I remember hearing about him in high school around 90 and being compared to Hendrix..then I read in Guitar World that he suffered from drug abuse for 30 years and his music suffered for it but I am glad he made it through! Great playing!

Easy to see why he's being compared to Hendrix. He is a left handed player like Hendrix, but unlike Hendrix, who played a right handed guitar strung to left handed playing, Eric is playing a right handed guitar strung to RIGHT handed playing. Insane ;-) but boy can he play. He also does a lot of hybrid picking using both guitar pick and finger picking creating his own unique style.

I was there, too! But we were back a bit & off to the (stage) left and the sound was sub-optimal. Maybe you heard me yell "louder" a couple times! It got better about halfway thru but still was not as loud as it should've been. Thanks for posting!
