How do you get good at the reverse stuff the least expensive way lol? I want to but I don’t want to need to buy 5 quads so I can crash them all on a good day.

The secret is to use very resistant builds... If you want to become good with 5", using drones of different sizes will not help you much or in any case will not allow you to reach high levels because you need to train with the build you want to get good at.
Get a very resistant frame, design effective TPU protections, also for the lipos and you will do very little damage when you crash
