    What is there to be embarrassed about? When I see Prius drivers I automatically assume they are smarter than most of the other drivers on the road.

      LOL You're probably right, Cam Life, but Chris was raised on old school V8s so his interpretation gets skewed at times. We have to admit it's rather impressive to hear him state his appreciation toward this Prius and how it drives. Words that definitely shouldn't be taken lightly. We appreciate your comments and thanks for watching!

    Love my 2016 G4 Prius! Best tank so far was 623.6 miles on 10.1 gallons of gas. 62 mpg, and that’s here in Pittsburgh/West Virginia. I really enjoy the quiet drive and the smoothness of the suspension.

      Wow! Amazing mileage, Austin Kinser. Thanks for sharing and for watching!

      We bet. We know people who are still driving the first-gen examples. Thanks for watching, Lance Fisk!

    Thanks Chris, good review. I'm curious of the about where the sympathetic rattles came from, with the JBL sound system turned-up?

    • @AutoAcademics
      @AutoAcademics  6 лет назад +1

      The noise was coming from both the driver's and passenger's front door panels. The settings for Bass were about 2 "clicks" above neutral, which is well within reason, yet we'd still hear it at moderate volumes. This particular car did have 4k miles of journalistic use on it when we received it so if this is an anomaly that only happens with our tester, that could be the culprit. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

    Thanks for a great Review.Considering a Prius non plug in myself.But i don't like the bathroom white interior in this specific vehicle.

      Thank you, Tomas Nordin. As Chris stated, the white does take some getting used to, but the car is still very impressive for the price, especially when achieving over 50 mpg. Thanks for watching!

      Thanks, AbsoluteMdot! The styling of the Prius has always been different, but it definitely looks better this time around in our eyes. Thanks for watching!

    If you want a hybrid hatchback, but don't like the space age interior or CVT, take a look at the Hyundai Ioniq. It has a normal interior, dual clutch 7-spd automatic, an gets similar MPG. A little less expensive too and the hybrid battery is warrantied for the life of the car.

      We have a 2018 XSE in the works, canonlybeme4life, but we'll have to see what we can do about getting a hybrid example. Stay tuned!
