- Morgan Wade's debut album, "Reckless," dropped in March 2021. Roots2Rock was lucky to sit in on her concert at 5 Points Music Sanctuary, pre-Covid. The Country-Rocker as "Rolling Stone Magazine," calls her belts out her truth and fans love it. Now music lovers all over the country and finding out what Virginians already ready knew, Wade's music has depth, honesty and it rocks!

Found Morgan this week. Will never lose her again. WHAT a talent. What a voice. Once in a lifetime does a star this good emerge. Unbelievable.
This concert is going to be a piece of history. I just got home from a concert of about 1000 people featuring Morgan. She is rapidly becoming a star, she could be selling out much larger venues in a very short time.
Morgan Wade is already a Legend in Southwest Virginia. Love thus girl.

I just heard the wonderful Wilder Days single twice in the last couple of days on BBC Radio 2 here in England, and thought, "I have to find out who this is". So expected this to be a country/Americana gig, and it opens with that terrific rock guitar. She is so much more.. this is wonderful and I shall buy the album. Wow!

He’s picked her up on his fall tour…so more than likely we’ll see it. If the tour comes anywhere close to you; I’d advise you to go see it. Probably the last time we’ll see hee supporting another musician on tour.

This performance was incredible! Thank goodness it was captured as well as it was. And I could not disagree more with some of the comments about her not needing a band or that the guitar was too loud. This guys shreds and should be heard. I agree that her solo stuff is amazing, however this was brilliant.

73,660 views,....I'm responsible for at least the odd 660, can't get enough of this, I actually prefer this to the over produced Sony stuff, Our Vinyl Sessions are brilliant too, but this is just a different vibe..I guess there some sort of contractual rights over this because it's not around anywhere else, seen her live too, in a small venue which was awesome and there was nothing I didn't love about that night but I so wanted to see this recreated, High In Your Apartment and Let It Die are incredible tracks, I need a time machine.
As for the guitar being too loud? .... It is what it is, love it for that, or just move on by, no need to detract.

I have her Reckless Album and it is brilliant. I wonder if she will release some of the songs she played at this venue that are not on her Reckless album on her new album she will be releasing in 2023, lets hope she does because she and her band are Fantastic

This is (literally) my third time watching this particular performance. Morgan Wade is what music is all about! imho P.s. I love the first song! The first song (Is my favourite) has a…? Kinda…? Sabbath feel to it? (Nothing wrong with that) after the intro… he just needs to turn down his volumes about 2-3 clicks (give or take) Anyways: I know Country is all the rage, but I REALLY hope they (Sony) keep Morgan cross-genre friendly! Adele, Whitney, Lennox, Jewel, Crow (to put a male voice in the hat) I’ll even throw in Chris Cornell. All these singers crossed all genres! Whether people will admit it or not? Adele & Annie can both sing and write! That’s how special I think Morgan Wade can be! I really do

Yeh, I love this side of her , far less produced than the mainstream targeted stuff, so much more emotion, the opening track is brilliant, tbh, I love every track but my fav has to be Let It Die, I'm praying that we get to hear some kind of version of that when Morgan is over in the UK next month...
Well, anyone who says Annie Lennox can't write, (any genre) that's conversation over for me..I'm all for subjectivity, but when stupidity abounds some good ole objectivity is needed. This is one of those times..lol.
I do miss this show, but, MW is solid with her future. If I had one dimple like her, it'd be showing.

Agree with some other comments, feels more like the guitarists band and doesn’t need to be, Morgan Wade’s voice, guitar, and songs are all you need.
Morgan is a saint. Her lead man can shred, I think he is highly influenced by Warren Haynes & is bad ass but needs to turn his rigs volume down just a little bit. Other than that amazing show thanks for sharing absolutely brilliant

probably sounds great in person. its being recorded and then played on shitty speakers so there's going to be inevitable distortion... also depends on where the mic recording it is. if its closer to him or stage right, its gonna sound different than it would in person.

Nom is exactly right. I had thought the lead was a bit overpowering, then saw them live and the band sounded fantastic, not a bit overpowering at all. Then wathced a video of the same concert the next day and it sounded overpowering. Her band is absolutely amazing, obviously she is a legend in the making!!!!!

Amazing how critical some folks are on here. Would you say these things to the group after the show, in person? I sure hope not. I’m friends with a 50 yr rock icon who’s in the rock HOF --he reads every comment on most all RUclips posts related to his music. He’s discussed by many of he ugly things folks comment sometimes. This forum sometimes is the only verbal interaction an artist has to get a feeling of how the fans are receiving them.

One of those rare talents that can give chills in the best way. I hope she stays true to her roanoke and floyd county virginia roots. I get this is Roots2Rock. But, she doesn't need all the effects and metal solos. Lead guitar was way too loud. My favorites are just her and her guitar. Those songs really let her voice shine.
I agree the lead guitar is too load. Saw her in concert right before Covid and felt the same then. Her vocals rock 🤘🏼🔥
It still prefer the way this sounds over all of the overproduced glittery shit that they sprinkled on her new album.
Music is subjective.. Saying what she needs to do or not in her music is ignorant. Possibly narcissistic as well.
