Thank you again, Cathy, for testing this pattern for me. It turned out so pretty. I am anxiously awaiting the final picture once it is quilted. You have done an awesome job with this test. Blessings, Andrea, aka Mama J.
There is no such thing as wrapping things too good! Your quilt is beautiful! I hope your storm is hyped up, and you guys don't get too much bad weather!
I'll be watching the weather tonight and thinking of you. We have actually been in a 'snow hole' and have had no snow since hehe Christmas. However, it has been in the single digits or teens every night for the past week and we won't hit 30 until this weekend. It's not abnormal except for the length of time it's lasted. My husband put a small heater in the garage just to keep my plants that are wintering there above freezing.
Lol! I bought a large roll of bubble wrap to put away my Christmas dishes (which are really Halloween), went to wrap them up only to discover my husband had popped the bubbles! AN ENTIRE ROLL! I wanted to choke him but I was laughing to hard to catch him ;-) Our Hobby Lobby didn't have any 90 percent items - it got to 60% off and they sold out. They used to carry a great selection of Moda but no longer carry that.
As an eBay seller also I have decided to not sell breakables unless there’s a really good profit in it. I don’t know how many times I’ve packaged breakables and told myself stop buying breakables to sell 😂
Me too! I tell myself all the time - don't buy that, it can't ship without getting broken. But I did record packaging it and have still shots of all the packaging to provide if needed.
Today it is currently 35 with a feels like of 27. My concern is that the roads may ice over with the winds out of the NE at 12 up to 19mph. Prayers for those in need of them due to this system and hoping the power stays on.
It is currently 38 and raining here. It will be turning to slush later in the night and that is why I have to work. Hopefully it won't get too bad tonight.
@TheSiberianWind LOL way more than 7. Sounds good. I do have to work Thursday night but looks like I get off at 2 pm and then go back in at midnight. That is a good deal for me.
Did you buy the blue fabric from MSQ? It's pretty. I think it would be pretty on the santa quilt. I did a bundle this week for their special of the day...A Project bag type thing. But since I bought that, I see nothing else to add to the bundle. I miss the beginning somethings, with stripology.
Yes. When I am able to get some done that are not done as testers. Everything I made at Christmas sold through my local postings but now I will be listing as I get more done.
If you have a particular one in mind. I'm not actively trying to sell - just if there is something someone knows they saw and would like- i am willing to pull out the boxes to see if I have it.
The change in your hours sounds brutal! Is it going to be a permanent schedule change or just for the weather conditions currently? For piecing I use a regular point needle in my machine - I get them all from Amazon, Organ is the brand. They come in large amounts so are very economical compared to Schmetz and other brands. I change the needle immediately if I hit a pin, but otherwise change the needle out every couple of projects.
The time change is just for inclement weather. It will probably only be for the one night. I have some organ needles. Do you use a particular one for embroidery?
Good video Cathy. I just love the santa quilt. 🎅
Thank you! I do too.
Loved the vintage cups!
@@paulacox902 they are so pretty. I loved them.

You are so welcome! I love it too. Thank you for letting me test it. I can't wait to see wat the quilting looks like with snowflakes.

It is looking like we are going to have the combination of rain and cold temps which will lead to ice. Thank you.
Thanks, he is a cutie!

I keep bubble wrap in my bins. That would have been hilarious. Our Michael's carries Kona, Hoffman, and Robert Kaufman fabrics.
@@myhobbyhomelife Our Michael's doesn't carry fabric - it's more a decor and paper/art supplies store.
@@GinaGrowe keep a check on them then because the manager out our local Michaels said they will be adding fabric back to all stores.

I'm guessing a total of 7 pin sticks? LOL...I have the same problem when I pin borders! We'll play Thursday evening however we need to! ;)

I either purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
I spoilt mind taking a peek at your ebay. It's that where you'll be selling your crafty items?

Santa looks very handsome, what are you going to back with? Minky?
I will be backing with a blue fabric.
Cute quilt Cathy. What do you do when you have to go into work at midnight because of the weather after working days.?
I manage inventory, take calls from the public and police for road hazards, and manage my crews time and work orders.
@@myhobbyhomelife I don't know how you do it. You put in some long hours.
