I’m studying for my Part 107 Test and your videos have been amazing help literally open my eyes and ways you cannot imagine. Please make a “how to read NOTAMS” video for part 107. I would really appreciate it and I’m sure thousands of other people would too! Thank you.
by far one of the most helpful study guides out there! just passed today mostly cause of these videos. if you are trying to learn for the test watch all of these videos!!! can't stress enough of how much these helped!
thx... other than the last tidbit of info. concerning temperature/dewpoint in the desert, your explanation of METARs was easy to follow... Hopefully, you have another video comparing TAFs to METARs.... thank you again, Mr. Mig!!!!
passed my exam with a 92%! your channel was by far the easiest to follow because of how you broke everything down. OH... don't know if you covered it in another video but to calculate the base of a cloud using surface temp, the equation is : Temp - Dew point = x. ; [ x \ 4.4 (Fahrenheit) or 2.5 (celsius) ] * 1,000. = Cloud base. I probably botched the shit out of how i wrote that out but maybe you can touch on that in some new video, if you haven't already. Thanks for making all the videos! you're the reason i passed!
Bro! You have a great teaching style and explain things very well. After watching this video I feel pretty good about reading a METAR. I know I need more practice but you laid it all out in easy to understand language! Thanks Mr. Mig!
LOVE these videos! You really have a gift to explain things so well, especially when it comes to the difficult airspace stuff (like in the previous video to this series). And all in a timely manner. Thanks for doing these!!
Dude, I am glad they are helping you! let me know the results of your test after you take it. I have a playlist of about 8 part 107 videos. Also, let me know if I should add more test review videos. Right now I only have one of those on there.
@@MrMigsClassroom Hey man! Just finished the test. I passed with a 73%. I studied a total of maybe five hours, mainly watching your videos and a few other study guides that had some smaller bits of information that you didn’t cover on rules and regulations . I do think that uploading another test practice would be helpful to those who are taking it in the future. Regarding longitude/latitude material, maps and boundaries, and pretty much everything else that you covered in your videos, you had the best easiest teaching style to understand. Thanks so much, I can tell you love this material!
Awesome job James! You rock! Thanks for the feedback on the content. I was wondering if the test reviews were helpful, I will definitely add some more now.
I'm in WA State and just passed my exam this morning with an 83%! Only studied here over the past 10 days, thanks for putting together this content! I found some unfamiliar questions around Safety procedures, attitudes, and some regulatory items related to the Part 107 cert specifically (like I had a question asking who you must present your license to upon request for example) but evidently I guessed these correctly 😆
I'll engage with the engagement bait. A lack of standardized time zones would make operating hours far less predictable than they already are. It's easy to say that if you live in California the workday would just be Z16:00 to Z00:00 instead of 9-5, but where's the dividing eastern boundary where it changes to Z17-1?? Is it up to each business to decide on their own? Or do we just use the existing lines, in which case...why change? I live in Thailand. My parents live stateside. If I call and tell them I'd been up since 3 AM with my fussy baby, they immediately understand. If I said I'd been up since Z20:00, that's late afternoon for them. It doesn't give any indication of the implied experience because the time no longer has any attachment to a circadian frame of reference. The date would roll over at random times of day depending on your location. Calendar dates could imply either of multiple work/school days. This could cause a lot of confusion. "You want this by Tuesday? Do you mean the last hour before closing two days from now, or any time BEFORE that 3 days from now?" "We have Christmas off? Which day? Or are we taking two half-days?" Even for me, someone who interacts equally with people in and out of my timezone constantly, it feels like a better system than Universal Time, with one exception: the only time timezones are a struggle is flying. So I get why the aviation industry does it, but expanding beyond that would just make so many problems.
I think you video is very helpful. unfortunately I'm detecting other parts of this growing industry as a dishonest money grab. I encourage everyone who considers going into this industry to keep you figurative eyes wide open. again excellent video. thanx
Excellent content! I have a question though. On all of the practice metar questions, there seems to be three or four continuous lines and not one single line. It will have you try to find a certain time within the metar to try to find statute mile or something of that nature. Is there any chance you could break down one of those practice test questions?
Thanks for all your videos. They help tremendously. However, I have not been successful in decoding yesterday's metar and have not found the answers to my question on various websites. Thought maybe you could help. I will express the abbreviations I don't understand in capital letters. koi 170053z 00000k 1/4sm R10R/1200V11400ft fzfg VV001 m01/m02 a3034 rmk a02 slp298 T1011017
One time zone actually sounds amazing. So much constantly lost in translation, why add translation. People will just adjust to what time of day it is on new number ranges.
The best Part 107 exam tutorials on RUclips. Thank you!
Thanks Sam!
I just took and passed my part 107 test with an 80%. I watched many of your videos multiple times and they were extremely helpful. Thank you, sir!

Thanks Lexie, you are welcome!
You are a very good teacher.
Ohhhh!!! Instead of a "mic drop" we got a "Marker Drop" at the end LoL! Great work!! I really enjoy your videos
Bro, you are the man. I have 2 days to study for this and your videos are fantastic.

Excellent demo!
Thank you, Mr. MiG! I am new to teaching drones. This is so helpful.

Fantastic video!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Another great video. Explained METARs clearly- 10NM!
Great breakdown
Great tutorial sir. Thank you for taking the time to explain.

Thanks JD!
Very vague. Cite some examples.
Thank you for the video! Some degree measurements are true north while others are magnetic north. Do you know which applies to which situations.
Thanks for these videos
Good job. Thank you for doing this.
Thanks so much for this video. Question, whats the B in KBNA?

Those are TAF reports not METARs. Please watch my video about both TAFs and METARs.

Ah crap...thanks lol
Do you need to maintain visibility of your drone during flight? If I can see 3 SM + but can not see my drone, is that ok?
Where is a good place to do practice tests for free online?
I was told that you have to convert the Zulu time to local time
…correct. Zulu and UTC are interchangeable. Both have to be converted to local.
I saw where an easy way to remember BR is by thinking of it as baby rain.
