Many people have said that NCT does not follow the trends because they are the trendsetters of kpop. And people also says that when you're listening to NCT's music, it makes you feel like you're the coolest person ever 😅
NCT giving 4th gen music vibes because they are THE trendsetters of this type of music, and it’s not my personal opinion, a lot of boygroups who debuted later released “neo” music according to netizens, so yeah NCT have their own style and influence on industry

In old albums SM always had put intro or interlude tracks like this and they fit perfectly into album, I even regret that it’s not a full regular song
I can't even lie, NCT interludes are all bangers. Regular to Irregular is the best one for me.

NCT is the BEST! More, please and yes dance practices for sure. The Lemonade video you saw is called a "track" video - edited (shortened) for promotional purposes. Also, the dubstep part of Favorite is not in the actual song, but it works well for performances.✨Love your reactions!
In case no one else commented it, Favorite is produced by Darkchild, legendary producer of the late 90's to 00's... he worked with all the big acts at the time. I think that's why it has a bit of a retro feel. The militant dubstep dance break is not in the album version, but if you watch the dance practice, there's a whole intro part for performances that makes the dance break seem not so out of place.
Also, Lemonade is a track video which is a sample sized promotional video for a b-side off the Sticker album... the track is longer on the album.
I really hope you watch the Sticker premiere stage video for Lemonade and another b-side called Bring The Noize, it's got that kinda filthy beat you seem to like. 😄 It's about how they've been labeled as "noise music" so much that they're like, fxxk it you want noise, hater... we'll bring you noise!! The choreo is really cool too and was created by group leader/member Taeyong.
The "Neo got my back, culture things, tech tech on my mind" is an interlude/intermission track on the NCT 2018 Empathy album... also happens to be my ring tone, so I hear it a lot. 😄 Makes incessant spam calls bearable, as I let them go to voice mail.

NCT interludes are fire
Like everything NCT does, it's all based on their dream concept. Hence, why in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" they are vampires and why you see them sleeping in the beginning and end of the MV. Jaehyun was bit by the vampire which is the girl they sing about and she is the one that turned them all into vampires. It's the intoxicating power of the vampire girl that has them enchanted, which is why they say "girl you're my favorite" in the lyrics. They are beguiled by her powers, which has them devoted to her.
This is also why you see them with supernatural vampire abilities like when they flash in and out as they transition between the members. (Often in romantic vampire stories they say the vampires have a shimmering effect.)
The butterfly is thought to represent the woman or vampire they are talking about in the song -- instead of turning into a bat, maybe she turns into a butterfly -- which is why you see the butterfly touching their hearts. You also will see a butterfly appear in several of SM's other groups' MVs, which is often used as a metaphor to represent a woman -- possibly representing a connection to the heart of the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline -- in each of the MVs, as a way to connect all of SM's storylines together. For example, in aespa's storyline starting in 2020 Ningning's symbol is a butterfly, which is thought to possibly be connected to the butterfly we see in EXO's debut "Mama" MVs from 2012, and it's even thought could be connected to the butterfly in SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong" MV from 2009. It also could be the butterfly that helps aespa navigate through Kwangya in aespa's recent "ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video, which would explain why we see a similar butterfly in all of SM's storylines. The butterfly appears to help everyone as they travel through Kwangya.
Some say the "girl" or "love interest" that EXO -- and possibly now the rest of SM's groups -- is always singing about and you sometimes see in their MVs is a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life and that is why they are always rescuing or protecting the girl, etc. And why all their songs are about being in love with someone or being controlled by the power of that person, like they talk about in "Favorite (Vampire)". Or how they talk about knowing they are bad news for the girl but they want her anyway and they can't help it, but in the end they know they might destroy her -- as they say in EXO's song "Monster," etc., etc. When you think of the girl as the heart of the Tree of Life the storyline and connections between the groups begins to unfold even more.
If you're impressed with NCT-127's dancing in their "Favorite (Vampire)" MV, just wait until you see their dance practice for the song.There's more to this choreography than what you see in the MV. There is an even more epic intro section that was added to the performance that is only in the dance practice.

SM actually hired a movie fight trainer and martial arts coach to teach the members of NCT-127 how to do the kicks, punches and use the nunchucks, etc. for their "Kick It" MV. If you really want to see how they filmed the MV and song, you should watch the behind the scenes of them recording "Kick It", ruclips.net/video/gv7jo80YKas/видео.html, and the behind the scenes of them filming the MV, ruclips.net/video/uO5Td-cDD-I/видео.html. You will be even more impressed when you see how much work and detail went into this MV.
This might even help you to get to know the members a little bit because they will use their names in the English subs when the members do the behind the scenes interviews while filming.
There are 9 members in "Kick it" -- Taeyong (leader of all of NCT, main rapper and dancer), Taeil (main vocalist), Johnny (lead vocalist and sub-rapper), Yuta (lead vocalist), Doyoung (main vocalist), Jaehyun (main vocalist and sub-rapper), Jungwoo (main vocalist), Mark (main rapper and dancer) and Haechan (main vocalist).

Most people don't get all the references to Bruce Lee in "Kick It" (Chinese/Korean title "Hero") even though everything is based on being like Bruce Lee -- hence why they say Bruce Lee like a hundred times in the song LOL -- and black and yellow are Bruce Lee's signature colors -- so, that is why "Kick It" used those colors. (Many say this MV reminds them of the Movie "Kill Bill," without realizing that movie is based on Bruce Lee-style action movies and is sort of a homage to Bruce Lee.) As you may know, the finger move on the side of their nose is a signature Bruce Lee move. Bruce Lee is a Chinese action hero, so even though this is one of the Korean sub-units of NCT, those are Chinese characters you see on the signs in the MV, etc.
NCT stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new/original) Culture Technology so all their songs have a Neo technology sound and feel that is meant to introduce a new style of Kpop culture to the world. NCT-127's "Lemonade" MV was short because it was a track video and not a regular MV. "Lemonade" was a b-side track on their Sticker album and SM produced track videos for all the b-side songs on this album, which are short version MVs for each of the songs.
You should now check out their dance practice video for "Lemonade." NCT are known for their dancing, as well as their vocals, and they have a dance practice video for almost everything they do.

I just saw them 2 days ago in Atlanta and they were AMAZING!
High-note belter with four lungs - Taeil, goosebump-inducing high-notes that sound otherworldly (especially in Favorite) - Doyoung, clear, pure high- note - Haechan (he's also the pink haired one in Lemonade you said who is that. Haechan is also in NCT Dream with Mark). I love NCT so much. I spent my first year as a kpop stan pretty much focused only on EXO and SHINee and I didn't think anyone could live up to them but younger brothers NCT are doing them so proud while also being entirely their own thing.
The dance break in Favorite is only in the video; it's not in the studio version.

I don't know if you have been informed but 'Neo Got My Back' song is available in NCT2018 album 'Empathy'. It's the first album that combined the whole NCT subunit, NCT127, NCT Dream and NCTU together.
