Summary 1) Look for documentation if any 2) If documentation is not enough ask senior developer 3) Bring the project locally and play with it - First look at the UI components - Starting from home page and then the required components in home and so on
Thanks man 👍 I'm trying to understand an open-source project, overwhelmed by the size of the project and can't understand anything due to to limited docs.
Focus on the Listener elements in the UI, such as a button. Choose one that relates to the functionality you want to understand. Inspect and grab the ID of that Listener from the front end code. Search for the ID in the back end code. Once you find the element in the back code then look for the associated function and just start tracing backwards from there
Curious.. So, since making this vid have you explored Ai based resources to assist with tasks like this? And if so, what has been your experience. Useful? Not so much?? Over-hyped??
That's a really hard question to answer, because as a freelancer your income is consistent of multiple factors, including your ability to close and generate clients, as well as your skill and your ability to retain those clients, as well as how much you're able to charge per client.
