on myself. Just being able to find tools at night is a huge bonus
that's great, I've been using 12V LED's for the shop and carports and driveway lights. Under cabinet lights are a great commercial draw.
They sure are!
Another awesome video!! You willingness to anything is so great!! Doing some wiring in this video love it!!
Thank you so much man @kylejans8160 !!
Hey! You getting there! Looking good! Keep up the good work my friend!! 👌👍
Thanks Rudy! So close!
Great job, it's coming together great ,those lights are excellent, all the best to you and your loved ones
Thank you!
Nice work Brandon! Clean. Have a great weekend!
Thanks! You too Earl!
Great job, nice touch to your cabinets.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hey Brandon nice job
I done a similar project in my rv pantry. Before you couldn’t see anything inside even the toggle switch on the 12 v light fixture that was factory installed,so installed the motion sensing version of those same lights you installed. Works great, reach in Bam lights are on !!
Nice! 👌
Great job. Really coming together 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Thanks 👍
Lights, Camera, Action, ha ha ha!!! I bet its going to be Sweet!!! Liked#23 and Subscribed!!!
Thanks man I appreciate it
You should only switch the power wires (ac or dc), not the neutral or ground. By switching the neutral or ground, the electrical device is always powered and has more potential for shorts or shocks.
Great point. Thank you
Brandon, inside of the switch assembly is what's called a reed switch. It's a glass tube with contacts inside that are steel, and hermetically sealled and it is activated by the magnet. Your switches are both normally open and normally closed with a common screw on it. These, as you are probably aware, are typically made for burglar alarm systems. These switches are very light duty, meaning that for other types of applications, it will require a relay to operate higher current applications.
There are switches that can be inserted into a hole and are round, and might have been a better idea. The magnet also goes into a corresponding hole as well.
Great info! Thanks for sharing!
Looks good Brandon, turned out great , job well done. Fred.
Thanks Fred! 👍
Nice job I like the automatic lights
Thanks!
Good job. Your work methods are much better than mine. My method involves doing everything twice. Or more, depending on how fast I go.
Lol inwasnt always this structured. I know your pain
Great job Brandon! I may get some of those lights.
I am really happy with the quality for sure . Time will tell how they will hold up but they look solid👍
Always interesting videos. Thank you for sharing B !
My pleasure!
I love this idea it's awesome 👍
Thank you! @joelee563
Woop woop, IT'S FRIDAY🤗
Thanks David!
good job, looks nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great to watch you .
Thank you so much!
be cool for drawers as well.
Great point!
Looking good
Thanks 👍
The auto lighting is a nice feature. However, I thought switches were always installed in the hot lead, not the ground? Looking forward to the powder coated doors. Should look great.
Thanks. It seems to work ok though. Be sure to check out the rest of the videos in the series. It includes a shop tour showing the doors being powder coated and the process and many more. The trailer is done and in service
In regard to your comment about separating your job from others, my uncle had a phrase about that: “It only costs a nickel more to go first class”. Tim in northern TN
I love it! ❤️
i like the led lights
Thanks man I'm pretty happy so far. Time will tell on the durability but they look well built.
A plunger ground switch like the switch on car doors.
Now that you mention it, same idea
Lookin good.
Thank you!

Lol a sheer pin broke on our snowblower. I missed the punch I was trying to hit to drive it out ouch! It hurt
Do I have to replace the mig liner if I go up in wire size? I bought my first mig welder. The MIG welder is currently set up for solid wire 0.6. I want to do flux core .9. I have a 0.9 tip and the .9 feeder wheel. Do I need to increase the size of the MIG wire liner, or does the mig liner that came pre-installed with six solid wire good for the 0.9 flux core? What liner should I use for a flux/core .9 (.035) wire?
Generally the liners that come on most machines will accept .023 up to .045 wire so you should be good. @mrfrostbite2020
What's the brand and ordering information for pencil flame piezoelectric propane torch? Excellent post!
Thanks! It's just a cheapie I picked up at Harbor Freight but it works great
Awesome
Thank you William
I've used LED strip with IR sensor to see if a door is open to light some cabinets in our Den. Any reason you went with contactors vs IR sensors?
My thoughts were that it might be triggered from things vibrating inside the cabinets as the trailer is being towed down the road
If you switch the ground and the wire breaks it could ground out and light stay on … possibly safer to switch the hot…
Thats a great point! Thank you!
FyI..
You will need to space out that bottom part of the switch to match the top one to work properly.
It should be good now :)
@@BrandonLund later in the video you decided to move it to the hinge side on each door.
You can move one of them further back to make the magnetic weaker and the light will come on sooner when opening.
But it's looking good.
Hope to some day win one of you test machines.
Thanks and have a great day
Scott
Just like the refrigerator a little man turns the lights on when you open the doors..
Hahhahahahaha pretty much lol
Just a suggestion, but not sure….are these mounted on the inside of the trailer?….inside might be better….
If you want the light outside and put the contacts on the inside away from weather….you can make a larger hole for the wire to snake inside and have a rubber grommet to be installed into the hole
Sorry, i didnt realize that was inside….whoops🤭

Брендон, ты откуда? А то мелькает информация в интернете, что в США беда какая то, в Огайо вроде. Наши СМИ молчат, а интернет страшное рассказывает ...
I am from Maine. On February 3, a freight train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. The 150-car train operated by Norfolk Southern was carrying 20 cars of highly flammable toxic chemicals, and ignited a fire a quarter-mile long that burned for days. On February 6, officials with the Ohio National Guard and the U.S. Department of Defense, worried about the tankers that hadn’t already combusted, instituted a “vent and burn” operation, a controlled ignition they claimed would allow the chemicals to safely dissipate. About 1,500 people had already been evacuated after the derailment, and hundreds more followed suit just before a fireball erupted, sending a black plume of smoke over the region. Many evacuees returned home a few days later, and reports soon began circulating about people experiencing a burning sensation in their throat and eyes, layers of soot, and creeks filled with dead fish. On Monday, ten days after the derailment, Transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg made a statement after multiple members of Congress demanded a stronger federal response - even a congressional inquiry. He expressed concern about the incident’s impact on families and said the National Transportation Safety Board has been investigating the cause of the catastrophe. A lot of information, changing information, and misinformation is flying around in the meantime.
