Yeah that’s very common for guys from less developed countries. My parents are immigrants, so I was taught from a young age to be highly suspicious and how to look for signs, but even then it’s still hard not to fall for it so I really feel for your cousin. The longer period and/or extensions, gives more time and reduces the number of actual marriages and permanent residency visas. With added time the Petitioner can better know the Beneficiary. Yeah because he was the one who literally threatened her and he can go to jail for that, so if he did end up calling the police, be would be the one that would arrested.
Did you not watch the video, she barged in the room, tried to kick him out the house (illegal eviction), then she tried to prevent him from calling the cops using physical force (pushed him down on the bed, knocked him over, grabbed his arm then chased him into another room and hit him [he posted it on instagram where he caught her on video punching him]) She probably would have gone to jail if she didn't run away, given that it is a felony in Georgia to prevent someone from calling the cops using physical violence and all.
To be fair, Luis wasn't wrong in either situation. In the first part, that conversation was ENTIRELY started by Olivia, she asked to be treated like an adult, not to "tattle" on her and Luis addressed her as an adult after she brought up the topic of that conversation. Basically told her it's your life and your choice. The second one could be debated on Luis locking himself in the guest bedroom while blasting music, but if you had a crazy woman who won't shut up with no way to leave at that moment, what would you be doing? Plus, busting in the room and shoving him around, grabbing him and considering she broke a nail, scratching him, is uncalled for and physically abusive. Luis is no saint himself, but Molly is just as bad, just in different ways.
I think that Molly & Luis problem was language barrier. He is not fluently in English and when try to communicate he just use his limited vocabulary. I don’t think he truly love Molly. Another thing is that Molly should it feel sure about him taking the responsibility of step-father before even bringing him to USA 🇺🇸. A step father never substitute a dad, but any responsibility that your wife has become yours. Another big issue was their age difference and him not having any kids of his own. How can he feel any sympathy with her when he doesn’t know what is been a Parent. Molly needs to learn to be a mother first then been a wife. She deserves to be happy, but when you are a mother your child safety, mental and health wellbeing come first then your happiness. Relationship are about balance so once you see a red flags you need to stop it or let it go. Definitely Luis was out of line when he talked to her daughter deeply about her daughter intention with the boyfriend, but once again I don’t understand why Molly daughter needs to spend time with her step dad when Molly is not present.

Years later I have re-watched the 90 Day Journey: Molly & Luis story and I can see all sides of the coin in this matter. My heart goes out to each and everyone of them. I for one do not think Luis used Molly for the Green Card.
I do believe there was an element of love that Molly and Luis had for each other. But the definition of love means different for everyone sadly.
Molly and Luis both wanted the version of each other that they experienced in the Dominican Republic.The vacation excitement, thrill and emotions they had for each other when they met.
They both had expectations of each other which were not realistic.
Everyone has lessons in life they must go through. I do believe this situation was a big wake up call for both Molly and Luis.
It seems many forget as much as there are many who would love to leave their country to live in the Western world where opportunities are more promising that Luis left everything behind for Molly i.e. his home, his family and friends, his job, and life as he knew it. Luis and Luis' family acknowledged Molly and her family prior to him coming to America and also when he was in America. Luis though he did not have the best approach of bonding with Molly's children tried to form a bond with them. Non verbally and verbally Molly's children and Molly's Dad shut him down.
Also important to note that parenting does not come naturally for everyone. Yes the cultural differences are very evident in this matter. I think one day when Luis may decide to be a father, he will better understand that his mannerism with Molly's children was out of line and wrong.
Some people are very mature for their age and some regardless of however young and old it may come at a later time than anticipated in life.
I feel for Molly because she wants love and sadly things are not as straightforward as she anticipated.
Her children need her and appear to like the current living situation and family they already have. I do not think they are quite as open for their Mother to embark on a journey of finding new found love with another quite as yet. I pick up Molly's children may not have a close bond with their father and are worried they will be misplaced. There are situations where this does happen and their worries are justified.
Also Luis needed her. He is like a fish out of his own habitat. He was completely out of his own element and when one is out of their own element it is expected that they may act slightly out of character and not as they intended.
Molly was pulled in different directions and it was hard to watch.
But it takes a big sacrifice upping and leaving all that you know. Not many would leave where they are to start a life over.
I am a victim of marriage fraud. Someone lied to me that they were British Citizen. We were in a relationship for three years and then he proposed. We got married and then the following day he said to me, "I don't love you, your not my type and I married you for papers, citizenship in this country. You will find someone else and need to get over yourself. These things happen and many people are doing this!"
I for one do not think Luis used Molly for green paper or citizenship. Molly actually kicked him out and said she did not want to be with him or married to him anymore.

He def used her for a green card and later when everything is revealed, thats the confirmation. He already had another woman in New Jersey. Nothing abt his demeanor said he loved Molly-he seemed to be tolerating the relationship and biding his time. And then he tried to provoke her to get physical with him. But all in all, Molly is the sick one, for caring more abt having a man than taking care of her children. Molly was an easy lick. Any man could tell how desperate she is. Plus she like nonwhite men, which makes her an even easier target.

I'm not about to say Luis is perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but this woman allowed a man to live in her home where she had children. If any child came to me and told me what Luis had said to her daughter as they played billiards? Game over, no questions asked. Putting any "partner" before the needs and safety of a child is disgusting. Being a parent means putting your children's lives first. I know I'm late to comment but I honestly think she pushed the responsibility of fatherhood to hard and fast. I don't think that was right. It's an adjustment for everyone involved and she just expected him to come in and be super dad right from the start. I realize he's a jerk but I can also see how he feels being instantly thrown into fatherhood. It's obvious that he's very overwhelmed being home with the kids all day by himself. He went from single to fatherhood overnight. That's a lot for anybody, especially a younger man.
