Theres also a 3rd fingering for regular Eb/high Bb. If you play a regular E/high B and press the low Bb/high F key, you can also play a regular Eb/high Bb

My question about this is how do you articulate the higher notes, I've been able to hit a high A as my highest note so far (as a freshman in high school), but I can't figure out what articulation I have to replicate/to do for the higher notes like G#, high A and above

is this for French system or German? I play flute and also sax and now got a Buffet clarinet and trying for the 1st time to play and some keys sound differently from what is demonstrated.. im confused...

All but the last 3-4 altissimo notes, I had to pinch the reed. Saxophones are my primary instruments, so it’s a treat to find this video to learn the notes!

Same fingerings used for two different notes, that is because they are same sound
ex) C# =Db
If you cannot understand above, I recommend you to study basic notes, sharp and flat.

But are those altissimo notes often used in an orchestra?
High notes require delicate control and must be in tune with the orchestral harmony, so orchestras use a variety of techniques to suit the situation :-)

I don't understand something. My clarinet is also a Bp clarinet. But with the one you say as open G, my clarinet (and your's as weel) gives F4 according to my tuner. Can sombody give me a hint about what's happening here? By the way I'm new to music .
if you don’t using transposing tuner.
normal tuner(concert pitch) show major 2nd lower pitch.
Bb clarinet is Bb major instrument.

I came back to this (not to judge) but I just think that it was kinda odd how you hold the clarinet with your fingers almost diagonally rather than horizontally or traditionally. I just kinda wanted to know why if it’s okay.
it's hard to give a definite answer because each person's hand shape is different.
But considering most of the students and experiences I have met.
Here are few reasons why the diagonal fingering methods is used for this situation.
First, when moving the left-hand la-si fingering, the overall movement distance of the hand is shorter in the diagonal fingering method than in the horizontal fingering method.
Second, the accessibility of the K,L,M,N keys of the right hand makes diagonal fingering more responsive than horizontal fingering.
Third, the only benefit of horizontal fingering is that the little finger is closer to the key, which requires a lot of wrist movement with both hands.
Fourth, diagonal fingering can minimize wrist movements.
By changing the position of the hand moves a little, a large difference in reaction speed approaches. It is important to find a position that is natural and can accommodate all movements. If your hand is comfortable with horizontal fingering method you should do so.

Thanks very much for putting together this video. Greatly appreciated. On my clarinet I do not have the "G# point key" however I do have one which I would think would be labelled "N". I am not sure what this key is for.
N key is also called ‘Trill key’ which is used for trill 2 octave ‘Ra’ and ‘Si’. This key does not included in general fringering.

I play altissimo D and E with overtones on regular G and A. I do it by putting my bottom lip a bit lower on the reed
Is it that simple, i've been trying to hit higher notes like anything above the high G but I physically can't
@@TheHispanicUsername I think the trick for altissimo notes is just putting your bottom lip lower on the reed. I'm not sure tho but it works for me. Maybe not for everyone
What is the lowest key on the clarinet for?
the lowest note low E - right D key and left E key :-)

Why do you use note names like Cb and Fb, when no such exist in western music?
I'm pretty sure it exists, its also known as C flat and F flat respectfully.
It is a note that is unexpectedly often used in sheet music when it is necessary for harmony. In fact, many people get confused when these notes appear on the sheet music.
